Maya feels restless and trap in her skin. Since she answered that call that was clearly meant for Thomas, she found herself in a kind of fog, clearly searching but what she wasn’t certain.“Where are you?” he called. She turned to look at the door waiting to see him. Again, her mind starts to wander… she walked beneath the golden moon. Her brown eyes lifted towards the sky, allowing the cool breeze to washed over her heated skin. Her uncertain feet leading her towards the golden orchard. The cloying sweet juices of the unholy fruit softly dripped onto her bare shoulders, making a sweet-smelling path between her full breasts and down her spine.Smiling she touched a finger, tasting the sweet honey. Her brown eyes turned golden, revealing a dangerous desirous twinkling. As she walked beneath the high moon, her body feeling alive and sensuous. Her aching fingers longed to touched the corded muscles of another sensuous body. Her skin golden in the sun…gleaming softly like the moon. Tonigh
Maya stepped into the local Bar and Grill. She immediately becomes aware of being looked at. She squares her shoulders before moving to find a table close to the window. She sits down reaching for the menu.“May I join you?”Silly Sally instantly recognized her. The jealousy was fast building. In her furtive mind and smelling she knew whose scent she was finding intoxicated just by being this close to the girl. She watches the girl slowly looking up towards her. She can even recognize the kissed-bruised lips.“Do I know you?” Maya frowned trying to place the woman.“No, you don’t but I know all about you?”Sally simply pulled the chair from beneath the table before getting comfortable.“Really…”“Maya Asher,” Sally said to make her opening point.“What do you want?”“I want an introduction.” Sally placed her order wanting the waiter gone.“Who are you talking about?”“Billionaire Thomas Roman.”Maya just looked at her. A small frown starts to crease between her eyes. She slowly leaned
Billy stood in front of the gates of Doom Cemetery. He reached out to ring the clock. He felt extremely nervous. She kept pacing wondering if someone would open the gates. He certainly learned his lesson about entering without permission.“What are you doing here?”“Bloody hell!” Billy said startled. “Why do you always just appear Dad?”“I ask again, what are you doing here Billy?”“I need to talk with you, please.”“I have nothing to say to you. Leave.”“Please Dad, I know Gia is staying here with you.”“What are you talking about?”“I have a copy of the letter send to you.” Billy retrieve the letter from his pocket handing it to his father. “I need to talk with both of you.”“Where did you get this letter Billy?” William was displeased by his usual underhandedness.“Dad it took time before I realized Gia might be hiding. I asked around. An orderly at the hospital told me she has been hiding there all this time.”“You believe this guy?”“I do.”“Why?”“He was looking down the barrel
Billy enters the Bar and Grill going towards the back where he sits down at the hidden table. He briefly looked at his watch waiting. He still feels numb with the information he had received from his wife. The mistakes he made now has to be paid by his only child.“Hello,” Drunk Johnny sits down across from him.“Who are you?” Billy was in no mood for conversation.“I could be a friend,” Johnny looked at the man who somehow seemed different today. “You look like a man who heard bad news.” He observed.“What do you want?” Billy grip the edge of the table in conflict about either leaving or attacking the man.“What you were looking for down in the alley, wrong weapon.” Johnny carefully said.“What are you talking about?” Billy instantly on edge.“You know when people think you are a nobody, that’s the moments when you hear and see so much more. Why do you need a gun? Aren’t you out of jail recently?”“What do you know about me?”“Plenty…” Johnny said straightforward. “Something changed
“I am the Pastor; I have no faith in the church.” The dark cloth man stood in front of the gates of Doom Cemetery. “Open these gates,” he yelled. The swirling mist slowly moved towards him. He watches the natures spell surrounding him in its wet claws. “Let me inside,” he said with another rising voice. He tries to rub the chill from his body but it seemed to be settled deeply within him.“Who are you?” William heard the yelling. He came to inspect.“Let me inside.” The Pastor said shivering.“Strangers aren’t allowed on these grounds sir.”“I want to come inside. Open the gates,” the man insists.“I can’t sir. You can only enter by invitation.”“Open these gates now!” he insists while grabbing hold of the cold bars.“Please leave sir, before I call the authorities.”William allowed the mist to surrounds him. Now out of sight from the man behind the gates he stood motionless watching and waiting. Lately he has an uneasy feeling there was changing in the atmosphere of the Cemetery. In
Billy re- enters the Bar and Grill. He is worried about the meeting with Thomas Roman. That creature could be very unpredictable. He did notice his behavior with Maya. If that’s even true but he acted caring, much more than what he ever was towards Gia.The life he had planned with her went completely of the rail. Apparently, she had forgotten their pact. He found his usual chair and sits down. He ordered a bottle of brandy.“You look thunderous. What happened?” Johnny slide onto the other chair and joined him at the table, slightly out of breath, praying no one had noticed his out of character behavior earlier. He looks nervous, jittery, as he eyed the bottle of brandy. Lately, his luck has run out and being unemployed didn’t helped either.“Women are a waste of time,” Billy snaps, uncorking the bottle.“Not always. They do have their uses,” Johnny sniggers to conceal his true thoughts.“Maybe you’re right.” Billy gulps down some brandy.“You are acting strange, what happened?”“Why
Nightfall settles over Doom. The time was between six and seven o’clock it was early evening the night strangely pitch-black. The evening moves along, so did the thick rolling mist. Everything becomes unpredictable recently. The habitants of the town and surrounding areas know to be outside on a night like the one tonight was fatal.Maya stood just inside the door of the cottage. She can still feel the presence of her mother just behind her. The woman has completely confused her.“Maya, once you focus on what’s in your heart, you will discover your own truth.” Gia said softly. She blinks her eyes to focus unaware there was a shifting in the quality of her sight gleaming with a knowledge not for her to know at the time. Her heart starts to beat slowly with that strange knowledge. She found herself moving towards the path knowing now something was very wrong in the Cemetery she called home. On the path, she stops to listen and realizing after tonight nothing will ever be the same again.
Maya found her way back to the gate where she had entered through. Her relief was huge when she found Gia waiting there looking anxious. Both step closer to each other and without thinking embraced each other briefly. The physical contact unleashed hidden memories neither realized were there.Shock both separate immediately wondering what the other noticed. Individually shaking their heads, they turned to look at the waiting gate.“Shall we leave?” Maya asked carefully.“Yes,” Gia looked backwards not liking where they were. She can smell death in the air.She reached out and entwined her fingers through Maya’s. I don’t want us to separate again,” she said in answer to the questioning look.“It’s fine.” Maya took a deep breath before together they step through. The mistiness immediately surrounds them.“I hope Papa is at the cottage.” She said walking purposefully.Gia makes sure to stay right beside her daughter. She was finding the truth of the Cemetery unsettling. She watches Maya
