Liena’s POV

I thought Kael would question me the second he saw my phone.

I expected him to ask why the Supreme Alpha was calling me again. I thought his eyes would narrow when he noticed the little heart beside the Supreme Alpha’s name. I even prepared myself for another argument. My wolf stayed alert inside me, waiting for the tension to rise.

But it never did. Kael didn’t react at all.

He looked at the phone for only a brief second before his attention returned to me. It was almost as if

  • My Second Chance Mate Is My Ex Alpha’s Nemesis    Chapter 50

Liena’s POV The appointment was finally fixed a few days later, and the three of us arrived at the hospital early that morning. The large building was already busy with doctors, nurses, and patients moving through the hallways. Hospitals had never been places I liked, no matter how many times I had visited one. I walked quietly beside Kael while Helena stayed on his other side. None of us spoke much during the drive or after entering the hospital. Kael’s expression remained as calm and unreadable as ever. Not long after we checked in, one of the doctors asked Helena to come in first for another examination. It was supposed to be a routine follow-up after the miscarriage she had suffered several days earlier. The doctor wanted to make sure her body was healing properly before allowing her to return to her normal routine. Kael looked toward her briefly before giving a single nod. Helena offered him a faint smile and followed the nurse down the hallway. I remained seated beside

  • My Second Chance Mate Is My Ex Alpha’s Nemesis    Chapter 49

Kael’s POV I woke the next morning feeling much better than I had the day before. The pain from the accident had not disappeared, but it had become dull enough that I could sit up without struggling. My ribs still ached beneath the clean bandages wrapped tightly around them, reminding me that my body had not fully recovered. My werewolf healing had worked through the night, steadily repairing the damage, but serious injuries always took longer to mend. Even as Alpha, my wolf could not erase every wound in a single night due to the silver iron that went into my skin during the accident. I drew in a slow breath and rolled my shoulders carefully before swinging my legs over the side of the bed. My throat still felt dry. I wanted something to feel better. The tea Liena always make for me when I’m sick. That was only one thing I wanted before starting the day. Whenever I became sick or returned home injured, Liena always prepared a special herbal tea for me. It was something she had

Kael POV While I waited her response, I remained sat at the long dining table in the mansion, as sadness weighed on me. My injuries from the accident still throbbed under the bandages wrapped around my ribs. Even though my werewolf healing worked fast, serious wounds like these left my body feeling cold and weak. She wasn’t giving me the reply I needed as my wolf began to pace restlessly inside me, sensing the distance between me and my mate. I had opened up to Liena just moments ago. I told her I was sorry for drinking too much and crashing the car. I said I did not like Helena taking care of me the way a wife should. I wanted Liena by my side. I expected her to soften after seeing me in this condition. Maybe she would apologize for being so cold or at least show some care for her Alpha and mate. But she did not. Instead, Liena looked at me with those steady eyes and said she wasn’t in the mood for any conversation. She added that I still had not recovered fully anyway and I

Liena’s POV Later on, there was another soft knock on my bedroom door. “Come in,” I said without looking away from my computer screen. The door opened, and a maid stepped inside. “My Luna,” she greeted politely as I looked up from my drawing tablet. “The meal is ready downstairs,” she said with a small smile. “I came to let you know.” I glanced at the time on the corner of my screen. I had been working much longer than I realized. “I’ll be down in a minute.” I say and she nodded respectfully. “Very well, my Luna.” She quietly left the room, closing the door behind her. I saved my latest sketch before shutting down my computer. My shoulders felt stiff after sitting in the same chair for hours. I stretched my arms, then stood and walked out of the bedroom. The hallway was peaceful. As I made my way toward the stairs, something immediately felt strange. The house was unusually warm. Normally, the air conditioning stayed on throughout the mansion. The cool air made the house c

Liena’s POV I didn’t pick up the call. I stared at my phone for a few seconds as it continued to ring, then the screen went dark. I placed it face down on my desk and leaned back in my chair. Whatever it was could wait. I spent the rest of the morning going through reports, signing documents, and reviewing the notes from the meeting. There were several sketches waiting for my approval, along with material samples for the large painting order. I focused on work until the afternoon. When I finally returned home, the house was unusually quiet as my eyes immediately found him. Kael lay asleep on the bed, one arm resting above the blanket. His breathing was slow and even. Although the bandages beneath his shirt were still visible, I knew his wounds were already closing. A werewolf Alpha’s healing was much stronger than that of an ordinary wolf. By the next full moon, the broken rib and deep cuts would most likely be gone finally. Then my gaze shifted to the chair beside him. Helena

Liena POV The next day, Alpha Kael was discharged from the hospital. Ken helped him slowly into the sitting room of our house. Kael moved with his usual steady steps, but I could see the bandages under his shirt. I see his injuries were minor. For a werewolf alpha like him, with our kind’s fast healing, it was nothing serious, just some deep cuts, bruises, and a slightly broken rib that would mend in a matter of days under the full moon’s pull. Still, he needed rest. I had already woken up early that morning. After a quick shower, I stood in front of the mirror and got dressed for the day. I chose a simple white blouse and dark pants that looked professional. My hair was tied back in a neat ponytail, and I slipped on comfortable shoes. I felt ready to face the day. As I picked up my bag and headed toward the front door, Kael’s voice cut through the quiet room. His tone was flat, completely emotionless. “Where are you going?” I paused and turned to look at him. He sat on the la

Kael POV The door to Helena’s bedroom clicked shut behind us as I tightened my hold on her while she still wrapped her legs around my waist. Her arms slipped around my neck, and before I could say a word, her lips found mine again. The kiss was warm, familiar, and full of the longing that always

Liena’s POV When I opened my eyes again, the first thing I saw was a white ceiling and walls above me. For several seconds, I simply stared at it without moving. Everything felt strange.
