"He's omega?" Chris asked, still surprised. In disbelief.

In the living room, he sat with Lvan on one of the three couches, waiting for Devlin.

After what Chris said, Even fainted and Devlin took him back to his room.

"I've known Even more than 10years, I didn' know he was omega" Chris said.

"Yeah, me too" Lvan replied.

"Carlos ran out so fast. I thought his butt was on fire or something" Chris joked and he (Lvan) smiled, "You saw that?" He (Lvan) asked.

Yes, he (Chris) saw that.

Even in that situation, he still watched it.

There was no way he was missing that.

"Well, Even is unmated. If he stayed any longer, he would have attacked him. Driven crazy by his desire to claim him (Even)" Lvan said.

They (he and Chris) were not affected because they were already mated.

"I wonder, what happened to Even?" Chris asked.

"Is the pills he took" Devlin answered, coming down from the stairs.

Surprised, they watched as he (Devlin) took a seat on the couch opposite theirs.

"The pills?" Lvan asked, surprised.

He knew the effects of that pills turned omegas into alphas.

Destroyed their (Omegas) wombs.

However, he did not know it turned betas into omegas.

"Yes. He's not entirely omega. But then,.........his pheromones......is becoming that of an Omega's. His scent is that of a beta's. But his body, and pheromones,...... Has changed. If possible, can you call a doctor?" Devlin asked.

What was Devlin saying?

They were confused.

"I don't get it" Chris voiced out.

"Well,.......the pills did work on Even. However, he did not gain the abilities of an alpha. Only covered up his scent and pheromones and made him appear as an alpha. Why he never got the abilities of an alpha,....... I believe it has something to do with his body. Even.......Even is no ordinary beta. I believe the pills he took tried to change him into omega because........"

"Because?" Lvan asked, curious and impatient.

"He's not fully omega. There's something else and if Even could fully turn into omega, then,.........taking more of the pills, he'll........ He'll fully turn into an alpha. His scent, pheromones and body, will turn into an alphas. The pills he took was a bit different from the ones your mate, Tristan, used to take" Devlin said, surprising them.

So,......he knew about Tristan too.

What more did he knew?

What more was he hiding?!

Lvan thought, a serious look on his face as he stared at Devlin.

"You know so much about the pills" Chris said.

Devlin nodded, "Yes" he said.

"I know a lot about the pills. They'll called Happy Pills"

"Happy pills? That man said the same" Chris said, surprised.

Yes, Chris told him (Lvan) about it this morning.

"Is not the company's name but the name of the pills. Meaning, they're made in the same company" Lvan said.

"Is those humans. They create different kinds of pills with werewolf blood and it benefits all paranormal beings and humans. In a good way, and in a bad way" Devlin said, angering Chris and Lvan.

Then.........Devlin was right.

Those pills the witch used to take made her look younger.

So.........he was right.

They made different kinds of pills.

Using werewolf blood.

Lvan thought, angry.

"That illegal humans organization really piss me off" Chris said, angry.

"Yes. Not all the pills have the same effect. And Even.........I believe he should see a doctor. He stopped taking those pills not long ago but the damage has already been done" Devlin said, concern.

"Right! I'll call Dr Jones" Chris said, getting up while taking his phone from his pocket.

"We'll talk about this later. You'll tell me everything you know about the pills" Lvan said with a serious look and he nodded.

But before that,..... He'll have to get Harley out of there.

Devlin thought.

"Devlin" he heard his name and he smiled.

Behind the door to Even's room, Devlin stood.

Worried, but that smile never left his face.

"Yes, is me" Devlin replied.

"I.......I......" Even began but couldn't find another word to say.

He......He was speechless.

"Don't worry, am not coming in. I'll just sit here" Devlin said, taking a seat on the floor behind the door before leaning against it.

Seconds later, he heard footsteps and he knew Even was getting close.

True.

Even was close and has made himself comfortable on the other side.

On the other side, behind the door sat Even, leaning against it.

"I'm right behind you" Even said and he (Devlin) smiled.

"Is this okay? Not too close?" Devlin asked, smiling.

"I'm fine" Even replied with a smile.

Yes. 

He was fine.

His body was no longer burning.

No longer felt uncomfortable.

But then, his heart was racing.

Not in agreement with the rest of his body.

"Brilliant" Devlin replied.

"Uh,.......Devlin"

"Yes?" Devlin answered, giving his mate all of his attention.

"What am I?" Even asked and the sadness, confusion in his tone couldn't be missed.

Devlin wanted nothing more but to get closer.

Hug his mate.

Comfort.

Tell him everything was going to be alright.

"What have I become? What's my true identity?" Even asked, tears in his eyes.

He was devastated! Confused.

Heartbroken.

Scared.

What was he?

Devlin told him.

He wasn't exactly a beta or omega.

Wasn't an alpha.

What was he?

What would become of him now?

He was a monster!

Did he.......did his mate still want him?

Even would be broken forever if he (Devlin) rejected him.

'I'm sorry' his wolf said.

'You knew, right? " his wolf asked and he did not answer.

His wolf knew.

Knew about the other one as well.

The other one he was yet to find out.

"Even, listen" Devlin said, gaining his attention.

Devlin could feel his fears and he wanted to make it clear to his mate (Even)

"Nothing will make me leave you. I'll never leave you. I'll stay by your side forever. Whatever happens, I'll stay by your side. I don't care who you are, what you've become. I only know Even. And he's the one I want to stay with until my last breath" 

Hearing those words, Even smiled.

Feeling relief, happy.

Grateful to have a mate like Devlin.

"Promise?"

"I promise" Devlin said and he (Even) smiled.

Nothing will make him leave Devlin.
