Clash: Ask Kai for help?

The hustle and Bustle in the Pack as they prepare for the Princess’ eighteenth Birthday has woken Valerie up from her short nap.

“Why is it so noisy?” She groaned to herself as she turned on her bed, covering her ear. She had completely forgotten it was her birthday and when she realized she let out.

“Oh. It’s my eighteenth birthday soon.” She said again to herself, “I really should start taking it seriously.” She thought as she stood up to take a relaxing bath, walking to the bathroom Valerie thought of how angry at her her mother had been, she’d better apologize and after much thoughts, she proceeded to have her bath.

Dressing up, Valerie walked out of her room still exhausted and feeling bad for disobeying her mother, she sat to think for a while before standing up.

“Mother?” She called as she opened the door to her mother’s room. Clarissa ignored her daughter and went on talking to Adira. “Mother.” She called again. “I’m Sorry.” She added and Clarissa turned.

“Leave us.” Clarissa ordered Adira who took a bow and left the room immediately.

“I’m sorry Mother.” Valerie said again.

“What exactly is it you’re sorry for, Valerie?” Clarissa asked with a raised eyebrow.

She was aware what her daughter had done but she wanted her to admit it in her apology, a confused looking Valerie answered.

“I disobeyed you and left the house when you had strictly warned me not to, I’m sorry for that.” She explained and Clarissa smiled.

“I’m just looking out for you child.” Clarissa said as she took steps towards Valerie. “I’m worried and not only that, I’m scared for you. Tomorrow is another full moon and you have no idea what awaits you.

“I know mother.” Valerie said. “I’m sorry, I should’ve listened to you and just stayed home. I’m sorry again Mother.” Valerie apologized again.

“It’s Okay. Enough with the apologies, I trust you and I trust your judgment and like I said, I was only pretty scared but I’ve come to realize that there’s only little I can do to stop you. You’re not one to be stopped, you’re born powerful, born a queen. You were born to dominate not to submit.” Clarissa said.

“But, you are my mother...” Valerie started saying and it melted Clarissa’s heart. “You know what’s best for me and so I should’ve listened to you.” She finished.

“The moon goddess knows what is best for us.” Clarissa said, placing her hand on her daughter’s face. “And on the bright side, we won and that was all because of you.” She added with a happy smile.

“Thank You Mother.” Valerie said as she got closer to hug her mother who returned the hug with a warm one of hers.

“Suprema.” Adira called, opening the door slightly to peep in. “The packs are ready for your announcement and we also need to celebrate our victory.” She added with a smile.

“Let’s go.” Clarissa said, holding her daughter and pulling her do she could follow the lead.

They got outside to see the pack gathered in happiness, satisfied, Clarissa smiled a little before speaking.

“Welcome, the pack of Aletha.” She greeted before proceeding. “Glory to the moon goddess we have won yet another battle.” She announced and the pack all cheered in excitement.

“Thanks to Adira for her wonderful service and the armies for their Valor for without them it would be impossible...” She continued. “And also, a big thanks to Princess Valerie for she was also the crucial reason for this victory.” Clarissa added with a smile and the crowd cheered again.

“Long live the princess!” The crowd yelled in unison. Clarissa smiled to her daughter, opening the ground for her to give her thanks too.

“Thank You, Aletha.” Valerie started saying. “The Thanks should be to the moon goddess for without her guidance we only do whatever it is we do in vain.” She added.

“Glory to her.” The crowds replied.

“And also thank you for your love for that is what keeps me going and makes me even pleased to serve you all, also, thank you to Adira and the armies.” Valerie finished and took a step back as the pack cheered in howls.

“As you all know, it’s the princess Birthday tomorrow.” Clarissa announced. “There would be a huge feast and celebration for her birthday and also for Aletha’s victory tonight. You all are invited.” Clarissa finished with a smile and after a while of cheering, the packs dispersed.

Walking back to the chambers with her mother, Valerie’s uneasiness increased and she had no reason why, unable to keep it to herself any longer she said, “mother, I have some concerns.” Valerie called her mother to attention and surprised as Valerie usually have little to nothing to think about, she turned to her daughter.

“What’s the matter Child?” Clarissa said softly.

“It’s the way I’m feeling.” She started saying. “I feel like there is danger coming and it is unusual but that’s how I feel, I don’t know where it will be coming from or when it is coming but I do know that this feeling can’t be untrue.” She explained to her mother who only looked at her.

“Valerie, it is normal to feel this way especially after fighting a dangerous battle.” Clarissa said.

“No. This is different, I can feel it. I can feel the danger in my gut.” She added and she said it with so much fear that made even her mother scared. Valerie never gets scared of anything but this time it was different.

“The goddess would protect us from any form of danger and if that isn’t enough then I will have the prophet here so he can tell us what to expect, how does that sound?” Clarissa said.

“Perfect.” She said feeling a little bit relieved but her fear still lingers.

“Now, go take a rest, tomorrow is your big day.” Clarissa said as she turned to go into her own room.

Valerie walked back to her room feeling worried and when she’d tried to sleep, nightmares kept her from falling asleep, sitting by her window side to check what was going on outside and staring at the moon that hasn’t fully surfaced yet, Valerie smiled at the thought of the full moon. The night of the full moon had always been her favorite night, although, it never goes well for her as most of the nights she goes through lots of pains and absorbs new power that she doesn’t understand.

Valerie walked back to her bed and as she laid on it. She fell into the warm arms of her bed’s comfort and after a while, she drifted off.

The room was too bright, Valerie turned as she groaned, she completely forgot to drop the drapes the previous night, flickering her eyes open she noticed the serenity of the palace, that is unusual as it was supposed to be her birthday today and not even a single person has walked past her door or around, she went to her window where she sees everything happening and no single member of the pack in sight.

“Adria?!” She called, scared as she ran out of her room. Valerie had thought what she was fearing had eventually happened, walking around the chambers she finally came across one of the maids.

“Finally!” She let our in relief. “I thought we were already wiped out from existence and I was the only surviving one.” She joked.

“What is going on? Where is everyone? Why is everywhere quiet?” She asked again.

“It’s the full moon..” the maid starts explaining.

“Oh yes, I’d completely forgotten. They’re at the coven, aren’t they?” She asked with realization and the maid nodded. “I’ll go get ready, thank you.” Valerie walked to her room relieved.

“What is going to happen?” Clarissa asked the prophet.

“Danger is coming.” The Prophet answered after a while of silence and the pack feared.

“Danger?” Clarissa asked. “When and where? How do we avoid it?” She asked.

“There is nothing we can do. Where the danger comes from is unknown and it’s inevitable, there’s no way to avoid it.” The Prophet shook his head and the pack murmured in fear.

“Silence!” Clarissa ordered and the pack stopped. “We have Faith in the goddess and we know she won’t let danger come near her own. Be rest assured, we will overcome.” She added and the pack calmed.

“This will not b mentioned when Valerie gets here, we will enjoy her birthday and the celebration of the full moon.” Clarissa ordered and the pack nodded in understanding.

Getting ready for her birthday celebration, she dressed herself in her finest robe and made her way to the coven, the rest of the packs howled as she got closer. Walking into the coven, they all bowed in acknowledgement of her presence.

“Happy birthday daughter.” Clarissa said as her daughter got to her with a smile.

“Thank you Mother. Thank you all.” She said with a big smile. “Where is Adira?” She asked as she looked around and couldn’t find her mentor.

Celebration went on and the Aletha pack celebrated in happiness, howling and shouts as the Aletha armies raced towards the coven.

“What is going on?” Clarissa asked.

“Humans” Adira said. “Wolf hunters. They’re here.” She added.

“We’ve hidden for far too long, what is it that they want coming here like this?” Clarissa yelled and her eyes changed. Howling, she turned and the rest of the pack including Valerie joined in as the all howled in unison, racing to where the wolf hunters are, Clarissa recognized one of them.

“Alejandro.” She called as she turned back to her human form.

“Clarissa. I knew I’ll find you.” Alejandro said as he pulled out his silver. “Let’s see how powerful you are now.” He added.

Howling, Clarissa turned and dashed towards Alejandro.

“Call Kai,” She heard her mother whisper under her breath, “we need his help.” She finished and Valerie’s eyes bulged, how could she call Kai and ask for his help?

“No.” She whispered before running as fast as she could to help her mother.
