Chapter 28

Simon hadn’t even thought about Rafael’s visit to the hospital. He was busy with his patients and those he operated on. Sometimes he calls Luna, and he is not too worried because it is only at the police station and not in the field.

“Aren’t you going home yet, Clara?” Simon asked as he approached her table.

Simon was already carrying his bag and was on his way home after a long operation he had performed. It was close to midnight at that moment.

“Are you going home, doc?” Clara asked.

“Yeah, it has been a long day. I’m tired,” said Simon. “Let’s go home.”

“Someone will pick me up, doc,” Clara said, smiling.

“Oh, I see.” Simon smiled. “Then I’ll be ahead of you.”

“Be careful, doc,” Clara said.

Simon walked quickly out of the office. He went straight to the elevator and his car's basement parking lot. He immediately approached his vehicle but heard a voice from behind before he could open the door.

“Who are you? What do you know about me? ”

Simon turned his back and saw Rafael
