Ryan’s eyes lit up as he looked at me.

He turned around and said to Bishop, “What a pretty girl! Is she your girlfriend?”

“I’m not.” I denied it immediately.

I secretly begged this gentleman named Ryan not to talk nonsense.

Bishop obviously resented me. If Ryan said that I was his girlfriend now, he would probably want to kill me.

However, Bishop looked at me with a frown and asked, “Are you in such a hurry to dissociate yourself from me?”

I could not figure out the reason behind his rage.

Would it not be a good thing for him that I dissociated myself from him?

After all, my existence was humiliating in his eyes.

Ryan seemed to have sensed the awkward atmosphere between us, so he mediated, “Alright, alright. There’s not much time left. Miss, please follow me.”

I heaved a sigh of relief and hurriedly followed him out of the lounge.

“Bishop has a sharp tongue, but he’s soft-hearted. I can tell that you’re different in his eyes.”

I smiled perfunctorily.
