Vanessa's POV

I woke from my short nap, feeling slightly more refreshed. But my stomach rumbled, reminding me that I hadn't eaten in hours. I decided to head down to the kitchen to see what the maids were preparing for lunch. My ears perked up at the sound of my name, and I hurriedly crept closer to the kitchen door. I could hear the maids' voices clearly now, their words sharp and clear.

"She's cheating on the Alpha," I heard one of the maids whisper.
