Kieran's POV

Go Find Jason Pierres

"That's fine. The important thing is that she is improving." I try to console myself with words.

I walk away from the room where Matilda kept Selena and walk into my room.

"Pierres." I type it in my keyboard hoping to make my research as well.

Nothing comes up. I relax on the chair not even surprised. Mother and father must have made sure to delete every trace of their evidence.

It was stupid enough of me to think I would find something beneficial to me here. On the open website. If I should find something, it would not be worth it in the open sense.

Finding her brother's information from this same internet is as good as searching different haystack to find one pin. You will never see it there.

I have no other option but to wait for Justin.

"Young Master Kieran?" Matilda knocks on my door.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yes, I was just wondering..."

"Mmhmm.. about Justin." She glues her eyes to the ground.

"You? Matilda? Was just wondering about J

The War Between Shadows and FlameSelena’s POVBy the end of the third week, we stopped pretending this wasn’t a war. There were no formal declarations, no drawn battle lines, no banners raised in defiance. But we felt it in the silence of the defunct comm lines, in the way allies delayed responses that used to come in seconds, in the strange absences of familiar names from our daily intelligence briefings. They weren’t gone, not all of them, but they were quieter. Watching. Waiting. Listening to a voice that didn’t speak through bulletins or summits but filtered through rumor, paranoia, and what Jason now called “the whisper chain.” Mikhail wasn’t building with steel or strategy. He was building belief. And belief was harder to kill than blood.Michelle entered the command room that morning with eyes sharper than usual, a gesture in her hand that made even Jason rise before she spoke. “We lost the Flamehold in Drevnik.” No one responded. We’d been expecting it. “No casualties. Our

When Smoke SpeaksSelena’s POVThe warehouse still smelled like oil and iron when we stepped out. The air was thick with the aftertaste of memory and warning, and even though Mikhail had left without drawing a weapon, the tension his presence left behind clung to my skin like ash. I didn’t say anything as we crossed the cracked pavement of the lot, my boots scraping against gravel with every step. Jason remained at my side, jaw tight, his silence speaking volumes. Michelle followed closely, one hand resting near the weapon at her hip not out of fear, but out of instinct. She knew, as I did, that men like Mikhail never reappeared just to speak. Their words were always the first layer of something far more dangerous. And though he had walked away into the fog, I felt it the way the ground had shifted beneath us again. He didn’t need a throne or a faction. His presence alone was a spark waiting for oxygen. We entered the safe house thirty minutes later, a temporary space we’d prepar

The First Fire ReturnsSelena’s POVI knew something was wrong the moment the message arrived without a sender ID. It wasn’t encrypted. It wasn’t threatening. Just a plain text email that slipped past every firewall Michelle had set, every digital lock Jason had reinforced. But it wasn’t the breach that disturbed me it was the silence inside the message. No signature. No subject. Just one line that hit like a fist to the chest: He’s still alive. He never left. And beneath it, a single attachment a photograph.I opened it, fingers already trembling before the image appeared. The photo wasn’t recent. It was years old, distorted by time and static, but I recognized the background. The sharp arch of stone. The window cracked at the top. A warehouse we once used during a covert mission in North Alwick one where we lost three operatives and nearly lost Jason. But it wasn’t the setting that stole the breath from my lungs. It was the face standing in the shadows behind the crates. Parti

The Weight Of One, Carried By Three Elara's POV"This feels... different," Kieran murmured, his voice barely audible above the hum of the nexus point. His usual pragmatism was replaced by a palpable unease. The weight of our choice seemed to press down on him, heavy and suffocating."Indeed," Selena agreed, her voice low and steady. "The path of sacrifice. It's isolating, yet strengthening. We feel the weight of the decision, but also the unity of purpose." Her hand rested on the Sunstone, its light a comforting presence amidst the growing isolation."What's happening?" I asked, my voice tight. The solitude wasn't just a feeling; it was a tangible pressure, a growing sense of isolation that seemed to push us apart, even as our shared commitment held us together."The path is separating us," Selena explained. "It's testing our bond, pushing us to the limits of our individual capabilities. It's not separating our wills, but our perceptions. We are experiencing this trial individually,

The Price Of Balance Kieran's POVThe colossal crystal pulsed with an intense, almost blinding light. As we approached, the air grew heavy, charged with an energy that felt both exhilarating and terrifying. This was it. The first trial. The first encounter with the guardians of the nexus point."Are you ready?" Selena asked, her voice calm despite the palpable tension. Her eyes, however, held a steely resolve, a determination that mirrored my own. The months of preparation, the shared vulnerabilities, the unwavering unity-it all culminated in this moment.Elara nodded, her hand resting lightly on the hilt of her dagger. Her usual apprehension was replaced by a focused intensity, a fierce determination that spoke of years of training, of countless battles fought and won. Even Ignis seemed to sense the gravity of the moment, its golden light intensifying, its presence a reassuring weight in the otherwise surreal environment."Ready," I replied, my voice firm despite the tremor in my c

Into The Shimmering StormKieran's POVThe air shimmered, the very fabric of reality seeming to ripple before us. The Sunstone pulsed with an intensified energy, a vibrant beacon in the otherwise still chamber. This was it. The moment of transition. A deep breath caught in my throat, a mixture of fear and excitement churning within me. This was the culmination of weeks of intense preparation, of meditation, of shared vulnerability, of a carefully forged unity between us."Ready?" Selena asked, her voice barely a whisper, yet it carried an unwavering strength. Her eyes, usually bright and full of life, held a serious, almost solemn intensity.Elara nodded, her hand resting lightly on the hilt of her dagger. Her expression was composed, but I saw the flicker of apprehension in her eyes. Even Ignis seemed to sense the gravity of the moment, its golden eyes fixed on the shimmering air, its form radiating a palpable energy."Ready," I replied, my voice firm despite the tremor in my chest.
