JASON'S POV

I had run away from home since the night I had set the fire to my home and it really had not been easy to pull the stunt I had. I had attacked Miriam and dealt with her heavily, finally believing that I had righted the wrong I had made many years ago. I should have killed her that night instead of allowing myself to fall in love with her. So much for that love I had for her as it had clearly gotten me nowhere.

I ran upstairs to get my kids as I had not trusted a distraught Eli not to harm them when he realized that Miriam was dead. The both of them had gotten off the bed and rushed over to me as I grabbed them and jumped from the window. My men were already outside as I had reached out to them during the entire time when Eli had been telling his story with a text. The instruction was clear and they had been quite busy with it as they already prepared the house to set on fire.
