Two Days Later

I should have stayed a few more days at the hotel. At least, if Ares hadn't chosen to appear out of nowhere.

He drove us back to the palace the next morning and made up some excuse for us going for a friendly sibling outing.

Today was the wedding, and I sighed, staring at my reflection in the mirror.

Jess and Emily had spent hours making the soft curls in my hair and light makeup on my face. The red dress hugged my body while covering almost every inch of my skin.
