“Oh.” She gaped at me as if she couldn’t make her mind whether I was Angeline or not.

As Stella’s eyes locked with mine and we gape at each other, Aaron clicked his tongue and chuckled.

“No, Stella. That’s Ava. She doesn’t even resemble Angeline. Those pups.” Turning his head to look at me, he dismissed Stella with a motion of his hand as if she were a stray dog. That son of a flea-infested chihuahua!

I hope she doesn’t have to sleep with him. I also wonder about Julia’s true intentions. I’d like to think she’s pretending to protect Stella but I’m not sure yet
