“มาช้าว่ะ เป็นเจ้าของผับยังไงให้ลูกค้ารอ”ปราบพูดแซะโฮปที่เป็นทั้งเพื่อนสนิทและเป็นเจ้าของผับแห่งนี้
“มึงมาเร็วเองค้าบบเพื่อน”
"พวกกูพึ่งมาถึงก่อนมึงไม่กี่นาทีเอง รถติดแบบฉิบหายวายวอดมาก" คิงบ่นออกมา นอกจากปราบก็ยังมีคิงนี้แหละที่เป็นเพื่อนสนิทอีกคน เรารู้จักกันมาตั้งแต่เรียนมหาลัย
การที่เขาได้คบกับมีนก็เริ่มมาจากการที่ปราบกับโซนเป็นแฟนกันและคิงกับฟาร์ก็เป็นแฟนกัน บังเอิญเขาก็โสดมีนก็โสดตอนนั้น พวกมันเลยยุยงส่งเสริมจนผีผลักให้เขากับมีนได้คบกัน (เขาควรขอบคุณพวกมันสินะที่ได้คนดีๆแบบมีนมาเป็นแฟน)
"รถติดจริง นี่เฮียปราบก็ขับไปบ่นไปบอกกลัวจะเลยเวลาแจกมิกเซอร์ฟรี"
"เฮียอีกแล้ว ความจริงที่เฮียรีบเพราะโซนนั่นแหละ" ปราบหันไปโทษแฟนของตัวเองแทน พลางเบ้ปากที่โดนกล่าวหา
"อ้าว!! ก็เป็นคนบอกเองว่าอยากมาก่อนสี่ทุ่มทำไมมาโบ้ยให้กัน เดี๋ยวกูทุบ"โซนยกกำปั้นขึ้นมาพร้อมมองตาแข็งใส่อีกฝ่าย
"ยอมครับยอม ใครจะกล้าเก่งกับเมีย"ถ้าเป็นเมื่อก่อนคงด่ากลับ ตั้งแต่เขากลับมาคบกันอีกครั้งโซนชี้ให้เป็นอะไรเขาเป็นหมด จากที่พูดกูมึงเดี๋ยวนี้จ๊ะจ๋าแทบทุกคำ
"ไปนั่งไกลๆ เลยไป"โซนผลักไหล่อีกฝ่ายให้ออกห่าง
"ไม่เอาอยากนั่งใกล้เมีย"ปราบขยับเข้าใกล้กว่าเดิมทำสีหน้าลูกหมาทันทีที่โดนไล่ เขาเอาหัวซบกับไหล่แฟนพร้อมออดอ้อน
"เจอกันทุกวันอย่ามาเวอร์"โซนประชด ถึงอย่างนั้นเขาก็กระตุกยิ้มมุมปากพร้อมยกมือขยี้เส้นผมคนพี่
"ทั้งสองคนพอเลยจะอ้วก" คิงรีบห้ามเอาไว้เพราะรำคาญในความคลั่งรักของเพื่อนตัวเองเต็มที..ให้พื้นที่คนอื่นบ้างใช้ไม่ได้เลยสองคนนี้
"มึงก็ไม่ต่างจากกูหรอกไอ้คิง"ปราบถมถุยมองคิงด้วยสายตากดต่ำ
"ก็แฟนกูน่ารักไม่ให้กูคลั่งรักแฟนแล้วให้กูคลั่งรักใคร จริงไหมครับฟาร์"ประโยคแรกพูดกับปราบก่อนจะหันมาพูดกับคนตาสวยด้วยน้ำเสียงหวานเจี๊ยบ
"ที่พูดมาก็ถูกแหละ ยอมให้หนึ่งวันแล้วกัน"
ไม่นานเครื่องดื่มที่สั่งเอาไว้ก็นำมาเสิร์ฟจนเต็มโต๊ะ เรียกว่าไม่เสียชื่อเจ้าของผับที่มาดูแลด้วยตัวเอง โชคดีจริงๆ ที่มีเพื่อนเป็นเจ้าของผับ..ได้กินเหล้าฟรีแทบจะทุกครั้ง
"วันนี้ทุกคนต้องเต็มที่นะ วันเกิดมีแค่ปีละครั้งไม่เมาห้ามกลับ มาชน!!"โฮปยกแก้มไปทางปราบเจ้าของวันเกิดก่อนที่ทุกคนจะยกแก้วออกมาชนพร้อมเพรียงกัน
"ชน!!!!!!!!!"
หลังจากที่ดื่มกันไปสักพักเจ้าของวันเกิดก็เป่าเค้กไปแล้วทุกคนก็พูดคุยหยอกล้อกันไป โฮปที่เห็นแฟนนั่งเงียบๆ มีนแค่ยิ้มออกมาขณะที่เพื่อนพูดแค่นั้น (ดูท่าจะเหนื่อย)
"อยู่ดึกได้ไหม พรุ่งนี้เข้าร้านหรือเปล่า"โฮปกระซิบข้างหูคนรัก มีนหันมามองอีกฝ่ายก่อนจะส่งยิ้มหวานพร้อมส่ายหัวน้อยๆ เป็นเชิงปฏิเสธ
"ไม่เป็นไรหรอกครับ ผมบอกผู้จัดการร้านไว้แล้วเพราะดูท่าเราก็คงจะดึกกันมาก"เขาสั่งงานที่ร้านไว้แล้วเพราะคาดว่าคงจะเป็นแบบนี้
โฮปเอี้ยวหน้าเข้าไปใกล้คนรักก่อนจะพูดด้วยน้ำเสียงและแววตากรุ้มกริ่ม "แปลว่าคืนนี้...."
"อดครับ"มีนรู้ทันคนอายุมากกว่า เอาไม่เว้นวันไม่รู้ไปเอาแรงมาจากไหนไม่เหนื่อยบ้างหรือไง เขาพ่นลมหายใจใส่คนมากตัณหา
"ใจร้ายจัง"โฮปแสร้งสะอื้น เมื่อเห็นมีนไม่สนใจ เขาจึงกลืนก้อนสะอื้นปลอมๆลง มือปลาหมึกสอดเข้าไปข้างหลังก่อนจะกอดเอวอีกฝ่ายแน่น
"เฮียจะทำอะไรเหรอครับ"ชายหนุ่มหันหน้ามาถามคนรักที่สัมผัสเอวเขาไปมา
"อยากทำมีน"
“เฮียไม่อายเพื่อนหรือไงพูดมาได้” มีนตีไปที่แขนแกร่งของอีกฝ่ายหนึ่งทีข้อหาพูดอะไรไม่ระวังตลอดเลย...แจ้งหน่วยงานไหนได้บ้าง
“พวกมันไม่ได้ยินหรอกครับ” โฮปไม่สนใจคำเตือนวางคางไว้บนไหล่คนรักพลางอมยิ้มน้อยๆเมื่อเห็นแก้มขาวเริ่มเปลี่ยนสี
“ไม่พูดกับเฮียแล้ว ไปเข้าห้องน้ำดีกว่า” มีนสลัดตัวออกจากคนหื่นกาม
“ซิ่งหนีเฮียอีก คืนนี้คิดว่าจะรอดเหรอ” ไม่มีทางหรอก “ให้เฮียไปเป็นเพื่อนไหม”
“ไม่เป็นไรครับ เฮียดื่มกับเพื่อนไปเถอะ ผมไปแป๊บเดียว”
“ห่างหน่อยไม่เป็นไรมั้ง ใจคอจะไม่ให้น้องมันไปไหนเลยหรือไง” คิงพูดแซวเมื่อเห็นเพื่อนตัวเองออดอ้อนแฟน ทั้งๆ ที่มือข้างหนึ่งก็จับมือภรรยาตัวเองไม่ยอมปล่อย โฮปมองคนที่มีหน้ามาแซวเขาทั้งๆ ที่ตัวเองก็โคตรติดเมีย
“มึงหุบปากไปเลยคิง”
มีนเดินออกจากห้อง VIP ไป ปล่อยให้แฟนนั่งทะเลาะกับเพื่อนอยู่แบบนั้น เขาเริ่มจะชินแล้ว ส่วนโฮปที่ปล่อยให้แฟนไปเข้าห้องน้ำคนเดียวเวลาผ่านไปเกือบ 20 นาทีก็ไม่เห็นกลับมา (ไม่น่าจะนานขนาดนั้น) เขามองประตูแล้วมองอีกก็ไม่มีทีท่าว่าจะเปิดออกเริ่มรู้สึกเป็นห่วงแล้ว
"ขอทางหน่อยได้ไหมครับ" มีนพูดขึ้นอย่างสุภาพหลังจากที่เดินออกมาจากห้องน้ำและกำลังจะกลับไปที่ห้องวีไอพีที่ชั้นสอง
"ขอโทษครับ พอดีคนมันเยอะ"จะหลบหลีกก็ลำบากอีกฝ่ายพูดเสียงเกรงใจแต่พอเห็นใบหน้ามีนชัดๆ ผู้ชายคนนั้นก็นิ่งไปมองดวงหน้าที่ตรงสเปคอย่างตะลึง
"ครับ"มีนพยักหน้าตอบรับน้อยๆ เพราะคนเยอะจริงอย่างที่อีกฝ่ายว่า มีคนมากมายที่ออกมายืนตรงโถงทางเดินใกล้ห้องน้ำเพราะข้างในเองก็มีคนเยอะ
"มาคนเดียวเหรอครับ"คนแปลกหน้าชวนมีนคุยขณะที่ยืนหลบคนอยู่
"เปล่าครับ"
"นั่งตรงไหนเหรอครับ ให้ผมเดินไปส่งไหม"ความกระตือรือร้นในดวงตาของชายหนุ่มทำเอามีนเริ่มจับสัญญาณบางอย่างได้ เขาพูดกับอีกฝ่ายอย่างถนอมน้ำใจ
"ไปเป็นไรครับ ผมนั่งอยู่ชั้นสองเดี๋ยวเดินไปเองดีกว่าเกรงใจ"เมื่อเห็นคนเริ่มจะซาจนมีช่องให้เดินออกไป มีนเองก็หันมายิ้มบอกลาสั้นๆ เตรียมเดินกลับไป
"ไม่เห็นต้องเกรงใจเลยครับ" ชายแปลกหน้าคว้าแขนของมีนเอาไว้ น้อยครั้งที่ตนจะเจอคนที่ถูกใจแต่แรกเห็นแบบนี้ ถ้าปล่อยออกไปง่ายๆ ก็ไม่รู้จะได้เจออีกไหม
"ขอโทษนะครับรบกวนช่วยเอามือออกไปด้วยพอดีผมมากับแฟน"มีนจับมือที่คว้าแขนเขาไว้แน่นขณะที่เริ่มกัดฟันพยายามเอ่ยกับอีกคนอย่างใจเย็น
"อ้าว มีแฟนแล้วเหรอครับ"
"ใช่ครับ แล้วบังเอิญว่าแฟนผมก็เป็นเจ้าของที่นี่ด้วย ถ้าไม่อยากมีปัญหาผมว่าคุณปล่อยมือดีกว่านะครับ"มีนพูดเตือนแต่ไม่รู้ว่าการพูดของเขามันดูไม่จริงจังหรือยังไงไม่ทราบแทนที่อีกฝ่ายจะถอยตัวออกไปกับขยับเข้ามาใกล้เขามากขึ้น
"แต่ถ้าเราแอบๆ คุยกันแฟนคุณก็คงไม่รู้มั้งครับ" ผู้ชายคนนั้นก้มลงกระซิบข้างหูก่อนที่จะถูกใครบางคนกระชากออกอย่างแรง!
"ทำอะไร!!"เสียงตะโกนดังไปทั่วทางเดิน เสียงของใครบางคนที่มีนคุ้นหูเป็นอย่างดี
