Overcoming Chapter Seventeen

Dad and I are seated on the couch watching a survivor series I thought dad would like. Once he settled, something within me pulled me toward our bedroom. It seemed to be taking Emberly forever to prepare to leave, and I needed to hurry her along. Emberly doesn't want to go, but she has to. I stopped outside the door when I heard mom trying to calm Emberly down, who was sobbing uncontrollably. Then it happened. Emberly blurted out everything about what had happened to us over the last couple of years. Emberly even told her about almost getting strangled to death when she attempted her first blow job.
