chapter 1 Fatal Tragedy

it was a beautiful day with a clear sky above in the Brooke lawn it was the 16th day of march which is Mrs Tasha Adams birthday and also her best friend's daughter birthday. Tasha and her friend Lola Brooke decided to celebrate this year birthday in the Brooke's house.

Tasha Adams and her best friend Lola Brooke are looking all prim and proper in there matching head to toe outfits. Tasha and Lola were full of smiles as usual welcoming their respective invited guest while there husband's were playing chess in the family room because Tasha's husband, Benjamin Adams is a reserved man or rather an introvert he only had one friend which is Mr Jasper Brooke.

Niyola Adams, Tasha's 3 years old daughter was playing with her personal nanny, Franca on the inflatable bouncing Castle.

Franca! please bring niyola and call Desmond tell him it is time to cut the cake.Tasha said

after the cutting of the birthday cake the both families pose for a session of photoshoot, then Niyola, Daniella and Desmond also took the dance floor. everyone brought out there camcorder to record them, especially 2 years old Niyola with her funny dance steps.

the rest of the day went by slowly but fun. all there invited guest had returned to their home.

it was 7:30 pm already, the Adams family set to take there leave. jasper and Benjamin were lightly drunk. since Benjamin doesn't fancy the service of domestic worker except for Franca who has been Niyola's Nanny from birth.

Benjamin, you're drunk and Tasha can not drive at night due to her night blindness, I advise that you guys should sleep over tonight and you will go home tomorrow morning. Lola said while her husband who was now miserably drunk just shake his like a lizard.

No No No, you know I love my space I will not be comfortable sleeping over, moreover I have a flight to catch by 5:00am tomorrow morning". Benjamin said waving his index finger.

Benjamin and Tasha started out of the Brooke's premises. Benjamin took the driver's seat while his wife sat at the passenger seat and niyola and Franca seat at the back seat.

they have been driving for over 20 minutes, Benjamin couldn't see clearly due to his drunken state, Tasha could only see vaguely. when suddenly they rammed into a parked long heavy duty truck. Benjamin died on the spot, His wife Tasha was still fighting for her life, Franca right hand was severely damage and she was losing so much blood. luckily the paramedics on patrol came 5 mins after the fatal tragedy.

they quickly pulled Tasha out of the debris put the oxygen mask on her, then they move to the back seat to save Franca and Niyola but surprisingly Niyola didn't even suffer a scratch except for blood gushing out from Franca's. because she was still clutching Niyola to herself, still protecting her even in the eyes of death. from the moment Tasha was wheel on the stretcher she held tight on her handbag which contains some cash, bank cards, her camcoder and other things.

Lola was still massaging her feet, when the TV reporter report the incident live and identify the victims of the accident as her beloved friend and family. she felt like her heart had already burst out of her chest.

Jesus Christ!!! No this is not happening!!... someone wake me up from this nightmare! Christ help them. hold on guys I am coming right away Lola kept yelling at the top of her voice to no one in particular.

someone get the car ready! she kept yelling.

Mum I saw the News just now are the Adam really dead? Desmond asked his mother . But Lola could not get hold of her self. she just rushed out of the house in her house coat and bedroom slippers like a mad woman.

she arrived the state hospital about 35 minutes later after she got the news. she held out Tasha's picture from her wallet and ask the nurses around about the ward they were taken to. a young nurse stop by and took her to the emergency ward where Tasha was lying half dead.

Lola could not hold back anymore she quickly put on the surgical gown and rush to the bedside.

Lola_ Lola_, Tasha called her faintly calling for her attention. I can't make it out of here alive . get my camcorder and record whatever I have to say. and take it to my lawyer. Lola could not hold the camera firmly because she kept shaking but the doctor helped her record Tasha's last word and save the file.

Lola go and look for my daughter, make sure you raise her like your ow........n, Tasha gave up the ghost exactly 11:45 pm on her birthday which was 16th of march.

am sorry ma'am~ we lost her , the doctor informed her. and they began process to take the corpse to morgue.

Tasha!!! Lola cried bitterly for a while and took Tasha's bag with the camera from the ground, she was on her way to the other ward where Niyola and Franca was admitted, she was still grieving when an elderly nurse call her attention that the doctor need her attention urgently. she immediately followed the nurse to the doctor's office.

Hi Ma'am, I am doctor Edward. we have been trying to stop Franca's bleeding for the past 3hours but to on avail . so we need to inform you that the best option to save her life is to amputate her right hand.

then do it quickly, Lola snapped back at the doctor, wait a sec where is the kid? I Mean my friend's daughter that survived.

yes the kid miraculously survived you can see the nurse to direct you to the paediatric in- patient ward, the doctor said.

Lola found Niyola in the paediatric ward coiled up on the bed. she held her up in a tight hug and continue crying bitterly.

Aunty Lola where is my mummy and papa and Franca? Lola just hug because she still doesn't know how to explain to the little girl. they stay in that position for about half an hour before she pull out her phone from the house coat pocket, she founds about 45 missed call from her husband and some of their guest that had came for the party earlier.
