MELANIE’S POV

Six months later

I wave of ease clung around me as I watched Talon learn how to swim with his father in the pool of the house. I laughed when he actually ducked Dwane and swam like a turtle, twisting and turning out of his grip.

That's my boy. He laughed out, more like shrieked out his laughter, when his father could not catch up with his laughter. I loved how much he was attached to his dad.

Even though I got jealous at times, but it was all for show. I loved him anyways. He'd sometimes come to me while I was sleeping on the couch and wrap himself around me.

He loved sleeping on top of my bossom. Probably got that from his dad, cause does that at every relaxing time he got.

We've. Had a lot of fun this past months. Although there was still this dark cloud hanging and hovering around us somewhere, and we both knew this.

But we have tried to get past it. And make the most of our time and each other when we had it. The weeks after Talon's incident were kinda itchy. But
