Richard

I felt a little bit of relief now. Emilia seemed okay, and I was okay too.

After everything that happened, after all the shouting, the hurt feelings, the coldness between us,just hearing her voice so calm and seeing her smile again made me breathe easier.

It was like a heavy weight had been lifted off my chest. Things weren’t perfect yet, but they were better. And that was enough for now.

I leaned back a little and looked at her. She was seated on the couch in her office, her hands gently resting on her desk. She looked calm, peaceful even, but I knew her well enough to still be worried.

What happened last night wasn't something anyone could easily brush off, especially not her. But still, she had this strong way of holding herself together.

"I'll make it up to you, I promise," I said, keeping my voice low and sincere. I meant it with every part of me. She deserved that, at the very least.

"With what? A French toast?" She teased as she gave me a wink.

"Okay, good one," I co

  • One Night Stand With Mr.. President   Chapter 110

EmiliaI was still lying there, the hospital gown itchy against my back, my head buzzing like someone had stuck a lawnmower in my brain. I stared at the ceiling tiles, my fingers fidgeting with the thin blanket. How the hell did my brakes fail? Just like that? Cars don’t just stop working. And that screech... it was still ringing in my ears. My chest tightened all over again. That wasn’t a mechanical hiccup. That was something else.I was still lost in thought when the door creaked open.I turned my head slightly, expecting a nurse or the doctor again, but no.Oh.Oh my God.The man who walked in looked like he’d stepped right out of some overly expensive cologne commercial. Tall, at least six-two. Brown, tousled hair that looked like it was styled effortlessly, even though I knew it wasn’t. Clear blue eyes that had no business being that bright. And a jawline that could slice diamonds. He was... absurd. He smiled as he walked closer. “Hey. You’re awake.”His voice? Yeah, unfairly smoot

Emilia“Making my way downtown… walking fast, faces pass and I’m homebound…” I sang at the top of my lungs as I cruised through the wide streets of Manhattan, windows rolled halfway down and hair bouncing lightly with every turn. “Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-dooo…”Vanessa Carlton was really doing something to my mood this morning. I wasn’t even trying to hide how off-key I sounded. I knew I was off. I didn’t care. The sky was crisp blue, traffic was surprisingly light for New York at this time, and the breeze was just right.“If I could fall… into the sky… do you think time… could pass me by?”I belted out the line, tapping my fingers against the steering wheel dramatically like I was in some sad indie movie. Then I let out a dramatic sigh and giggled. “Ugh, what a vibe.”My phone buzzed on the passenger seat, vibrating hard against the leather.“Who the hell is calling me now…” I mumbled, glancing quickly at the screen before grabbing it. The name read Jesse – Private Guy with a little dete

EmiliaI stood there, still breathing heavily, the echo of my own voice fading into the silence of the now-empty room. Broken glass crunched softly beneath my bare feet as I shifted my weight, the aftermath of the chaos littered all around, half-empty cups, lipstick-stained napkins, confetti on the rug, a pair of heels abandoned near the stairs.Serena hadn’t moved. She stood near the archway leading to the kitchen, one hand resting casually on her hip, the other holding the edge of the marble counter like she had all the time in the world. Then she began to walk.Slowly.Each step deliberate, heels clicking against the floor like little bullets, circling around me like a predator toying with its prey.“You know,” she started, her voice calm but edged with something sharp, “you should really be honest with yourself for once.”I turned my head slightly, narrowing my eyes. “What are you talking about?”Serena smiled, tight-lipped, cruel. “Richard. The distance. The coldness. You feel it

EmiliaThe ride back to the mansion felt longer than usual.Maybe it was just me, my body slumped into the driver’s seat like it was made of bricks, my shoulders tight from holding in too many things I couldn’t say out loud. My hands gripped the steering wheel tighter than necessary the entire way home. Not because I was in a hurry, but because I didn’t know what else to hold onto anymore. When I finally pulled into the driveway, the sky was already dimming. The fading sunlight stretched across the glass windows like golden veins, glinting off the top of the mansion. I parked, cut the engine, and sat there for a moment. My eyes burned, not just from exhaustion but from holding in everything since morning.I walked into the house slowly, like I was carrying weights tied to my ankles. My heels tapped faintly against the marble floors. I half-expected to hear that familiar voice, Serena, probably waiting somewhere with another round of snide remarks, her polished smirk ready to pounce. B

EmiliaThe smell of burnt coffee still clung to my clothes as I stared at Jayden standing in front of me like some messed-up joke. For a split second, I thought maybe I was hallucinating. There was no reason, no reason, he should be anywhere near this part of town. He didn’t live around here. He didn’t work around here. And yet, here he was, dressed in a black hoodie with the hood pulled halfway over his face like some shady movie character trying not to be seen.I took a step back, gripping the now-empty coffee cup like it was a weapon. “What the hell are you doing here, Jayden?”He didn’t answer at first. Just shoved his hands deep into his hoodie pocket and avoided my eyes. His shoulders were hunched, and his jaw clenched like he was chewing on a confession.“Jayden,” I said again, firmer this time. “You don’t live here. You don’t work here. So what are you doing? Were you… were you following me?”That got his attention. His eyes snapped to mine, and instead of denying it, like any
