"Oh no, what do I do?" Violet sweated profusely.
Her chest stung from lack of proper breath as she was hyperventilating. She didn't want to, but her body was buzzing. All the memories of assault done by the men inside the mansion, or outside, came roaring back.
"No, please, no. Why now? Oh moon goddess! It's just the first lecture. I still have the whole day to go through." She sobbed.
Violet splashed more water on her face. She checked here and there for any hidden lipstick or a compact powder. She wanted to hide that look of terror. She didn't want to be a prey.
"Please, Please..." She checked under the sink, behind the trashcan and even behind the hand drying machine.
She was still frantically searching for a piece of broken lipstick or anything she could use when the door burst open. Violet ceased all motions. She battled to stand still but she failed
44The clothes... Violet tugged at the hem of the top. It wasn’t hers. Neither were the pants. She had something else on her body when she left the mansion in the morning. But now, she had a completely different outfit on."Did mom notice? Should I tell her?" She pulled at the top, memories of how it came to her flashing back.Flashback...Blood. There was an unimaginable amount of blood on the tiles around Violet's body when she gained her senses back. She whimpered in terror as she touched her palms to her cheeks. Everything felt coarse, broken, out of place. She could feel the splinters of broken bones prodding her skin on the face. She could feel the prick under her fingers while her face was numb. Violet wept, unable to recall anything. She just remembered that she had been brutally punched in the face by Kiara, and then she passed out. Getting up from the bloody floor, Violet looked at herself in the mirror and seized her mouth in a vice-like grip to keep from screaming. Her fa
43Kiara reached home first given she threatened the driver to break all traffic rules and get her home quickly. This was her. All the time. She always pushed others to break the rules for her but when they got caught, she lectured them about discipline… Pretending she hadn't been the one who made them cross the line.Kiara jumped out of the car and bolted inside the mansion. She turned the corridors and stopped only when she was outside her father's room. She heard loud moans and her father's grunts but anyway she barged inside, catching Alpha Arnold off guard. "Aaahh!"While the maid he was pounding into let out a shriek and scrambled off the bed with the blanket around her body to hide herself, Alpha Arnold frantically searched for another piece of cloth he could use to cover himself."Uh, er, honey, you could've waited for me in my cabin. You didn't—""It's urgent, dad! We both can't afford to delay this conversation. It's about Violet." Kiara said as she clenched her fists."But

41Violet's POV I didn't miss the look of jealousy in Kiara's posture. She was the only one who hadn't turned around to look at me as I spoke. She was very still, very rigid. Ben beside her was running the tip of his tongue all over his lips in a seductive manner. That's what he probably thought he looked, to me he just looked like a pervert. Cameron was also gaping at me, and unlike his pervert friend, he appeared rather amazed. "Rogues are rogues. They have no rules, no code of conduct, no wits. Just crazy strength and hunger. Hunger for blood. Hunger for women they can use. Hunger for causing disturbance to other packs. Hunger for defeating an organized Alpha or kidnapping his Luna to provoke. They are not organized like us and they surely do not learn fighting techniques. We do. Combine it with a silver dagger and you're good to go.""HOW, Miss Einstein? Don't just explain things we already know. Talk about the technique." Cameron snapped right as I took a breath to pause. His
40Violet's POV The hooky players were ogling at me like I was a ghost. I chuckled and tried to focus in the class. Many heads turned behind to look at me eventually, but nothing piqued my interest as much as Kiara did. She was sitting in the front on the first seat. Ben was next to her. She seemed to appear calm but her hands were clenched. Although she pretended to be attentive, I could see her ears turning red. She was furious. Her body was suddenly stiff and I know why. Kiara had always been a little shy around me. She might be the future Alpha, I somehow took the limelight from her when we were together. That was the only thing that made her dislike me. But I brushed it off, thinking that I was just assuming. I could never doubt the girl who provided me with a home and family. Best clothes and luxury I could only dream about. Alas… I've been betrayed in the worst way. "Okay, let me ask you all a question." The professor said and I sat straight."War strategies have evolved o
39Violet's POV It was rather a quick affair— Giving the Principal, Mr. Richard Kimble the letter and then tests to specify where I stood academically, and in which field do I show more potential to fair. My answer sheets were in the Principal's hands. He was squinting his eyes at my answers as his mouth trembled before it hung open. "This is... Disbelieving! Have you been taking classes in secret, Violet?" I shook my head in a no. Principal Kimble just gaped at me for a long, long minute as a look of utter bafflement befell on his face. "Terrific!" He laughed. "All your answers are right. There's not a single answer that I can hold against you. You’ve got talent across all three fields. But I'll have to say your answers related to medical sciences are very detailed and accurate." He praised. I just smiled. Honestly, I don't know how I was able to do that. It's just that when I read the questions the answers came to me instantly. I didn’t even have to think much because the answ
