Gavin’s POV

Gavin spent the last few days working tiredly in the nursery. He’s been wanting to surprise Erin with this for a long time and he was excited to reveal it to her. 

Erin spent the next few evenings giving the nursery her own final touches. 

But one afternoon, she tiredly came into his office, peering over at him with a timid frown on her face. 

“Have you been sleeping?” He asked, narrowing his eyes at her paling face. 

“A little at a time,” she admitted. “The pup is very active and makes sleeping difficult.” 

“I’ll call the doctor and see if he can prescribe you anything,” he said, about to pick up the phone. 

“I’d rather not take medication. Maybe if he knows of a natural solution or remedies,” I said. 

“I’ll ask him,” he assured me. 

“Can it wait until later, though?” I asked. “My boss, Theo from the organization wants to speak with you.”
