Mag-log inI walked to the door of the mini hall, took in a deep breath and stepped in.
James had earlier texted him to meet in the hall for preparation. Though I am still wondering how he got my number. Such a mysterious guy. My eyes landed on him but he wasn't alone, he was with his friends. They were a group of four. James, Damien, our class rep, and two others I have no idea what their name was. They were talking about a lady but when they noticed I was around. They kept shut and shifted their gaze to me. "Hey beautiful." One of them called out. I rolled my gaze from the others to the one that just spoke. "Hey." I replied, I didn't know the best word to use to respond to him. They exchanged glances and turned back to look at me, their stares boring holes into me. I exhaled and hopped down of the mini podium to the next floor I walked over to a seat quite far from where they were. I opened my bag and brought out my phone. If nothing happened within a minute, I was going to leave. I was still thinking of this when they all stood up and walked out of the hall without saying a word. "Hey, Clara." James called out. "Why are we here? I thought we'd concluded we would be meeting on the field." I voiced out. "Yeah I know I had a change of mind, come on I don't bite, come closer...unless you ask nicely" He said. "No! So you don't get to splash muddy water on me and call it an accident." I yelled out. He paused and suddenly burst out laughing. I blinked. What's funny in what I just said? "Like seriously? Did you just remember that, we'd met this morning and you said nothing about that." He said. I shrugged without replying, my eyes still fixed on my phone. "Maybe you should also remember what you were doing in my toilet a few days back." He said. I sniffed. "Whatever..it was just a coincidence I thought the room belonged to Ethan, that's all." I mouthed. "Of course you still don't expect me to believe that. You thought it was Ethan's room or whatever you call the guy and yet you entered his toilet, who does that?" He mouthed. A smirk appeared on my face as I shifted my gaze away from him. Of course, what was I expecting? That was going to be the same question any one who knows about it would ask me. "Well, that's gone already." I voiced out. "No! It hasn't gone yet because I still can't believe it happened. Wait! Is Ethan your boyfriend?" He asked, focusing his gaze on me. "I don't want to talk about that, please." I said in a haste. "Alright, if you don't want to talk about it it's fine and I'm sorry for the muddy water though. " He said. I drew my brows together. I'd thought he was the baddest boy who never said the word sorry. "Fine, I'm also sorry for appearing in your toilet unexpectedly." I muttered. "Sure, are we cool now?" He asked again. A smile threatened to surface on my cheek. "I don't know, let's just dive into what we are here for." I uttered. "This is the first time we are having a peaceful conversation." He said and brought out the equipment needed from his bag. "Kind of." I replied and took one of the gloves beside the chronicle flask, wearing it tight on my hand. "You're too serious." He suddenly said, "I need to pass this course, guy. Have you ever thought of who you would be when you fail chemistry." I mouthed. "Of course I love the course. I mean all the courses but basketball comes first." A smirk appeared on my face. "Stop bragging to me about what I haven't even seen you play." I replied, my hands on the measuring cylinder. "Of course there'd never be a chance but the school sport center is opening in two weeks time so you're going to watch me with your mouth full open." He concluded. I scoffed. "You give yourself so much praise, guy." I said. "Yes, because I know what I can do, girl." He replied. "I'm not a girl." I replied. "Do you want to point out all of what I said?" He mouthed. "No, just trying to tell you what I don't want." I replied. "Okay, fine." He replied. My hands moved over the equipment as I arranged it in order. "So what game do you know how to play best?" He asked. I smiled, my eyes fixed on the equipment. "If there's one sport in this world I'd always loved to play is hockey." I replied. "Woah that's great, you don't play basketball? " He asked. "That's my second best." I replied. "You know...there's kind of some sort of attraction between the both of us." James said. My brows drew together. What was he talking about? "I don't get you." I said, looking at my wristwatch. It was already 8:35pm. We practiced and spoke for more than four hours. "I mean, colliding at the party, appearing in my toilet, muddy splash and then project partners, it's all pointing at something." He said. My eyes met with his boring eyes. "What are you expecting to say?" I shrugged. I dipped my phone into my bag and closed it. "It's fine you can just stay mute." He muttered. "It's already late don't you.." I was still in between my sentences when the light tripped off. The whole hall went dark. My heart pounded. I needed to find the light. I was struggling to stand up when I accidentally bumped into James. I staggered but his cold hands laid on my waist, holding me steady. My heart skipped a beat when I heard James' voice close to my ears. Close enough to feel the breath from his nostrils. "You don't need to be scared, I'm here with you." Silence stretched between us as I could feel his breath even more closely. I moved my head forward a bit trying to balance when my lips accidentally brushed his. I froze and moved my head. And at that moment the light turned on. I quickly pulled away from his hold, held my handbag and hurried out of the mini hall. Without saying a word nor staring back at his face. I hastened my steps to my dorm, what just happened kept replaying in my head. I shut the door behind me as I entered my room. I threw my bag on the mini table near my bed and lay on the bed. "What happened. " Emile and Ivy asked almost at the same time. I exhaled. "It's a freaking long story." I replied, my gaze fixed on the white ceiling. "Come on, tell us about it." Emile said, I could hear the sound of her changing her position on her bed. I froze. A knock from the door rang through my ears. I hope it wasn't James at the door.I rubbed my closed eyelids and gave out a loud yawn as I woke up from sleep. My gaze landed on Ivy and Emile. They were both still sleeping.I sat up and yawned again. Yesterday was freaking stressful. After the sweet long kiss, we ordered some stuffs for the party, and James also took me outing. My mom also called me a lot of times, to the point that I had to promise her I was coming home this weekend. That was the sole reason I woke up early.I rose up from my bed, wore my home slippers, and staggered to the bathroom.I exhaled as the cold water ran through my hands.I brushed my teeth and entered into the bathing tub.I switched it to warm water instead of the cold one.A broad smile appeared on my face as my head replayed what happened yesterday.I still can't believe I let that dick head kiss me.Oooh my gosh, the kiss was damn sweet.I had never gotten that type of kiss from Ethan before. He also took me outing to three different places.James is a guy that knows what a lady rea
I quickly drew my chair backward and scanned around to see who it was.My gaze fell on James. He wasn't squatting anymore; he was sitting on a chair next to me. So quick. My gaze finally fell on the person that called me.I placed my hand on my chest as I exhaled. It was the same lady that disrupted me in Physics Fundamental class.I didn't even remember her name."Yes... how may I help you?" I struggled to talk calmly."Just decided to say hi," she responded.I nodded my head a little. Her eyes showed otherwise. She had definitely seen us. I kept quiet, waiting for her to talk about what she saw.But instead, she looked at us for some seconds and finally stepped out.I blinked rapidly. She was a weirdo. I stared back at James. He was busy on his phone now."The review has been cancelled," James voiced out, his gaze still on his phone. Why was he behaving like nothing just happened?I blinked. Whatever. At least now I know that I'm not the only one feeling this way.It feels like a hu
His phone rang. My gaze fell on the caller: Sandra. That was a girl calling him. I shifted my gaze away from his phone before he noticed.I blinked rapidly as he stared at the caller briefly and shifted his gaze away.I swallowed. Wasn't he going to pick the call?I bit my bottom lip the minute the call ended.I focused my gaze back on the equipment when the phone rang again.I looked at him this time. He did the same again, stared at the screen for a few seconds, and looked away."Aren't you going to pick your call?" I asked, looking at him."No, don't worry about that," he muttered. The phone call came to an end again.I slightly nodded and looked back at the equipment the second time.Sooner than expected, the phone rang again.I took in a deep breath and released it. His phone's ringing tone was deafening, and I couldn't take it anymore."It's either you pick the call or I do, James," I said, trying to be serious. He looked up at me and burst into laughter.I knew he was laughing
My heart skipped a beat as I looked at Emile. "We don't need to get scared now. We can actually map this out but first we are going to take an oath." Emile said."Okay..okay." Ivy stammered, holding tight the hem of her pajamas.Suddenly I heard a faint voice calling my name.I gasped. Had they found out? I covered my ears with my two hands and shut my eyes.My breath hitched as I felt a tap on my shoulder.I snapped my eyes open. My gaze fell on Ivy. She was standing right next to me.I blinked. I was lying down on my bed. So it was all a dream.I heaved a sigh of relief and sat on the bed."What's wrong? You were talking and rolling on the bed." Ivy said."Did you go out yesterday's night?" I asked, ignoring her first question."You haven't answered my question, Clara." Ivy mouthed. My gaze fell on Emile, she was still sleeping."What's wrong with Emile? She’s still sleeping by this time." I said."I don't know. Ask her when she wakes up." Ivy said, with a smile."Hope we aren't ha
"What are you doing here!" The masculine voice vibrated through my system.I could even heat Ivy's heart best. "You guys can go." Emile said and turned back. What leave! How on earth was that going to be possible? We can't leave without her. I turned to ask her how we were going to survive leaving without her.My gaze landed on the guy. I froze. It was him.The rink guy I hit with a broken bottle at the party.I quickly turned back and ran alongside Ivy before he recognized me.I could hear Ivy running behind me. Faster than her also.I exhaled as I and Ivy got out of the male's dorm."We can't go back to the female's dorm now." I said."Why?" I heard Emile's voice.I breathed out a sigh of relief. Our strong and brave lady was finally back."We can't go in. The gate man shouted after he heard the stool collapse. Don't you remember." I said, gesturing with my hands."So what should we do now?" Emile asked."I don't know." I replied."You know what. Sometimes we just have to risk somet
My phone rang. I blinked rapidly as I struggled to keep my eyes open.My gaze landed on the alarm clock. 1:48am.That was still late in the night. Who on earth could be calling at such an hour.I stretched my hand backward and took my phone.I paused. Unknown number. I moved the call button to the right. "Hello." A thin feminine voice vibrated through my ear drum."Hello, who's this?" I asked."That's not necessary right now." I was reading outside my room when I saw Ivy walk out with something like a sharp object. Does she sleep walk?" The Lady explained."Nooo." I screamed out and dropped the phone on the bed.I quickly turned to the right to see whether Ivy was still on her bed.I froze, the lady was right. I rose up from my bed, fastened the buttons of my pajamas and walked towards Ivy's bed.Ivy wasn't there and the knife was....also gone.I ran towards Emile and tapped her."What is it, Clara?" She asked."Ivy and the knife is gone " I struggled to mutter. She quickly took the d
My legs ached as I hurried to the lecture room. I was back to school on Monday and I'd left home since Sunday.I took in a quick breath and walked into the class.Posters and fliers were everywhere about James Hunter, the celebrity king's birthday.Such a dumb ass, posting his upcoming birthday da
Time sped, I freshened up, wore a new cloth, and boarded a cab home.My hands trembled as I placed a knock on our house gate."Yes, who's there?" I heard the man's voice from behind the gate."It's me, Clara." I replied, gently tapping my canvas on the floor."Oooh welcome ma'am, your mom has been
My phone beeped repeatedly as I packed up some of my clothes. I woke up really late. I was busy thinking of what mom could possibly want to talk about and lost count of time.I sniffed. I need to be quick so I don't miss the train. The door creaked open and Emile stepped in."Are you for real, Cla
The hallway was full of students as usual. Different outfits. Different colognes. Different values. My legs ached as I hurried to the male's dorm. "Where are you off to?" The security man asked me immediately as I got to the dorm. "I forgot my textbook with my brother." I replied. I didn't hav
