SELENA

"Thank you," I said in a low voice and entered the throne room with my head still bowed.

It wasn't right to look into the alpha's eyes according to the castle's rule.

I walked until I had gotten to the center of the room, and then, I knelt down.

"Good morning, Alphas. This lowly maid says her greetings." I said, lowering my head even more.

There was silence in the room.

It wasn't like I was expecting a response to begin with. They probably nodded their heads despite knowing I wouldn't see such movement.

But it didn't matter. I wasn't here to question their attitudes.

I raised my head to talk. "This maid is here this morning to..."

"Cut the crap and hand over the necklace if you've found it."

Alpha Severin's brutish voice cut me short.

My lips twitched, and a frown formed on my face. How annoying was this Alpha?

"The Alphas had agreed to give me two days ultimatum yesterday, and it isn't over yet." I pointed out.
