Overcoming Chapter Fourteen

Only two weeks remain before I take Emberly to her new residence, which will essentially be taking Emberly away from me for close to five months. The reality of our situation is slowly beginning to kick in. With Emberly running Cross Country and me having football games on Saturday evenings, we won't be able to see each other much at all. Sunday will be our only time together, and most of that day, we will be with mom and dad. What happens when I have away games? I don't want to think about it, but it has been a constant thought for two weeks.

Emberly and I have managed to go out on a few dates. Our fears of mom and dad finding out never came to pass. Our relationship is still safe and a secret for now.
