Embarrassed with a bruised little ego, and embarrassed again, that's how she felt. She couldn't even imagine what the tall guy must be thinking about her. Her cheeks heated for the tenth time.

The boy chuckled and drew closer to her. She let out a small gasp. The boy was more than beautiful, with dark blue eyes, black hair, and a chiseled face.

"Wait, these are strange thoughts," she thought and knitted her brows. "What strange thoughts?" The guy asked.

She would have palmed her face for saying that out loud, but her position wouldn't let her. She had been talking to her inner self since she discovered she didn't belong with lots of people save for her family of four with her included, and never had anything slip from her mouth before, so why now of all times?

She started to explain or make an excuse, but she stuttered hopelessly and couldn't say a complete word. "What useless mouth," she thought to herself again.

The pretty boy barked out in laughter and closed the remaining distance between his knees and the floor.

Jade was confused. Was he getting sick or something? Oh no, she hoped not. If the boy fell ill right now, who would help her with the mess she created while trying to hide?

Finally, he stopped laughing and lent her a hand. "Here, take my hand. Let me help you up".

"Finally." Jade huffed under her breath as if she could get embarrassed any further.

She reached out her shaky hand but was having trouble finding his hand. Her poor vision was getting blurry out of embarrassment and without her glasses.

With a chuckle, he enclosed her hand in his. Warmth sped through her immediately at the contact. His grip was gentle but firm, and it made her blush harder if it were possible.

He made a soft tug, but nothing happened. He tugged the hand again, and still no results.

She whimpered out of frustration. The guy seemed to think differently. "Are you hurt? Are you okay?" He bent down lower to look at her properly.

"Y-yes i-its j-just u-uncomfortable a-lot." She had difficulty breathing under the seats a broom didn't reach for probably a month. It had some dust underneath.

He frowned his brows and seemed to be losing his patience.

To her surprise, the boy slid his hands to her waist and held her firmly.

"H-hey what a-are-" he cut her short as he dragged her from under the seats, the force a little too much it caused him to land on his butt and her on his front. Jade let out a small yelp while the guy just groaned, maybe because his butt hurt.

Mother Earth must have finally decided she was tired of her and wanted to take her now. She had never been in such a compromising situation before, and she was beyond embarrassed.

She remained on top of him completely stunned. The stranger had the nerve to grin to her annoyance.

He brought up a hand "Hi?". For a complete five seconds, he just stared at his hand.

The realization hit her. Did someone just help her in school and even say hi? And worse, this beautiful guy? No, she shook her head she was imagining things.

He frowned a little. "No? Why?" He sighed. "it's okay if u don't want to...." He scratched his neck like he was nervous.

"I haven't s-said a-anything?" She asked him, and then he looked like a five-year-old hooked on their speech. She found it amusing and giggled, he was looking at her with lit-up eyes.

"Why are you laughing?" He asked sheepishly. He was curious. "Childish." She replied with another giggle.

"Oh.." he scratched his neck again. "It is a little flaw, you don't mind, do you?"

Jade's eyes widened. He just asked her if she minded that he had a flaw. Did he care about her opinion?

People never cared enough for her opinion before, except during class tests, and it felt strange.

Maybe she fell from her bed while sleeping during the night, and she would not hesitate to fall from her bed every other single night just for such flattering dreams.

Torn between dream and reality she could not help her curiosity she pinched him. He looked down at where her hands had touched the skin on his hands. He looked confused as though he didn't understand, until she pinched herself too.

She let out a yelp "Reality" she thought to herself, and for the millionth time, the guy bawled in laughter. "Wait, did you just pinch me?" She was riding on a train of embarrassment at this point. "I-i'm s-s-sorry." Jade stuttered.

"Don't worry about it, 'cause I didn't even feel a thing. I thought you just wanted to touch me you know? He wiggled his thick brows.

She didn't know whether to be mad at him for thinking she wanted to touch him or be mad at herself for being such a weird human being. Who pinched themselves because of a normal conversation, then a thought smacked her like a slap. This could all be a prank.

Jade tried to get up fast after realizing their sitting position only just then, but failed miserably, her feet felt wobbly, anyone would feel the same way after if they were in her shoes, or maybe not but for her, that was the case.

He grabbed her by the waist and settled her beside him. Heat rose inside her. Did it always happen when people touched each other's waists? She didn't know.

Then he stood to smooth to his shirt and lent her a hand. Jade stared at the hand like she had just seen a woman with three breasts, at this point, she must have looked stupid, but it was just too unusual for her.

She didn't want to be a victim of pranks again, but something about this prank seemed right to her as though she was meant to fall for that particular prank, and she let him take her hand.

He drew her up, her legs still wobbled, and held her arm in support. She waited for the outburst and laughter that would come after the prank had ended, the smuggled smirk on April's face, but nothing happened.

She jumped when the bell rang like it was supposed to mark an end to her dream, but the prank didn't happen.

"So... See u tomorrow?" The guy scratched his neck again. It was a habit of his that she soon noticed. When she stood still, she was still too stunned to reply. He gave her a pat on the head and headed for the door.

"Goodbye." She half whispered, but he didn't turn and kept moving till he was gone. Her feet gave up again, and she fell to the ground.

She could not stop herself from smiling. She had one normal moment with a person without being hurt, but her butt hurt thought, she was falling too much.

Then she realized she didn't even get to know his name so pretty boy it is.

Her heart rammed into its cage "Princess?" She turned around and jumped back. The voice was unfamiliar, and the face was more unfamiliar. She had never seen him before, who was he and why was he calling her princess not to mention he was standing way too close to her."Who are you?" She asked. The man was rough and his smile matched his appearance, he needed a toothbrush. What was he doing there? He didn't look like a worker on the estate and even if he was, he wouldn't be walking around by this time of the night and he didn't look like a server either all the servers had uniforms on. His beard needed a desperate cut, he looked like he'd had no shaving for weeks. His eyes looked reddish in general he looked dangerous in a very bad way. Ashton's lake house looked pretty expensive and it was huge. Spread over four acres and with wonderful water views, the estate had a lake house, a large pool, and a terrace with outdoor dining space. There are seven bedrooms, a cinema, and a games room and the property is only accessible through the lake. The house was simply luxurious with huge glass doors and walls. There were patio heaters around, some standing stainless steel heaters that ran on propane, lounge chairs arranged to the sides with blankets, another corner was decorated with booze and also a round wooden table with at least fifteen chairs stood at one corner with a chess board and some other games and a DJ crew had been invited and fresh towels lay on a table for people who would want to take a deep in the water.A party was the last place she wanted to be but her friends would have none of it. They disappeared one after another once they touched the ground. She sighed heavily and made her way through the little cr

Maybe it was the aftermath of his heart break? Maybe that was why he was being a little reckless here and there but she still knew it was her fault mostly or maybe entirely and every time she thought about him it still hurt. What was worse he wasn't even looking at her anymore even when they crossed parts. They'd entirely became strangers in a very short time and she had a reputation that she'd well earned. Xi had been more than a comfort through the breakup process, always bringing her flowers and being extra sweet and all but she didn't feel the same warmth in her stomach and she didn't feel the butterflies exploding at the sight of him or when he laughed, it wasn't the art she was used to and it didn't tug at her heart strings. How she'd manage to screw up things with someone who had done nothing but love her she couldn't explain. She had let herself get caught up in the socializing thing and being popular and being seen, he was right when he said she had changed but despite the r

  • NOT SORRY I WANT YOU BACK   44 About Last Night

She strolled to her mirror desk observed her face and peeled the half moon masks underneath her eyes, it did a nice job and she had no dark circles but she had a headache so she headed down to the kitchen. She slapped a few chests on the way until she got to the kitchen. It was empty but more cleaner than usual, she heard he'd been cleaning the kitchen more often, he was a neat guy no arguments. She popped a pill in her mouth and shut the drawer. When she turned around he was standing there shirtless in front of the coffee machine.
