#8 She's Cute

Last night Adrian did not sleep like usual, he spent half the night thinking of his accomplishments with a girl who drove herself into his life without permission and was beginning to mean something to him.

Something he wasn't sure of, he had helped her on three rough occasions. He would occasionally chuckle to himself and think of how he would make her repay him. After all, he didn't do favors for free.

He remembered the heat that rushed through his arm as it brushed against her's in the cause of his little scheme to rescue her from some girl who thought she was better than her, hell the imp thought she was better than everyone else.

He entered the school hallway, confidently and whistled to nothing, in particular, it was a bad habit he knew and it drew attention to him.

He loved the nasty looks the boys would give him for diverting all the girls' attention, and even loved that the girls exaggerated everything making his fellow males red with anger.

He wore a proud smirk as he walked where a path was cleared. He leaned on his locker still relishing in the glory of his fame.

Everyone looked every five seconds, except for one unique feature, Jade. The girl was covered in huge clothes, her messy hair tied into a bun.

"Cute". Adrian thought, and no matter how he tried to look away the little girl managed to draw his attention back. She was so fixed on getting books from her locker, that she didn't notice anything else around her. Even him, and somehow that did not sit well with him.

He did all sorts of things, but she didn't even spare him a glance, while every other girl was enjoying the sight. Finally, he could not help it and made to approach her at her locker.

"Adrian my man, I have been looking for you everywhere, even in the girl's bathroom". Thomas Jefferson all but yelled in Adrian's ear.

He bit back the groan at the tip of his tongue and turned to him.

"And what would I be doing on the girl's toilet?" He answered as calmly as possible. Thomas Jefferson only grinned wiggling his brows and Adrian swore to himself he would become a villain in his next life, just to strangle life outta the fool.

"Wanna go to a party tonight?" Thomas Jefferson dared to ask as if Adrian didn't already feel like strangling him.

Adrian maintained his cool, he knew a lot of people were eager to hear his reply and of course, he didn't want to disappoint the ladies and more, he didn't want to miss the look of annoyance on the boy's faces.

"Maybe, I will think about it". And yes, he didn't miss the stinky eyes thrown at him by Thomas

He turned back to Jade's corner, but she was long gone and all thanks to freaking Thomas. Adrian sulked to class.

He continued to draw nothing on a piece of paper throughout the first period and now the second was no different.

"Mr Bradford, could you stop this insolence and focus? Mr Smith scowled having found out Adrian's little game of drawing and throwing papers to nowhere in particular a little too late.

"What insolence are you talking about, Mr Smith?"

Adrian didn't spare the man a glance he would have if the man was an old man, but he was a man in his thirties and Adrian didn't see much of an age gap so...

"I mean what your-" Mr Smith started. "Enough" Adrian cut him off, ooos and Ahhs could be heard from the background, no doubt from the students.

"It's not my fault your lesson is boring okay? I'd rather get sent to kindergarten than stand one more minute in your class anyway " Adrian said ignoring the agreeing comments from across the class.

He knew it was disrespectful but the guy had been on his nerves for a long time now. The teacher stood stunned and watched him leave the class without a word.

Adrian found an empty water bottle on the floor outside the class and began to play it not minding whatever noise it made.

He just kicked the bottle and followed it to wherever it landed ignoring the protest from the loud teachers. How was he invisible to her? She didn't even try to say thank you properly.

He found himself in a room, a hall to be precise, he didn't care which room it was all he knew was he was bored and that was never a good thing. He stopped when he heard the sound of a ball bouncing on the floor.

Then he looked up amused at where he heard had landed. "Oh magic bottle landed me in a basketball hall, great!".

He looked around for signs of anyone but saw no one at first, then his eye caught a blue jersey from under the bleacher seats

"What's that?" He moved closer and it seemed like someone was stuck under. He squatted down and behold she was under the seats and didn't even seem to notice him at first. "Hey."

She jumped from under the seat hitting her head in the process, she gave a small moan. Adrian felt something inside of him thick she was too damn fine.

He chuckled softly. " And what are you doing here, snooping?" He teased. The girl went all red in the face.

"She's cute, very," He thought to himself.

"Ah hmm, I'm n-not s-snoop-ping, j-just p-pract-ticing. She finished out at last. " She's cute," He confirmed again to himself.

He had wanted to talk to the girl from day one, and he would admit he had expected the girl to come thanking him over and over for saving her but she never came.

Maybe she was too shy or scared he wouldn't blame her though. She must have gone through a lot, and to say she was bullied at all in school was an understatement she was harassed.

The poor girl was like a nuisance to everyone's vision, and with no reason but somehow for some reason, she seemed to be the only interesting thing in his vision lately and he didn't want to stop looking.

"Come out." he patted her head like a kitten and couldn't help but notice how soft and thick the reddish-brown curls were.

"I, I can't" she answered, "but why?" He furrowed his brows. "I'm s-stuck." She blushed harder forcing him to acknowledge how cute she was for the third time in just 2 minutes and that was crazy.
