I heard a light tap on my door and I stirred in my sleep, opened my eyes to see Nicole walk into the room. “I thought you’d be up and getting ready by now?” She asked, pulling the blanket away from me. She wrapped it in what looked like a ball and tossed it right at my face. “Ouch!” I yelled, my voice sounded muffled as the weight of the blanket had drowned the sound.Nicole giggled as she pushed it away from my face.“What time is it?” I asked, rubbing on my eyes with the back of my palm. “It’s err… 6:47pm.” Nicole answered, looking over at the clock on the nightstand. By now, she was already perched at the edge of my bed. I had placed my head on my pillow for a quick nap not too long ago. I looked out the window and noticed it was already starting to get dark, time really went by at lights speed.I stretched lazily, then stood. Nicole followed suite, following my lead as I walked into the bathroom. I paused in front of the tub as I noticed Nicole had followed me in.“Any speci
Gwaine’s POV:The drive home was quiet and pleasant as Catherine was already asleep in the car. I watched her as she slept, occasionally helping her maintain a good position as she kept dozing in all directions. I secured the wheel with one hand and used the other to fix her seatbelt. Before we got into the car, I had asked her to buckle it but being the defiant that she was, she had refused. From the moment I laid eyes on her earlier this evening, I couldn’t believe my eyes. She had a faint glow and the dim moonlight seemed to highlight it. Catherine was the kind of woman who stood out in a crowd. She was beautiful, in every sense of the word. Her scent was particularly different tonight, a lot more feminine. I couldn’t tell if it was a new cologne or one of the numerous scented bath oils Nicole had purchased but it was heavenly. I took one last look at her and then smiled.I pulled into the drive way and turned off the ignition. Looking over at Catherine, I noticed her head was le
I laid on the bed half awake, but struggling to go back to sleep. I felt like I was at peace. I could feel someone nudging me quietly to come awake but I ignored, holding on to that last bit of sleep for dear life. I shut my eyes tighter to block them but suddenly, I felt the blanket as it was pulled away from my skin, letting the cold air kiss my skin. I opened my eyes, already pissed at whoever dared to disrupt my rest. I saw Gwaine standing at the foot of the bed, my blanket in his hand. I frowned instantly.“I know you heard me call your name.” He said, folding the blanket and tossing it to a corner of the bed.“I know you saw me sleeping.” I replied, matching his attitude.“Come to think of it, why do you think it’s okay to disrupt my happiness? You dislike me that much?” I added, not giving him time to answer any question before adding another.I felt the tears gather and I did nothing to stop them when they threatened to pour out of my eyes. I cried, cussing at Gwaine simulta
Gwaine’s POV:The training center was surprisingly busy that morning. I walked in, Catherine trailing quietly behind me. She was quiet the entire ride here, frowning and looking out the window and sulking. We were greeted by everyone we walked by but Catherine didn’t bother responding to any of their greetings. I tugged at her arms slightly as I led the way.“Go one lap round this field.” I said to Catherine immediately we got to our usual training spot. She frowned as she looked round. I had no idea what she was going to say next but I was convinced I wouldn’t like it. “Isn’t that a little too extreme? I don’t think I can do it right now. Don’t you see how tired I look?” She argued, crossing her arms over her chest. “Cat, this is something you’re used to. Don’t make this more difficult than it had to be please.” I said but she stayed in place, not wanting to move an inch. I looked at her and she finally seemed to get the message I was trying to pass on because in a few minutes,
A fresh bout of nausea woke me up and I sat upright on the bed hoping to chase it away before it escaped my throat. I closed my eyes against the sudden onslaught of light in the room. I had been sleeping on my stomach which had been extremely uncomfortable because I had to careful of my stomach but it really was the only way I could sleep to prevent running to the bathroom throughout the night. The sheets were twisted into a tangled mess around my hips and feet. My arms and legs were hanging off the bed, one foot still dangling onto the floor with the toe pointed towards the bedpost. I waited for awhile and it subsided. It came again, stronger this time and I made a run for the bathroom, emptying the contents of my stomach into the toilet. After that there wasn’t much left in me to expel, so I stayed bent over the bowl and tried not to throw up again. Another wave of nausea had me scrunched over and I leaned over the bowl and suddenly, I felt strong masculine hands holding my hair o
I sat in the silence of my room, completely engrossed in my drawing. My left hand lazily caressing my stomach. These past few days has been difficult as I woke up sick every day. The morning sickness was as bad as it comes but I’ve been happy the entire process. Gwaine’s support has been my source of Joy recently as he was constantly doting on me. He is always present before I even need him. Although I’m in great discomfort most of the time, it’s been pleasant to have people who love me around. It didn’t feel like a chore and I’ve learned to handle it well. The experience so far has been beautiful; waking up to the realization that life is growing inside of you. My baby was still growing unusually fast.Rachael has been visiting often, trying her best to ease my discomfort. Although I can sense her worry every time she visits, she never fails to reassure me that my baby is doing just fine. I’ve decided to focus on her positive reassurance while hoping everything actually turns out f
Gwaine’s POV:I leaned on my arm as I watched Catherine sleep. She was spread lazily on the bed and the morning sunlight fell just so, illuminating every inch of her body. It made everything more beautiful and that made me feel a pang a warmth, an affection which I couldn't explain. The sheets shifted a bit, exposing the now visible buldge on her stomach. She was only a few weeks pregnant but she was already twice her size. Her belly was distended slightly, giving her a big bump that looked like she was more advanced than she actually was. I leaned in and trailed a finger on her stomach, it felt harder than I expected. There was a sudden movement in her stomach and I could swear I felt the baby kick. A now familiar warmth creeped into my heart as I smiled. I ran a finger on her stomach again, I needed to make sure I didn’t just imagine the movement. The baby kicked again and I almost erupted out of excitement. It was real. And this time it was a strong kick. I chuckled quietly as
I ran as fast as I could, panting audibly. I looked around, noticing how everything looked a lot bigger. The trees were so tall and I was closer to the ground.I looked at where my feet were supposed to be and I saw a pair of tiny paws. I didn’t stop running even with my confusion. I had no idea why I was running and as if to answer my question, I heard a loud growl that seemed to come from behind me. Immediately, I realized I was running for my life. I put one tiny paw in front of the other, running as fast as this little body could go. My heart was racing in my chest as fear overwhelmed me. I could tell that whatever was chasing me was starting to get close and I panicked, wondering where Gwaine was. I wished with all my heart that he would swoop in and save me, like he always does. ‘Please, faster. Run faster so you save the both of us.’ I pleaded with my wolf, urging her to move faster for the sake of both our lives. We got to a cave and decided to hide there. It wasn’t a perfe
