“Let me go,” I say between my teeth.

“I’m afraid I can’t, princess,” Charles says, a little amused. “It’s either you go with him or me,” he turns around. I’m still in his arms, Felix is running towards us, and I’m grateful that we are in a city, so he can’t run at a vamp speed.

A car stops next to us, and Charles motions for me to get in, a wide grin on his face.

“I can’t leave Jane,” I shake my head.

“Jane will be fine, I spoke to Logan.”

‘Jane?’ I try to reach her.

‘I’m okay. I’m hiding. Where are you?’ she asks.

‘I’m with Charles.’

‘What? We can’t trust Charles...’

‘I’m going to kill you! You, throne thief!’ Felix is only two blocks away, his eyes blazing with something I can’t explain. Something I’ve never seen before.
