I felt the world spin as I stared at the two of them.

They moved like there was no one watching. And maybe that’s exactly what they thought—that they were alone. Until Sheila turned her head and saw me.

For a moment, she froze when our eyes met. But then she looked away and replaced the shock with a mocking smile. She gripped Justin’s waist tighter and rolled her hips deliberately.

“Oh, Justin!” she moaned.

It was like a thousand knives stabbed me in the chest.

She saw me—and she still kept going.

How could she do this to me?

She was my best friend. The one who knew all my complaints in life. All my relationship problems—including my doubts about Justin.

My fists clenched at my sides. The pain that consumed me slowly began to turn into something darker. Rage.

“You... You heartless monsters!” I cried, my voice shaking violently.

Justin immediately stopped and turned toward me, eyes wide with shock. He quickly scrambled off Sheila and pulled a blanket over his naked body.

Sheila pretended to look surprised too, but I knew—deep in my bones—that she was rejoicing inside.

“Aren’t you supposed to be in Italy?” Justin asked, like that was really the most important thing right now.

I narrowed my eyes at him, trembling all over, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might explode.

He really had the nerve to ask me that?

“Yes! But I didn’t expect to come home to this! How could you do this to me? Both of you?! I trusted you!”

“We’re sorry, Mica! It’s not what you think!” Sheila cried, her eyes welling up with tears. Her expression was one of pure guilt as if she actually cared.

And that only made my rage burn hotter.

Not even ten minutes ago, she was moaning like a pornstar under my fiancé—while staring straight into my eyes. Now she wanted to cry? Now she wanted to act like she was scared?

Justin glanced at Sheila with concern. Then when he turned back to me, his expression had shifted. The panic was gone. Replaced by... annoyance.

“Get out, Mica. This doesn’t concern you. Sheila doesn’t deserve this drama.”

My jaw dropped. “Get out? You're fucking her! And you're telling me she’s not involved? What the hell is she then—some kind of blow-up doll you decided to use because I wasn't around?”

Justin’s eyes narrowed.

“You know what? You’re right,” he said coldly. “I’m glad you found out. Hiding this was getting exhausting. And honestly? I was stupid to care about how you’d feel. You’ve always been too easy to fool.”

“You... You bastard…”

Sheila grabbed Justin’s arm.

“Babe, stop! You can’t say that to my best friend!” she said, as if she were truly worried about me. Then she turned to me with that same pathetic, teary-eyed look.

“S-Sorry, Mica. Justin doesn’t know what he’s saying…”

I laughed bitterly. It came out sharp and cracked—like glass breaking.

“Save it,” I snapped. “You can both rot in hell together.”

“Don’t be dramatic,” Justin muttered, rolling his eyes.

I looked at the man I once thought I’d marry, the man I once defended to everyone—even when he didn’t deserve it. And beside him stood the woman I trusted more than anyone, the woman who held my secrets and dreams.

I felt something inside me snap.

“You know what?” I said, voice low. “You two deserve each other. A liar and a snake. I hope the betrayal keeps you warm at night.”

Justin smirked, like he had won something.

But he didn’t know me at all.

I stepped back, turned toward the door, and forced myself to walk out of that room with my head held high—even as my heart shattered into pieces.

He was good—too good—in bed. But I also knew it had been a huge mistake. Before it could go any further, I forced myself to shove him away and slap him hard across the face.“How dare you?!” My voice trembled with fury. “Do you really think you can just waltz into my life like this?” My chest heaved. “Whatever happened between us in the past was a mistake. So please, Damien—move on.”I emphasized his name, hoping it would sink in. But instead of being offended, he actually smiled. He rubbed his jaw slowly, as if savoring the sting.“Well,” he murmured, his voice rich with meaning, “I’m sorry. But you started it… so you should fi

I blinked rapidly, my pulse hammering in my ears. I wanted to push him away, but my body… it wouldn’t move. It was like my muscles had locked up from the weight of his words. He wasn’t even smiling to soften them—no hint of a joke.“H-Huh?”The corner of his lips curled, slow and deliberate, a predator’s smirk. His eyes narrowed slightly, searching mine like he could dig through my thoughts if he stared long enough.I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly so dry it almost burned. My heartbeat was getting louder, faster—thud, thud, thud—until I was certain he could hear it, too.“I still remember everything, Mika,” he whispered. His breath slid across my cheek, warm and intoxicating, laced with fresh mint and the faint, smoky bite of whiskey. My knees trembled—not just from the words, but from the memory they dragged to the surface. Then—his touch. Fingers brushing my cheek with the kind of care that made my skin ache. My breaths came uneven, shallow, like my lungs had forgotten how to wo

I couldn’t have done it without you and the team.”“You’re too humble,” she teased. “No wonder everyone here keeps watching you.”I laughed softly, but my cheeks warmed. If only she knew—one person was watching me, and it wasn’t admiration in his gaze. It was something darker, sharper… and far more dangerous. When I first arrived in Italy, I didn
