The day passes quite quickly, school flying by as we see all our friends and I even welcome Josh with open arms. At lunch there seems to be a massive group of us, everyone from the battle sits with us. This seems to confuse the popular people that some of the gang use to hang with. Everyone seems to be recovering slowly, but steadily. The darkness that seemed to float around us seems to have disappeared and light and happiness is coming to the surface. Many of the groups parents where all fine, some seemed to have a bit of amnesia but other then that they were fine. All the pets are still at home and everyone seems to have overlooked the weird explosion of my house. I get a lot of sympathy from the staff and even some students come up to me and offer there condolences. Yes, now that everything has finished Ash and I have both been given time to grieve, grieve the deaths of our families and of our friends. But we are both trying to look at the bright side and believe that there sacrifi
The next morning after the party everyone seemed ready to move forward. After we had all cleaned the house, people started leaving. Riley and his gang were the first to go, having come the furtherest. They had quite a long drive back to there bootcamp training arena. As they drove away, we promised to stay in contact with them, and when that still didn’t encourage them. Riley had to sneak up to me and give me a kiss on the cheek. Ash’s face had been hilarious, and Riley and his group had fled. Practically running to the car, yelling there goodbyes. Ash had looked at me as if to say I told you he had a crush on you. But I just shrugged my shoulders and laughed at him. The rest of the group left in trickles, Josh and his group all hugged me and shook Ash’s hand. Most of them would see me at school next week. As the summer holidays were literally just coming to an end. Everyones families had come back safely from there holiday that they didn't even remember. Alex had been over there
A chorus of cheers erupts from the group and Natalie and I get swarmed. How they knew the Black was gone I can only assume that Cooper had been watching and had let them know. Alex comes up to me after giving Natalie a hug and says, “I think this calls for a celebration!” I nod my head, even after some of our friends sacrificed themselves for us to have this moment we can’t live with sadness, we must take the loss in our stride and thank them for what they have given us. Alex then rushes around everyone letting them know about the party. Natalie has moved to the far corner of the lounge room and is standing there alone, her head is in her hands and worry filters through my emotion. Walking over to her slowly, like approaching a frightened deer, I place a hand softly on her shoulder. “Everything okay Nat?” She looks up, no tears seem to be present so I’m slightly confused. “Yeah, everything is okay. Just trying to tell everyone that the horror is over and that everyone can ret
For a long moment, everyone faces the spot where the wizard disappeared from. Confusion and surprise a familiar feeling reflecting on the majority of faces. The monster just look majorly pissed off. Natalie then turns to face the monsters, “Would any of the monsters like to add anything? Or ask about a certain rule?” Black steps forward and addresses everyone. “Nominations for the representative council will be held next week. All the votes will be counted and a message will be sent to Natalie and Ash regarding the representative. Any further discussion about this will be held at the new monster headquarters. Which will be held in Aurelia Spires National Park. That way, we will not cause any disturbances to any of the local humans when they arrive back here tomorrow.” I glance at Natalie. How did the residents even know to leave before all this started? She just nods her head and understanding filters through. She used her powers, she must have done that before she arrived back
Walking around that corner and seeing the group of monsters and our friends standing together without fighting was a relief. Though the monsters do look pretty uncomfortable, probably because of the lack of space. The looks on the monsters faces and the audible gasp that escapes some of our friends as we walk around the corner makes me wonder what’s going on. Glancing at our connected hands I see a gold shimmery light escaping from our closed hands. It wraps its way up our arms and seems to surround the two of us. Casting a small gold light at the group in front of us. The group don’t seem to be able to do anything but stare at the two of us as we stand there, pretty much exposed to them. As the gold completely surrounds us, there is a loud band and a dark figure appears in front of us. “Ma Vista’s.” The slow pronunciation causes shivers to go down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. “It’s about time this meeting was called.” Confusion seems to ripple around
As we walk out of the room we hear a commotion in the living room, we glance at each other quickly before we race down the hall. Entering the room we see Cooper and Alex huddled together on the lounge a blanket around them and a group of people staring at them. Alex looks at me sheepishly, before obviously seeing the question in my eyes. She lets the blanket drop and I’m relieved to see her clothes on. Cooper also seems to be wearing his clothes as well. Slowly the group disperses, leaving Ash and I alone with the couple on the couch. Cooper stands and starts muttering, “It’s not what it looks like.” I muffle a laugh and look at Ash, he also seems quite amused by the turn of events. “Really?” He’s eyebrow arches and a small smirk appears on his lips. I laugh outright at the looks on Cooper and Alex’s face. Both of them scramble for words, “Really, I couldn’t sleep so I came out to the kitchen and Cooper was also standing in here. So we both went to sit on the lunch so we had c
