Chapter Fourteen

Nina's POV.

He stopped running– I still haven't asked him his name until now! Let's just call him Mr. Alien for now.

When I tried to look around, all I could see were blurred objects. He is running so fast, that you thought he was running on a straight and paved road. For pete's sake, there are many trees and large bulking roots above the ground.

The run was so smooth that I thought it was just a walk in the park. No bumps, hops, and zigzags at all!

A few minutes later Alien stopped running. He stopped at the side of a huge tree and took a deep powerful breath.

Its breathing is very heavy. He was heaving air in and out, and that's not surprising, given the distance we ran through the forest plus the fact that he was still freaking carrying me in that whole duration. I won't be too surprised if he suddenly falls due to his leg shaking.

But the thing that surprised me is that he didn't even stop to rest for a bit, he was running very steadily earlier.
