#Chapter 37 – You’re going to be a father.

Erin’s POV

The two glasses I was holding shattered to the ground, alerting the attention of everybody in the restaurant, including Henry and Susanna.

They both turned to stare at me with wide eyes; Henry with more concern and Susanna with more humor.

My heart was beating heavily in my chest as I stared between the two of them.

I couldn’t have heard them correctly.

“I… I’m sorry…” I said, turning away from them quickly and hurrying toward the bathroom.

Suddenly, my stomach was turning itself outward and I wasn’t feeling so good.

“Erin?” I heard Kelsey from behind me; though, her voice sounded distant.

I didn’t turn around or stop moving.

I was pleased that my stomach waited until it was the closed compacity of the stall before it gave out. I hunched over the toilet and released its contents.
