Victoria’s POV As soon as Zane’s grandfather arrived I knew he was something. He looked straight at me and stood still for a moment. “You have your grandmother’s eyes.” He said. “I am Jacob, an old friend of your grandmother, Ethel. Wonderful woman.” He had a twinkle of adoration in his eyes as he spoke of her. Oh how I missed her. “I need her back.” I mumbled trying to fight back the tears. Zane slung an arm around my shoulders and I felt a horrible dread wash over me. “And you will, my dear. We need to act fast.” Jacob suddenly turned serious. I suddenly felt sick and dizzy, like the whole of my insides were burning. “What is it?” Zane grabbed me and held me up stopping me from falling to the ground. I held my side and screamed out in agony. “What the heck is happening to me? It hurts, oh my goddess it’s painful.” I yelled so loudly that I scared myself. Clinging onto Zanes neck I hid my face into him, bit my lips and squeez
Victoria’s POV It did not take long to arrive back there. I did not need to look out the window to know that because I had that same feeling of dread knotted in the pit of my stomach that had been there the whole time I had lived here. “Come on, let’s get this over and done with.” Zane said to me with an encouraging smile. The sky was covered in thick, grey clouds that chucked down heavy bouts of rain. It didn’t look like it was stopping any time soon. “I found her, she’s down here.” Zane shouted over his shoulder. I hate being back at the red River pack but I knew I was needed there if I wanted my grandmother back. Relief washed over me when Zane kicked the door down with one go. Gasping tearfully I cannot believe that there is my grandmother slept in a corner, looking so exhausted and solemn. She hardly recognised me and only grunted when I shook her shoulders. It reeked down here but i didn’t care I was only bothered about getting her out of
Eliza’s POV “Alex?” I called out to him but he glared at me like he did not want to be near me. “Eliza what the heck is going on?” My father growled and grabbed me by the arm causing me to yelp. Suddenly his eyes went dark like he was mind linking someone and then he roared loudly. “What is it, daddy?” I trembled with fear not knowing what was wrong with him. My attention and focus suddenly off of Alex and I did not realise he had run off into the forest until it was too late. “Who the hell placed a prisoner into my dungeon? Victoria and some wizard have been to the pack and broken in. Now my betas son is dying and will be lucky to survive.” He roared much to my astonishment. Ralph was dying? Victoria was alive and had found her grandmother. I tried not to panic as I realised that I was about it be well and truly fumbled. If Alex got wind of my plan before I could become his Luna then I would lose everything. I had to find him. “D
Victoria’s POV “I can’t believe you’re alive.” I wept and hugged my grandmother with relief. She beamed at me. It had not taken us too long to arrive back at Zane’s. His grandfather was waiting patiently by the main gate and “But what about the red river pack? They will come after us, won’t they?” I could not help but worry since Alice had witnessed me on the scene. Alpha Evan would not be impressed when he found out that was true. Zane sighed and pulled me into his chest. “It will be ok, don’t worry. They will never be able to hurt you again. That’s a promise!” He reassured me, and I felt his fists clench as he said it. I could tell that he hated how that pack had treated me. I hated it too. Every day I had been made to feel like I were nothing but dirt, treated like a slave and forced to starve. I was confident I would never get out of there, so when Alex appeared, it felt like a dream come true. “Thank goodness you’re back. It looks like
Victoria’s POV I blinked a few times, wondering if I had heard Zane correctly. “They were declaring war on Alex’s pack and searching for me?” This wasn’t going to end well. I decided I needed to sort this out myself, once and for all. I could not let Alex’s pack suffer because of me. “Victoria, don’t do anything rash; you are perfectly safe here. They will never even know this place exists. They won’t find you.” He started to say, but I wasn’t listening. Alpha Evan and his daughter were pure evil, they would destroy anyone who got in their way, and as Alex did not even remember me, he wouldn’t fight back. They would walk all over him and the entire pack. I could not allow that to happen. There was a knock on the door, causing me to growl, and then seeing a young girl nervously step away, I felt terrible. My face softened, and I smiled at her. “I am sorry; how can I help you?” I asked in a friendly tone, ignoring Zane, who was still
Alex’s POV I don’t know what it was, but something about the smell had me going deeper into that forest. I was so confused because it was not the same scent that reminded me of Eliza. My Wolf was starting to go insane, and it was difficult for me to calm him down. The smell was getting stronger and stronger until I stopped in my tracks. There stood the most beautiful female I had ever seen, but I did not understand why she appealed to me since I already had my mate. My Wolf was desperate to get close to her, but seeing she was not alone made me think twice. I watched from a distance as the two talked, and he touched her arm, causing her to smile and laugh. Who was he? I felt like I knew her, as did my Wolf, but I could not remember. Why could I not remember? Suddenly I got a whiff of Eliza. Letting out a slight growl, I turned around and was shocked to see her in Wolf form. She was heading straight for the female and male. What sho
Victoria’s POV He looked clueless as to hearing my name. It irritated me so much to know that this was all Eliza’s doing, and she looked smug about it. Zane promised me that she would not get away with it, and I was going to ensure that she did pay for her actions. No matter what. “She is talking nonsense,” Eliza grunted as Zane held her down so she could not run away or attack. “Oh, am I?” I growled at her and walked right over to Alex, where I quickly sunk my teeth into his neck, and he shuddered at my touch. Images of our early childhood rushed through his mind, flashes of when we were reunited at the red river pack, right the way through to him asking me to be his Luna and meeting my grandmother. It was all there, and I had opened the door to memory lane for him. He gasped as it all hit him at once. Eliza’s mouth fell open as her stupid spell was suddenly broken. She was unable to do a damn thing about it. “My daddy will h
Alex’s POV I knew that something was not quite right. Here I was staring at the girl who was my actual mate. My Victoria. How dare this imposter try to fool me. Her father was obviously angered that he had been so humiliated in front of so many witnesses. Victoria’s friend held Eliza down so she could not escape his clutches. He had no idea what he was dealing with because this girl was absolutely crazy. I had to get back to my pack house before any more damage was caused. Eliza was glaring at me and then I saw the fake crocodile tears and that made me even madder. How dare she. Did she really think that she could get around me that easily. She had almost destroyed my life. I was so thankful that she had not been able to go through with that Luna ceremony. My eyes slowly darted towards Victoria. My one true mate. She was the one who had been blessed to me and I felt overwhelmed with guilt for not recognising he
