Akira woke up grinning from ear to ear. She stretched while humming, and that scared the hell out of the maids who were cleaning her room. Today is another day for Akira, and finally, she decided to live up to her nickname. ‘The villain successor’ The maid hurried their cleaning; they did not want to be in the same cold room with Akira. As soon as Akira got up from her bed, her maid left her room immediately but even before everyone could get out, she called one of the maids. “M-miss---” “Prepare my breakfast and let my bodyguard deliver it to me. You have ten minutes.” Akira interrupted the stuttering maid. And without losing more time, the maid hurriedly left. While waiting, she brushes her long black hair. She glances at the clock from time to time while humming. Until… The door finally opened at exactly ten minutes. Akira's brow arched for a moment because she was expecting her breakfast to be late since she gave them a little time to prepare it. And there it was, Leon en
Akira held her breath while locking her eyes on Leon's. There was a hint of shock in her golden eyes. Why did he grab her hands? She couldn't understand his actions at all when she was doing so for him. “You want my blood right? I'm giving it to you.” Akira gave a nonchalant reply. It was enough to make Leon's brow arch. He was still holding her hand. The blood was dripping on the ground, it smelled so sweet, more than enough to entice Leon. He clenched his jaw fighting back the urge...to taste her. Akira noticed his urge to taste her blood, she could feel it through the slowly tightening grip on her hand. And although she was sick at the sight of him—a vampire, she leaned closer to him. “Stop wasting my blood, vamp. I don't have fucking unlimited blood.” Akira argued and removed his hands from her hand. Her brows slightly arched when the pain started to kick in but she didn't mind it. Her goal was to end this quickly. Akira moves closer to Leon who is staring at her, his clea
[Author’s note: This chapter is about the dream of Akira.] Akira hurriedly took her bag and came out of her room. Her black short hair waved as she descended the stairs and ran like a squirrel toward the dining table. Her golden eyes were vividly clear with happiness as soon as she saw her family. When she sat at the table, her mother smiled at her cuteness as she ate the bread and drank the milk hurriedly. Alina Lesle Clemente, Akira’s mother. She possesses light golden eyes and black curvy hair. She came from the clan of Rihiko. “Akira, my dear. Eat slowly.” A soft voice reprimanded her. Ephraim Rein Clemente, Akira’s father, possessed golden eyes just like her and golden smooth hair. He has a radiant smile as he looks at Akira who was 17 years old at that time. He is also the current clan leader of the Clemente clan. Akira pouted while eating, “I am super late, Mom, and Dad. I told sister Rue to wake me up but she didn’t! ” Rue Esthel Clemente, her older sister. She possesse
Akira woke up with tears streaming down her cheeks. She was about to wipe it when someone’s warm fingertips did it for her. And that’s when she rose from the bed only to find the familiar face that she least expected to see. A pair of clear and deep blue eyes stared at her, and his long hair was tied back neatly again. Her brows arched, and uneasiness and anger were visible on her face. She remembered all of what had happened between them. “Why are you still here?” Akira's coldness was much worse. How could she be okay? She just dreams of the nightmare she's been escaping for years and he's a vampire he detests. Leon stares at her and breathes in before he answers, “I was about to leave when I noticed you were crying. Did you...perhaps have a bad dream?” Akira tightens the grip of the bed sheets covering her as she avoids that curious yet affectionate gaze of Leon, “Such nonsense. Just...get out, will you? My neck still hurts because of you.” Leon flinched as he gazed at Akira
Evening came, and so the awaited moment of Akira to use one chance out of her three chances to kill Leon. Her preparation can be seen in her training clothes, just like what she wore when they had to spar together. Akira has the determination not to lose. Akira exited her room and found Leon leaning at the staircase with crossed arms. Looking at such a distance, Akira realized Leon’s expression was cold, unlike when they were together. Akira, who suddenly became anxious, bit her lower lip. ‘This is making me a bit nervous,’ She thought. And after a while, realizing what she had thought, she immediately shook her head to toss aside that ridiculous thought. ‘I am nervous? No way…’ She denied her thoughts. Leon noticed her presence— from the cold expression, especially of those clear blue eyes, to the warm and excited gaze the moment he turned his head at her. Anyone could see how drastic the changes were. He immediately got beside her. Leon wore brown cargo pants, combat shoes,
Akira once again woke up in her room. The memories of what had happened during the time she intended to kill Leon came rushing in on her mind as if embarrassing her first in the morning. She had to cover herself with a pillow to let out her internal screaming. She could not believe she had lost, and one of her three chances was gone. There were only two chances left. Akira irritatedly sat, her black hair quite messy, “That vamp...” She whispered and recalled what Leon did then: "...he sure doesn’t want to die. How dare he use jiu-jitsu that time.” Akira let out a deep sigh as she caressed her neck. ‘I should’ve used a weapon...that dagger.’ Akira thought with a grim expression on her face. She’s regretting now that she didn’t use weapons. Although it hurts her pride, she can’t deny it because Leon’s strength and ability clearly surpass the strength of a human—and maybe, Leon’s strength is much more than his race since he is the vampire crown prince. And one more bothered Akira, wh
It has been an hour since they left the mansion. Leon, who was facing front, took a glance at Akira who had been silent. He found her sleeping while there were reports in her hand. Leon slowed the car and breathed in while staring at her. Surely, Akira let her guard down around him or maybe she was too tired, especially after their fight. Leon then stopped the car. He unbuckled his seatbelt and got near Akira who he noticed was uncomfortable in her position. Leon removed the reports that Akira was carrying and placed them somewhere. After that, he placed his hands on her head and slowly, brought her to a more comfortable position. Leon’s attention was caught by the gun, placed near Akira’s side. He stared at it for a while and when he broke that gaze, he felt the tension coming from Akira. “What the hell are you doing?” Akira said while glaring at Leon who was in front of her. Leon immediately turned his gaze which caught Akira off guard. Seeing his face up close was enough to ma
The rain eventually poured as if telling Akira that she didn't have much of a choice but to let Leon carry her. Akira and Leon stare at each other under the pouring rain. It was then that Leon offered his hand—reaching for hers. “Will you let me carry you now?” Leon said as a warm smile flashed in his mouth. Akira avoided his gaze but eventually gave in. She reaches out her hand to him and then slowly, Leon walks in front of her. The heartbeat that Akira had heard was vivid once again—but this time, she knew that it was hers. Leon carried her—it was a bridal-style carry. Akira was, of course, awkward in that position. The closeness with him was enough to trouble her mind and there followed the thoughts that she couldn't even think of back then. “You should hold on well, Akira. At this rate, I'm afraid you'll fall.” Leon remarked when Akira was not holding onto him. Akira immediately thought of that time when they were escaping and fighting the vampires. The speed of that time wa
