"My life is yours, Esther, my heart belongs to you. You can do with it as you wish." ******* Two species are fighting for Dominance. Werewolves and vampires. Werewolves are under the protection of Dominic, the immortal lycan with an untraceble scent. Princess Esther is the only vampire who can trace the elusive Dominic's scent, because she is his mate. So, she has been given a task of finding him and killing him. Without Dominic, the werewolves would be vulnerable. Dominic needs to get rid of Esther to survive and continue to protect the werewolf species against vampires.

The stranger's blue eyes beg me to save her, but I watch in my perfected blank stare as Charles Du Pont sinks his fangs further, draining the life out of her. He throws her lifeless body on the floor as if it’s a rag-doll. He looks up at me, his amber eyes glowing with pleasure and without any trace of blood on his lips. “This is one of the best things about being a vampire. Power!” He grins. “It’s amazing, isn’t it?” I murmur in agreement, my stomach churning in disgust as I try not to give him the reaction he wants. “So, why do you hate drinking the blood of life?” He grins. “I’ve heard stories about you and your choice of... Food.” “And you believed them? How would I survive if I didn’t drink blood?” “Oh! My love. Why didn’t you stop me from drinking alone?” “You seemed hungry,” I shrug. “I knew you would make a perfect bride. I have a surprise for you. Come with me.” I silently follow him. We take normal human steps through the castle, and it takes everything in me to remain patient. He keeps stealing glances at me, his smirk not leaving his face. "Honey," I say with a fake smile. "The suspense is killing me. Can't we just run?" "Patience, my love. We will get there." He smirks. 'Charles, how long are we going to play this game?' I send a telepathic message. 'What game?' He raises a brow. 'The game of you pretending to be in love with me in front of your family and mine.' 'Oh! That? We can play until you back out or later ask for a separation. I was hoping that you would back out before the wedding.' He grins. 'Why don’t you back out? I have more to lose than you.' 'Don’t be selfish, I also have so much to lose. You will be the one who leaves this sham of a marriage first.' When we finally get to one of the guest rooms, he swings the door wide open. I gasp when I come face to face with about five humans. Three of them are younger than 17, and then two are about older than 70. “Here’s your buffet, my lady." He bows, then he moves and stands behind me, placing his hands on my shoulders, making my skin crawl. "Pick whoever you want. You are about to be my wife, and it will be my duty to provide for you.” He whispers. “Who do you think deserves your mercy?” All terrified eyes look at me expectantly. They don’t have to say anything for me to know that every person in the room hopes that I will pick them. I randomly point at a boy who looks like he could be 14 years old. Charles moves at his vamp speed and makes him kneel in front of me. His wide grin making my stomach churn. “You have chosen well.” “I suppose we have to hypnotize him before we let him go?” I ask him. “Let him go where?” He asks with a smirk. “Home? You said...” “You misunderstood me, my love. I meant to save from this miserable world. It’s our job to save them, you know.” My eyes widen, and his lips curl up. “Please, please, please...” The boy looks up at me, his palms put together as he begs. I swallow uncomfortably. “I’ve had my fill two days ago. I’m still okay.” “Just as I suspected. You don’t drink human blood. Do you?” “I...” “Drink!” He motions towards the boy, his voice low and dangerous. He pauses, clearly speaking to someone through telepathy. 'That was Joan, the real love of my life. When I come back, you are going to drink this boy's blood.' 'You moron!' I glare at him. 'You will drink when I come back!' He swooshes out of the room. Five minutes later, the room breaks into a chaos of bloodcurdling screams and tears of humans who are begging me to save them. I pace around the room, panicking. “Stop!” I raise my hand. “I need to think.” “I’m going to spare your lives for one more day. If I leave and never come back, he is going to kill all of you.” The room breaks into chaotic panic again. “Do you want to die?” I hiss, baring my teeth at them. They all fall silent, moving to the furthest corner of the room. “If I release you, the vampires will kill you before you reach the doors of the castle. If you escape with some luck, there are more vampires in this forest. So, I’m giving you one more day. I’m going to run away, and I will still find you here tomorrow, I hope I would’ve come up with a plan.” “Please don’t leave us,” the boy cries. I close my eyes, and I bolt out of the room. The heavy door lands in a thud as I close it. I write a note, afraid that if I send a telepathy, Charles might come back to ‘check up on me.’ *Don’t let anyone touch my food, out for a walk. Will be back soon.* I stick the note on the door of the guest bedroom, and I listen for footsteps around the castle. I move in one swift motion to the main doors, and the guards bow before opening the doors for me. “You are finally here," Margaret, Charles’ sister, appears out of nowhere. "I was starting to get bored. Are you ready to see the garden? The decorations for your wedding reception are beautiful.” She squeals in excitement.EstherMy father and I walk down the aisle on the beach, wearing a designer gown by Alonzo, the most expensive vampire fashion designer. I smile back at about 200 smiling vampires who have the highest ranks as we walk. I avert my gaze to Charles on the altar, and he sheds a tear, getting a reaction of "awwww!" from those who believe that he is not faking it. Bernard, Charles's father, officiates the wedding, and I zone in and out of Charles' speech about how much he loves me. After saying our vows, we all take a large private plane to San Bernardino, one of the Du Pont Forests. We go to the beautifully decorated garden, and as expected, Margaret outdid herself. "How did I do?" She fidgets nervously with her hands. I pause for dramatic effect. "You outdid yourself," I smile, and her face immediately lights up. I hold her in a hug, telling her that I'm glad we are sisters, but in my heart, I secretly wish that Charles wasn't the reason that brought us together. Charles and I sit
Esther I sink into the throne, and I stay seated, staring at the walls and feeling lost. “Penny for your thoughts, my queen?” My uncle Felix bows as he enters the throne room. “Seeing you on that throne makes me emotional. You belong there.” “Don’t call me that, I’m not a queen yet.” I smile, relieved to see him. “But you will be our queen in a few days. I can’t believe you are leaving me.” I get down from the throne and rush to him. We hold each other in a hug and complain about how we are going to miss each other. Uncle Felix has always been more like my father more than my father has. “Was Charles an excellent host?” He holds my shoulders, watching my face closely, and I instantly know that he would know if I lie to him. “Uncle, I saw Charles drink human blood from the human until there was nothing left.” I wince as the memory comes to mind. “I didn’t want to judge him, but I couldn’t stop judging. How am I supposed to spend such a long time with someone when we don’t share
EstherI watch as the car drives off, a strange feeling of emptiness creeping up on me. I sink into the rock on the Carnegie beach, the breeze fanning my face. I tilt my head up to stare at the large, cold and lonely castle I call home perched on top of the mountain. ‘Jane, please come to the beach, and bring me something to wear,’ I send Jane a telepathy. ‘I’m on it,’ she responds and within two minutes, she appears in front of me holding a coat. “Esther, what happened?” Jane, my sister, asks, looking concerned. “Your request to bring something to wear surprised me. Are you cold?” She asks sarcastically. “I'm very cold,” I fake a shiver, prompting both of us to both laugh. "Thank you for bringing it anyway," I put on the coat."Whose T-shirt is that? Where were you? Charles was worried sick about you.” “That asshole! You know he was faking it. I decided to go for a drive and I found myself at a werewolf territory.” I tell her everything from the moment Charles gave me my 'meal
Dominic I draw her towards me, and she let’s out a sharp breath as our lips find each other. I turn her around kissing the back of her neck. She let’s out a gasp as my fingers move on the thin fabric of her bra, tracing her perked up nipples. “Kissing me from behind so that you can kill me again?” she exhales and turns, facing me. “I wasn’t trying to kill you,” I growl, and I move faster than Flash as I carry her to the bedroom, her legs wrapped around my waist. “Pity," she exhales. "You should’ve, because I’m going to once we done,” she moans as I kiss her neck, her legs clamping around me. “Don’t give me ideas. I’ll end you while you cum.” I let her fall on the bed, and I kiss her inner thigh. “Your toxic trait is you thinking you can make me cum,” she says breathlessly, eliciting a chuckle out of me. I undo her bra, leaving her breasts exposed to the dim light of the room. She covers her breasts with her hands, her cheeks turning crimson. “Are you okay?” I ask her. “I, I d
Esther“I’ll be right back, my car isn't parked far from here.” His rich baritone is enough to send chills through me.I watch his perfect butt as he moves, and when I’m sure that he is out of sight, I move in another direction swooshing between the trees, and carefully avoiding the other side of the river. I find myself face to face with him again, but this time he is dressed. I blink in confusion and I notice a slight fleeting smirk on his lips. “I wouldn’t think about running if I were you. The amount of rogues on that side will take you the entire day. If you try to run, I’m going to shift and I’ll catch you before you go far.”“What do you want from me?” I hiss. “To talk,” he says flatly, his dark eyes on me. “I don’t think there’s anything we can ever talk about.”“I’ll talk, and you’ll listen.”“Who are you?” I take a step back. “It doesn’t matter," he takes a step towards me. “Do you know who I am? If something happens to me, you won’t find peace.”“The problem is, you
Esther“Margaret, I didn’t see you there,” I say with what I hope appears as a smile. “Charles said you sent him out on some errand. I have never seen him so in love before.""We are very happy.""Are you coming? You must.” She tugs at my hand. “To the garden?”She knits her eyebrows. “Yes. Are you sure you are okay?” “Sorry, perhaps later. I’m going out for a walk.” I manage a smile. Her shoulders sag. “Should I join you?”“I won’t go far, I just need to clear my head. Wedding nerves.” I dart out of the house without waiting for her response, wanting to get out before more nosy coven members appear and convince me to stay, or worse offer to join me on my walk. When I've ensured that Margaret has left, I get my car, and I go back to the bedroom, to get my 'food.'I lead them out, my body feeling a little exhausted as I try to listen for any sounds of approaching vampires. "I'm going to enjoy my food outside. In the forest." I smile at the guards and they nod in response. We get
