DOMINEERING HUSBAND

Chapter 2.

Joel marched hastily into the hospital with heavy footsteps. He was the center of attraction for everyone in the hospital because there has been a lot of commotions ever since he stepped in.

He doesn't seem to give a fúçk about it as his major concern was getting to his wife. He needed to go in and see for himself! He needs to be sure that Olivia is awake.

Pushing the door to the ward open, he stopped right on his track as he locked gaze with Olivia.

He felt his heart melt as those pair of ocean blue eyes stared directly at his. He couldn't bring himself to look away. He has been waiting for this day to come! The day when those eyes would finally be open and the day is finally here.

Even as she was still in the hospital wear, and her hair, a little bit disheveled.. She still looked really beautiful!.. She didn't change a bit.

As though he was controlled by a manipulative force, Joel found himself rushing towards her. He pushed the doctor out of his way, almost making the doctor loose his balance.

He engulfed Olivia into a bone crushing hug as if he never wanted her out of his sight.

Olivia on the other hand was thrown off the world by the sudden attitude of the young man. Like why the hell is he hugging her so tight? who the hell is he to her?.

At first, when he walked in and she locked gaze with him, she had seen the shocked look on his face and she couldn't help but wonder who he is.

She couldn't hold back anymore, cos he kept chocking her.

"Too.. Tight!!" She managed to say while tapping his back slightly but he didn't let her go, instead, his grip tightened around her.

"Can't Breath!!" She said and and this time, he let go of her but not completely because he began to rain kisses all over her face.

Olivia felt sickened by what Joel was doing to her. To her, it felt annoyingly irritating to see a strange man kissing her like they share some kind of intimate bond or something. As much as she tried to push him away, she couldn't.

Everything seemed strange to her. Including the man holding her right now. She just doesn't seem to remember anything or how she ended up in an hospital bed. She has tried everything she could to remember what happened and how she ended up here but everything seemed blank. It seemed like a part of her is still asleep.

Finally, Joel stopped kissing her and Olivia felt really relieved. He stared lovingly into her eyes like she's that treasure he doesn't want to loose.

"Finally! You're awake. You have no idea how long I've waited for this day to come. You have no idea how long I've waited just to stare into this beautiful eyes of yours" He said and pecked her on the cheek.

Olivia cocked her head backwards and ached her eyebrows at Joel. She still doesn't have any slightest who he is. She just kept staring at him like he's a ghost.

"My heartbeat! What is it? Why are you staring at me in that manner? Aren't you happy to see me?" Joel asked, noticing the way she looked at him.

"My heartbe.."

"Who are you?" Olivia voiced out the question that has been bugging her.

Joel frowned at her question. He least expected her to ask him who he is! Has he changed over the past three years that she couldn't recognize who he is!.

"My heartbeat, what are you saying?" He asked but got no response from Olivia.

He snapped his head angrily at the doctor who flinched back a bit because of how Joel was murderously glaring at him.

"Mr Osteen, I..." The doctor didn't finish his statement when Joel took hasty steps towards him.

He was only trying to contain his anger and not lash out at the doctor because he knew Olivia would be staring at him now and he wouldn't want to do anything that would make her scared.

"What the heck is happening? Why can't she remember who I am?" Joel gritted out while balling his fists.

"I'm... I'm sorry, Mr Osteen! The thing is, we found out she has amnesia and that's why she couldn't remember anything from her past! And I'm not sure she'll ever recall anything from her past"

Joel frown deepened while he kept clenching and unclenching his fists. The thought of her having amnesia irks him go the core!.

He turned groaned inwardly and brushed his hands through his hair, feeling really frustrated. He glanced at Olivia for a while before turning back to the doctor.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" He asked in a whisper. He doesn't want Olivia to hear a thing.

"I'm sorry, Mr Osteen! I just found out now cos of the tests I ran on her when she woke up. The accident must have damaged some essential part of her brain" The doctor said in a low tone.

"Apart from that, she's perfectly fine and can be discharged"

Joel groaned inwardly again. Tho he was happy that Olivia is out of coma but the fact that she has amnesia and wouldn't be able to remember him is what hurts him the most. He's going to be like a total stranger to her.

"Leave us! I want to be alone with my wife" He said and the doctor left without any delay.

Olivia just sat quietly, watching Joel and the doctor speak. Of all the things they were saying, she could only grab a few statement the doctor made.

She realized instantly that she has an amnesia and wouldn't be able to recall her past!. But one thing she doesn't understand is how she ended up in the hospital and what prompted her memory loss.

Since the strange man is the only one concerned about her, that only means that he's someone from her past. That also means he must know so much about her and definitely, how she got into this condition.

She locked gaze with Joel and the deep frown on his face vanished and got replaced by a sweet smile. He walked towards her and sat beside her. He reached for her hands but she was fast enough to withdraw it.

Joel sighed deeply but maintained his smile.

"My heartbeat, How are you feeling? Do you feel any pains? migraines? Tell me!" He asked.

Instead of giving him a reply, she asked him a question.

"You call me My heartbeat and you're here with me! I don't seem to remember who you are or who I am or how the heck I got here! You know who I am, don't you? You must know everything about me, right? And if you don't mind, can you tell me who you are?"

Joel adjusted properly on his seat. He reached for her hands again and this time, she let him touch her. He kissed the back of her hands and looked into her eyes which held so much curiosity and answers to her questions.

"My heartbeat, you know you just got out of coma and you shouldn't be stressing yourself. The doctor said you're fine but you only have an amnesia and that's why you don't remember who you are..." He paused and cleared his throat then continued. ".. You're Olivia, Olivia Richard Osteen and you are my wife. That's all you should know"

Olivia's lips fell open as he referred to her as his wife. Like, she,, his wife? How is that even possible? How on Earth did it happen?

"I'm.. I'm your wife? We're married?" She asked. "But I can't remember a thing"

Joel nodded and cupped her cheeks. "Right! You won't be able to recall anything. You have to believe everything I tell you. You're my wife, we're married and that's it".

"But I..."

"Ssh!!" Joel hushed her and placed his index finger on her lips, shutting her up.

"It's bad for you to get all worked up. You shouldn't be worried, there's nothing to be scared of. All you need to do is relax and get enough rest because soon, we'll be going back home. Our home!!".

"It has been void of your presence ever since and awaits your arrival. I can't wait to have you back home, My heartbeat" He said and kissed her forehead, then made her get lay properly on the bed.

"Get some rest!" He said to her.

Olivia looked really confused. What exactly is going on? She is completely clueless. Last minute, she woke up in a hospital, this minute, she's the wife of this young man here and then next minute, what? She has no idea what she'll get to find out the next minute.

Gosh! She really has a lot of questions that needs answers! But first, she needs to digest the fact that she's somebody's wife!

How hilarious!
