Third Person's POV
"This woman's such a pushover. No wonder men fall for her," Bianca sneered, glaring at Sunny, her teeth gritted.
"Truth is, I'd love to have some fun with her myself. Pity the boss forbids touching her—we'll just have to keep our hands off," the driver said with a sly grin.
Sunny didn't wake to a gentle nudge, but to a splash of cold water straight to the face.
Jolted awake by the shock and sting of it, she opened her eyes to find herself tied to a chair with rope. Panic set in instantly.
"Help! Somebody help me! Let me out of here! Anybody—help!" she screamed, her voice trembling with fear.
"Clarissa! Clarissa, where are you?" she called out, thinking her assistant must be in danger too.
The door creaked open, and in strode a woman with short hair and heavy makeup, a sneer playing on her lips.
At first, Sunny didn't recognize her and shouted, "Who are you? Let me out of here this instant!"
Third Person's POVSunny hastily raised her hand to shield her face. At that moment, a black sedan screeched to a halt beside her.The door flew open, and Leo's anxious face appeared in the doorway...Sunny felt certain she was hallucinating—hunger and exhaustion were making her vision blur. How could she be seeing Leo's face?"What are you waiting for? Get in the car!" The man's voice was urgent and pained. She snapped to attention, her eyes widening. In the next instant, a large hand yanked her into the vehicle. The black sedan shot into the traffic like an arrow released from a bow and vanished at the end of the street. At this moment, a man sat down opposite Olivia."Your daughter is safe. It's time to fulfill your promise," the man said coldly.Olivia's taut nerves finally relaxed, and she nodded. "Alright, I'll go with you now."Just then, her phone rang—it was Richard. She answered the ca
Third Person's POV"You're quite detached, unlike Nick. He's still stuck in that mess," Richard remarked, casting a sidelong glance at Nick.Emily feigned surprise and said, "You actually have a thing for Catherine? What's so great about her? She just puts on an act of being innocent...""Stop talking nonsense! Just eat." Nick interrupted sharply.Emily fell silent but smirked inwardly; it seemed Nick was serious this time.Catherine... she couldn't help but feel envious.Midway through the meal, Richard's phone rang.Seeing the caller ID, he frowned. The moment he answered, his expression turned grim, and he hurriedly excused himself to his room.Emily tensed—she had heard a woman's voice on the other end of the line.Nick also paused, staring after his father. She continued to eat as if nothing had happened, but inside, she began to scheme—it seemed Richard was finally receiving the call he'd
Third Person's POVHe worried most about her safety—where was she being held, and was she hurt?On the night Richard appeared on the talk show, Nick watched too.As soon as Richard got home, they erupted into a fight."How could you do this? Are you ashamed of my late mother? This is too much!" Nick yelled, feeling his father's words were a slap in the face for his mother.Richard lit a cigarette and explained calmly, "Calm down. It's just a temporary move. How else could I draw Olivia out? Your search yielded nothing, and I'm running out of time.""So because Mom's gone, you can use her however you like? I'm still alive! Do you want everyone to know I'm the child you had with a woman you didn't love?" Nick said bitterly. When Richard was in prison, Nick had tried every means to save him.Now that he was out, his life was more chaotic than ever."Nick, great achievements require sacrifice. I'm doing this for your f
Third Person's POVBianca waved at the man. "Bring in a chair."Sunny stared intently at the grotesque scar on her face, her stomach churning.Every expression of this woman filled her with disgust."Sunny, you know what? I've been watching you for a long time," Bianca took two steps closer, her eyes as cold as a viper's."Freak! Stay away from me!" Sunny glared at her."No, I've been watching you because my mom and your mom... used to be 'close friends,'" Bianca said, crossing her arms and smirking maliciously.Bianca arms crossed, a malicious smile played at the corner of her mouth, "Your mom, that bitch, betrayed my mom. Me coming to you—consider it karma."Sunny's pupils shrank. She forced herself to stay calm. "Nonsense! I don't believe a word of it.""Olivia. Back then, she was pregnant with you and working in the same nightclub as my mom...""Stop it! Olivia's my neighbor, not my mom! You don't even h
Third Person's POV"It's impossible. Who was Sunny with today? Interrogate that person," Blake said. He knew Sunny's skills well enough to be certain she wouldn't be kidnapped in public again."It was her assistant, Clarissa. I checked, and she claimed they parted ways in the afternoon," Leo said, leaning wearily against the chair.Blake narrowed his eyes, staring at the night outside the car window. "It's already past midnight, and Sunny still isn't back. Summon Clarissa to the company on the pretext of worrying about Sunny's safety.""You suspect her?" Leo stiffened, a chill running down his spine."If she dares to come, her suspicion lessens; if not..." Blake sneered. "What do you think?"Leo snapped to attention. "Right! Why didn't I think of that? Blake, you're always calm in critical moments.""Anyone can lose their composure in situations like this. I might not fare better myself," Blake patted Leo's shoulder."You must
Third Person's POVBlake narrowed his cold eyes; he was certain Olivia was hiding a crucial secret.Olivia was in agony, covering her face with her hands as she wept bitterly, "Why? Why won't you send me to the police? Why won't you believe me? Are you really trying to get my daughter killed?""Olivia, where's Sunny? Tell us now!" Blake strode forward, gripping her wrist furiously, almost growling.Olivia was utterly desperate, shaking her head mechanically. "I can die, but not my daughter! Don't ask anymore, just send me to the police!""Richard kidnapped Sunny to force you to take the fall, didn't he? And he warned you not to tell a soul, or he'd kill her," Blake's gaze was like a knife. "I'm curious—how did he know Sunny was your daughter? Did he find out long ago?"Olivia froze, her voice trembling: "Yes… He's forcing me to confess and not to utter a word. Only if I plead guilty will my daughter live. Please, save her—
