Clary felt awful for the guy. It was already bad enough that he looked as if he hadn't had a wash in while and was starving himself but the monotone he spoke in, the way he stared right through him made Clary want to shake every last Originals she could get her hands on, including her own mate. It was as if Roger had checked out completely, as though he had already given up and was waiting for death to come along and claim him, again. She didn't even know what to say to the guy.

"Did Anna mention any consequences?"
