Victoria’s POV

It did not take long to arrive back there. I did not need to look out the window to know that because I had that same feeling of dread knotted in the pit of my stomach that had been there the whole time I had lived here.

“Come on, let’s get this over and done with.” Zane said to me with an encouraging smile.

The sky was covered in thick, grey clouds that chucked down heavy bouts of rain. It didn’t look like it was stopping any time soon.

“I found her, she’s down here.” Zane shouted over his shoulder.

I hate being back at the red River pack but I knew I was needed there if I wanted my grandmother back.

Relief washed over me when Zane kicked the door down with one go.

Gasping tearfully I cannot believe that there is my grandmother slept in a corner, looking so exhausted and solemn. She hardly recognised me and only grunted when I shook her shoulders.
