LOGINIn all my life, I have never believed that Ronan, who has shown me endless affection, would stab me in the chest—not just with anyone, but with my sister, whom he claimed to hate!
The sister I shouldn't have pitied when her mate threw her out of his pack seven years ago.
I should have known. Whenever I tried to throw her out for her deceitful acts, Ronan always told me to have pity on her. How come I didn't see all this? How come I didn't notice their affair?
It felt like a slap to my face. The shock had drained every ounce of life left in my body. As much as I tried to fight back the tears, I couldn't.
I sniffed, my eyes locked on Ronan, whose eyes glared at me with disgust.
"Zenaya, you shouldn't have found out this way, but you chose to have a miscarriage of all days and interrupted us," he said steadily, his expression as hard as a rock.
My breath caught.
Wow... so my pregnancy didn't even matter to him? He didn't even care! And he's saying this? What changed? When I announced I was pregnant, he seemed like the happiest man alive. What changed?
"Yo...u are speaking about your child in this manner?" I yelled, my throat burning with infinite flames.
"Don't piss me off, Zenaya. How can I accept a child from a woman I don't love?" He chuckled coldly, his lips stretching into a smirk. "Being with you all these years has been hell for me, but I can't pretend anymore."
"Wow, Ronan. You should be proud of yourself. How dare you say this to me?" I snapped, clenching my fists at my sides, the shock and betrayal slowly being replaced with anger.
"And who are you? Who the fuck do you think you are? Why can't he speak to you the way he wants?" Enya's high-pitched voice interrupted, and Ronan and I stared at her.
Her lips curled into a frown, and I sneered. "I always knew you'd stoop so low, but I didn't know you'd go even lower. Shame on you, Enya," I spat with rage.
I expected her to fight back like she always did, but her lips twitched into an amused smirk.
"Don't speak to my mate like that. I won't tolerate it," Ronan's words settled like a bomb, and my eyes widened in horror, my forehead breaking out in sweat.
"Wha...t... wha...t did you say?" I trembled, my voice barely audible.
He rubbed his temples gently and took one last pity on me before sighing. "Yes, the day she came to this pack was the day I found out she was my mate," he replied as dryly as he could.
"T...ell me it's a joke, right? How can she be your mate when I'm your mate?" My voice cracked, letting the tears stream down my eyes freely.
How is this possible? I can't seem to understand. On my 20th birthday, we accepted our bond, and our fate became sealed. What are they implying? No... no... this can't happen. I just really need to wake up from this nightmare.
"Mom and Dad, I really need you," I screamed in my mind, but unfortunately, they were both dead, massacred when our pack was invaded by rogue werewolves.
But I felt changes in my body immediately, my wolf breaking with each passing minute. I can't lose her! No, I just can't. If I lose her, I will die. She's the only family I have left.
Enya suddenly shook her head with a sarcastic frown. "Awwn, poor you. Yes! Your husband and I are mates, sister, and I found out seven years ago when I got cast away from my previous mate's pack." Immediately she said that, her eyes flashed with hatred.
But they flicked back to a wild smile. "But I chose to endure all these years, keeping our relationship a secret. Not anymore. I can't also keep our child a secret," her lips curled into a grin as she placed her hands on her stomach.
Ronan and I snapped our heads towards her. He strode towards her and tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Are... you... pregnant?" he stammered.
She nodded, and then it started again—the sharp, stabbing agony I felt earlier. It wasn't just my miscarriage pain alone, now it was mixed with anxiety, heartbreak, and betrayal. If I stood here any longer, I might pass out.
Ronan spread his arms widely, and she wrapped her body around him, hugging him tighter than ever as she gave me a dagger-like smile.
So she's pregnant? And Ronan neglected my child and watched it die while hugging another woman for being pregnant? How much worse can this get?
"Finally, a child I can accept from someone I love," he whispered softly, not even giving a flying fuck that I was sitting on the cold floor, numb and bleeding. My whole life with him was nothing but a joke! He ruined my life, made me fall in love with him, but all this while, he was in love with my sister!
Ronan Conrt, the Alpha of Dreadish Moon, you will pay for ruining my life. You two will pay for making me bleed!
My fists fumbled into balls, my hands covered in blood as I managed to scramble to my feet.
My lower abdomen felt like it had been punched, and I let out a wince as the pain almost made me fall back. But then Ronan stood up and walked meticulously towards me.
He stood a few inches away from me and folded his arms across his chest.
"Look, as much as I hate to say this, I'm sorry you got to find out everything like this. But one thing you should be thankful for is that the thing in your womb couldn't stay. The Moon Goddess knows how terribly you'd have begged to feed both yourself and your child," he scoffed.
I couldn't break eye contact, my eyes staring into his grey eyes, which screamed hatred.
These eyes? These same eyes that would stare at me with affection? These same eyes that whispered love?
What changed?
"What changed?" I asked softly, my voice shaking terribly, not breaking eye contact, trying to see if I could find even the slightest ounce of remorse in them.
"Everything," he replied quickly, without even thinking it through. "The day I found out you were my mate, I cursed that day. I hated you on sight. Not months after, your sister arrived, and we accepted our bond. When you told me you were pregnant, I almost lost it. But why lose it when you can just get rid of the child?" He chuckled bitterly, and Enya burst into evil laughter, which filled the room.
My shoulders stiffened. They made me miscarry? How could they?
"How dare you?" My pulse hammered against my ribs.
That was it. In a swift movement, I lunged towards Ronan, but he was quick to detect my move. He caught me and swung his hand across my cheek, sending me flying, and I slammed my back against the wall.
"Zenaya Arish,
before the Moon Goddess, I, Alpha Ronan Conrt, the Alpha of Dreadish Pack, reject you!"
Ronan has a twin brother? How come I never knew? How was that even possible? My stomach dropped. All these years, he'd kept me in the dark. According to everything he'd told me, he was an only child.A bitter scoff escaped my lips. That dog, Ronan. Maybe he betrayed his own brother too.Rumors had always spread through the pack, calling him the devil in disguise, but I'd never believed them. I had been a fool, blinded by the illusion of his love.If only I could turn back time... I'd drive a dagger straight through his eyes. They think they've won? No.This game is only just beginning.I'm going to make them pay. I'll drag their names through the mud until they have nothing left.Snap! The sharp snap of fingers yanked me from my thoughts. My gaze lifted to meet a pair of striking emerald-green eyes staring back at me with chilling indifference. His cold gaze sent an involuntary shiver crawling down my spine."I'm asking you a question, Zenaya."His deep voice echoed through the room, h
I knew that voice. It wasn't the voice of someone with good intentions. I'd traveled through countless packs delivering herbs and letters. I'd crossed paths with rogues before—fought them, been wounded by them, even killed them. That was the voice of a rogue werewolf... or a trafficker.Without looking back, I bolted into the forest. It gave chase.A hungry growl echoed behind me, eager for the hunt. My instincts were correct.A ROGUE WEREWOLF.I bolted deeper into the woods, ignoring the leaves that lashed against my skin. My feet pounded the rain-soaked earth, sending muddy water splashing up my legs. The ground was slippery, but I didn't care."You can't run from me, cupcake. Tough human." The rogue's sarcastic voice rang out behind me, growling. My eyes widened. He was so close. Why wasn't I moving as fast as I expected?A werewolf could easily cover over a hundred kilometers without breaking a sweat. I'd barely made it ten before my legs screamed in protest. So this... this was w
Immediately those words left his lips, I felt it—the burning agony, the pain of rejection. It started from my chest, then slowly traveled to my stomach. A scream tore through my throat, my heart hammered against my ribs, and I thought it'd explode. My nails scraped against the marble. Each breath felt like shards of glass slicing through my lungs.Dark veins crawled beneath my skin. The black veins crawled up my arms and down my legs until something inside me shattered. The bond! But all this wasn't important to me at the moment, not until I felt it—my wolf slowly detaching from me. I stretched out my hands for her to come back to me, to stay with me, but she stopped, turned slowly towards me, and vanished into the air."Noooooo!" I screamed, and all the pain I had felt was gone, replaced with emptiness.I had lost my child, lost my wolf, and also lost my mate!"Awww, so pitiful. She had lost her child and also her wolf. Poor sister, you lost everything in one night," Enya's high-pitc

Chapter 1I tightened my grip around my lower abdomen as another vicious cramp ripped through me. Curling into a ball on the bed, I squeezed my eyes shut, my heart hammering wildly against my ribs while each ragged breath caught painfully in my throat. At first, I dismissed it as another wave of anxiety. Then the pain worsened. It twisted deep inside my abdomen, tightening until I could barely breathe. A broken whimper escaped my lips as cold sweat gathered on my forehead. With the little strength I had left, I forced myself off the bed.My knees buckled the moment my feet touched the floor. I collapsed onto the cold marble, my stomach scraping against the unforgiving surface as I dragged myself toward the bedroom door. Every inch felt like a mile, my trembling fingers clawing helplessly at the polished floor."Ronan..." I whispered, my voice barely audible.Panic clawed at my chest. Where was he?He was nowhere to be found. Were we really going to lose our child... like this?A sob l
