NOT SORRY I WANT YOU BACK

One could start with the laughing or bullying from almost everyone in Robson High.

One might even begin with the mocking or the alarm clock, ringing violently on the nightstand. But Jade didn't mind any of those it had become a regular.

Ever imagined going to school on the first day and almost everyone decides to pick on you just because you decided to stick to your book and mind your own business, especially the school, prestigious April Wilson who finds it funny to constantly make her life seem like an upgraded hell?

Well Jade didn't find it funny at all, she was living in a bad book. She dragged herself off her bed feeling the same way she always felt on a school day, "Ready to learn and be doomed" all at once.

Anyone would feel that way if they were in her shoes, she wondered why they had to do all that stuff to a girl who barely did anything wrong to them in her whole life, and then she comes back home to sleep and her silly alarm clock finds it funny to disturb her.

She glared at the alarm clock, then shook her head to clear off the sleep in her eyes, and then, glared at the alarm clock again.

"Hate you. " She muttered.

She dragged her feet to the bathroom and filled the tub.

She brushed her teeth, took a bath and after doing other bathroom business, she stepped out of the bathroom and walked to her large closet, leaving wet traces of her footsteps on the floor.

She picked out her most comfortable clothes to wear, an oversized green sweater and black baggy pants. She didn't look all hot, but she didn't care one bit, she had stopped caring a long time ago, she loved how comfortable she felt in baggy clothes, no matter what others said.

She put on a pair of shoes and tied her hair in a bun. She didn't bother to look into the mirror and, she didn't want to look at it because, whenever she looked into the mirror.

She didn't just see her image in it, she saw an unattractive girl, with zero friends and an uninteresting life, it was a reflection of who she truly was.

It always seemed like the mirror was mocking her, it kept reminding her of everything every time. As the saying goes, "What one does not see, one does not grieve over" so she skipped the mirror part. It didn't matter anyway.

She picked up her School bag and drifted down the stairs.

She was hit by the strong, sweet aroma of pancakes, toast, and, eggs. Her stomach grumbled in appreciation, she made a mental note to follow the aroma to its source.

She was still letting the aroma lead the way when she was interrupted by a huge hug, which almost knocked her off.

"Mum!!" She gasped, as she tried to steady her feet, but that did not stop her mother from jumping in excitement.

Wow, someone woke up on the right side of the bed today like always, she thought. She shook her head with a bored expression.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that honey, i'm just feeling so happy today and, you won't believe it" she squealed again.

" Wouldn't I?" She asked. "Oh, you won't" her mum assured her. "Let me take a wild guess Dad's cooking for the whole week again!" She said in a low tone.

"Aww, aren't you as sweet as your father, but you are so reserved, or is it I who doesn't pay much attention, honey?" She grabbed her cheeks and pinched them.

"Oh come on mum not the cheeks, am not a kid anymore and I'm just fine" she struggled out of her grip.

" You will always be my small kid and I love you," her mother said. To say she wasn't touched by the adoration in her eyes was a big truth, she wasn't moved.

It was one thing to say it and another to act it. She sighed "I know mum, " she said flatly, but she didn't believe her, her mom only showed up in her room a few times in her life and acted as though she was always present and was the sweetest mum but in truth they were times when she forgot her name.

Just then Jan walked into the sitting room all caked up and ready for school. Here comes the perfect baby, but Jade was already making her way out. "Are you two gossiping about me again" she internally rolled her eyes, she didn't have time to gossip or the charisma to do so. 

Unlike her, her sister was full of life, attractive, hot, and everything she was not, and also two years younger.

"Of course not, " her mother laughed it off "We were just talking about your dad cooking for the rest of the week." she clapped. "Thank God! I was thinking I'd have to live to eat-outs this week again" Jan replied.

She left their bickering and slipped into the kitchen, her dad had his back to her. She loved him more than the rest of her family, he was better, but sometimes he just didn't notice her.

"Morning Dad." she greeted coolly.

"Morning pumpkin" he cooed.

"I can see your back in the kitchen, like always?" She tried to make small talk.

"Ha-ha, yes, I always end up here" With a small smile she hugged him behind. "Love you too Dad, " she said.

He moaned a little " You're all grown now, how is your last year of high school preparations, are you ready for it?"

She wet her lips, she felt so nervous she might pass out.But it was a good thing he asked at least it would boost her confidence up a little bit you know? The father-daughter thingy.

After so many failed attempts, she was about to come out clean today, she was terrified of school.

"Um, dad? " She started

"Pass me the salt, " he cut her off

"Dad I just wanted to"

"Just pass me the salt sweetie, it's about to burn geez" 

She reached for the salt and passed it.

"And also the hand towel thank you!" She handed him a hand towel.

"Now what were you saying?" He didn't even look at her yet, he was too busy with the cooking.

"Never mind" and she turned and left sourly, just as always he didn't have much time to listen to her it was always one appointment or a chore or whatever excuse.

So she went on with her away with her words stuck on her tongue. So much for a father-daughter talk. She headed to her most dreaded place.
