Adolphus’s P.O.V. (Continued)

“I noticed that. It felt weird at first, but with their continuous attacks, I didn’t dwell on it, but I was trying to stop them from approaching you, Adolphus, after we left The Light Shadow Pack. None of them approached Prince Sylvester’s car again until we reached here,” Nathan said to us with a serious expression on his face.

I didn’t know how to react to this because this was completely strange to me, even when I was just listening to them.

We all stopped talking when we felt Maddie’s presence. She stopped at the entrance of the living room and looked at us questioningly.

“Maddie. Come here,” Prince Sylvester called her excitedly but in a weak voice.

She walked inside the living room but went to Nathan.

She sat down on the armrest of the single couch on which Nathan was sitting right now.

“At first, I want to apologize for what Nickel did to you,” he said to Maddie apologetically. I grimaced but kept my expression calm.
