Chapter 72

Lorie's pov.

I woke up tangled in the arms of my husband. My face was on his chest and he smelled sweet. Unable to resist the urge, I hugged him tighter and sniffed his scent.

‘You like how I smell?’ his voice was sounding a bit hoarse. Embarrassed from being caught sniffing like a dog, I blushed and buried my head in his chest. He giggled and wrapped his arms around me.

‘good morning my love.’ Damn! I love his morning voice it makes my legs tingle with excitement.

‘good morning Asher.’ I replied turning so that my head would rest on his chest. My ear was directly on his chest and I could almost hear his heart pound fast and almost very hard. It was unusual for the human heart to beat that fast and hard. It only happens to me when Asher gives me one of those smiles. Those smiles make me wet and hungry for him. It makes my heart pound like that. But why was Asher's heart beating like that?
