We heading down to my father’s for the night, the entire time I felt sick to my stomach, I just wanted to talk to Steve and make sure he was okay. I woke up with a big smile, knowing today was the day I could see him. I got up with Jeremy and put him back to sleep while I took a shower and began to get myself ready. I looked outside the truck was gone, my dad must have already left early. I picked out my best outfit and curled my hair. My first instinct was to turn around and leave, I knew Darren was here just a few hours ago. As I walked out of the steel door I immediately spotted my dad and Jeremy, my dad was eyeing me curiously. I signed out and asked the lady if I can put money in Steve’s canteen. “You can dear, but that man, your father I believe he said he was, he put some in there while you were in your visit.”I smiled at her and my father as we headed out, I just wanted to get out of this city as fast as possible. “Okay Kay, are you ready?” “More then I’ve ever been, I left a letter to be mailed out on the seat.” He looked over and smiled. I grabbed Jeremy and we both sat in the trailer, just wrapped him up in a big blanket and put a blanket over our heads to try and keep him warm. We drove for only about 10 minutes and we were at the cabin when I felt the snow machine come to a complete stop. I peaked out and saw a small light on the porch , I could tell it was a log cabin, I grabbed Jeremy and his car seat and rushed inside since it was really cold tonight. I walked into the little cabin and from the inside I could tell it was completely log all around it had a small living room with a couch and chair and a large fireplace in front of the couch, it had a small TV in the corner. I showed my father my phone, I didn’t tell anyone my secret besides Darren and Steve knew, so I just clicked on the picture and what was written. We spent the next few days, shoveling a ton of snow so we could get out, we decorated the tree, made some cookies and wrapped presents. I’ve cleaned every inch of this cabin, we even tried to do some ice fishing but didn’t get anything. The days were relaxing but they were a bit long and I was feeling lonely, I would make it up the hill daily to check my messages and send my father a text. Once we got back to the cabin I made us some lunch, I ate in a hurry since I wanted to go read my letters, I was so excited to see he wrote me 3 letters. In only a few days I’ll be able to go see him and give him a hug, I couldn’t wait. Once I was done eating I grabbed my letters and made myself a hot chocolate, I brought chair outside and sat down and began to tear them open.I looked at the dates to make sure I started with the right one,‘Hey beautiful, thank you for coming to visit me.
