LOGIN"No, ooo, ooo," I screamed out.
My eyelids flung open. My eyes scanned around. I was in my room. My heart thudded in my ears. I placed my hand on it. It was just a dream. I quickly sat up and looked at my fingers. It was just an almost real dream. I sniffed the air, smelt of sweat. I took in a deep breath and exhaled. My eyes bulged as the room door flung open. My gaze fell on Emile first, then my mom. "Are you alright?" they asked, almost at the same time. I swallowed hard and nodded my head. "I'm... fine." I struggled to respond. My bed creaked as they both sat beside me. "You screamed out of your sleep and now you are sweating this much and still you say you are fine." Emile questioned. I twisted my fingers together. "I'm fine, Emile." I responded again. "It was just a dream." I uttered. "Emile." Mom called out. "Yes, mother." Emile replied. "Can you just excuse us for a minute." Mom said. "Sure, mother." Emile replied and stood up from the bed. "I would be in my room preparing for campus." she voiced out before walking out of the room. My brows drew together. Campus? So early? I shifted my gaze at the wall clock. My breath hitched. 6:03am. My window curtains and the white led light didn’t make me realize it was already morning. "You look unsettled so early, Clara. This is not about the dream." Mother said, bringing me out of my thoughts. "I have a test, mother. By 7:49am." I voiced out. She shrugged. "There’s still enough time for you to prepare." she said. I opened my mouth to speak, but nothing came out. "That’s by the way; Emile told me about your mood yesterday. What happened?" she asked, her voice smooth and softened. I shut my eyelids and snapped it open almost immediately. "Nothing, mother. I just chose to be that way." I responded. "You are hiding something from me, Clara." she said. I blinked my eyelids repeatedly. "No, mother. I just chose to be." I repeated. "Alright then, get up and get ready for campus so you don’t miss your test, darling." Mother said, her face flashed a warm smile. "Alright mum." I said, forcing a smile. The dream kept replaying in my head as mother rode us to campus. Emile sat beside mother while I sat at the back seat. James’s dangerous words couldn’t just leave my mind. I wished I hadn’t gotten angry over Ethan’s words. I wished I hadn’t said those words to James Hunter. I jerked as I suddenly felt a tap on my lap. I raised my head. It was Emile. "Time to leave." She said, her lips curled up to a smile. I exhaled, clutched my handbag and hopped out of my mother’s car. I flung the handbag over my shoulder after shutting the door of the car. "Bye. Bye." Emile said, waving her hand. "Bye." I said, waving back at her. "Have a nice day, sweetie." Mother said. "I will, mother." I replied, forcing a smile for the second time. My gaze stuck to the car until I couldn’t see it again. I took in a quick breath before walking into the campus gate. My gaze ran around. There was no sign of him or his gang. Just normal students going on with their lives. My head ticked as screams and shouts suddenly erupted. I needed no one to tell me it was James Hunter. He was the only one that attracted screams from most students. "He’s here!" "His car is always next!" One of the lady walking past me uttered. Another lady gasped. "Ooh my God, he’s so handsome, I wish he belonged to me." She said, desire glowing all over her face. "You can’t even own him girl. Only a strong and hard hearted lady like me could take him, girl." Another lady said. I scoffed. What sort of ladies were this? I have heard enough of this. I covered my ears with my hands and began walking towards the hallway. "I wasn't going to look back." I muttered to myself. My hands hurt. I dropped it for a minute. "Wait, he’s wearing the shoe." One guy said, his eyes widened. My brows drew together. What's so special about a shoe. "Just a glance." I muttered to myself. I looked back but I was damn unlucky. My gaze met with his eyes. It bored a hole into mine and his cheeks curled up to that smile. The same style of smile in the dream. I quickly looked away. My heart sank. He was haunting me! My phone beeped. I opened my handbag, brought the phone out and it put on the screen. "Shit!" I voiced out. The time ticked, 7:40am already and I still hadn't found the group I was for the Chemistry test. My legs ached as I hurried towards the hallway, daring not to look back again. Time sped and I was finally done with the test. "Clara." My ears rang at Ivy's voice. I turned. Ivy was walking toward me fast. "How was your test?" she asked. "Fine?" I responded. "Ethan said he wants to join us while going home today." She mouthed. My stomach twisted. "No." The word came out sharp. Ivy frowned. "No?" "I'm going home alone." I said. "I have work to do." I said. I walked away before Ivy could talk. The sun was hot. My hand bag felt slack. And my eyes kept checking for black cars. My heart skipped a beat immediately my gaze landed on a familiar car. Parked by the roadside. Engine off. Tinted windows. My legs froze. The driver's door opened with a click. I was right! James Hunter stepped out, in black. He wasn't with his gang of guys this time. Leaning against the door, arms crossed. His jaw was tight and his eyes... his eyes were fixed on his phone. My throat went dry. I forced myself to walk past him. Head high. "Don't look." I muttered to myself. "Hiya." He said, his voice sharp like that of the dream. My throat bobbed as I continued walking. "Can we talk for a minute?" He voiced out. I stopped. My heart hammered. But I still didn't turn around. "Never seen a girl as brave as you." He voiced out.I rubbed my closed eyelids and gave out a loud yawn as I woke up from sleep. My gaze landed on Ivy and Emile. They were both still sleeping.I sat up and yawned again. Yesterday was freaking stressful. After the sweet long kiss, we ordered some stuffs for the party, and James also took me outing. My mom also called me a lot of times, to the point that I had to promise her I was coming home this weekend. That was the sole reason I woke up early.I rose up from my bed, wore my home slippers, and staggered to the bathroom.I exhaled as the cold water ran through my hands.I brushed my teeth and entered into the bathing tub.I switched it to warm water instead of the cold one.A broad smile appeared on my face as my head replayed what happened yesterday.I still can't believe I let that dick head kiss me.Oooh my gosh, the kiss was damn sweet.I had never gotten that type of kiss from Ethan before. He also took me outing to three different places.James is a guy that knows what a lady rea
I quickly drew my chair backward and scanned around to see who it was.My gaze fell on James. He wasn't squatting anymore; he was sitting on a chair next to me. So quick. My gaze finally fell on the person that called me.I placed my hand on my chest as I exhaled. It was the same lady that disrupted me in Physics Fundamental class.I didn't even remember her name."Yes... how may I help you?" I struggled to talk calmly."Just decided to say hi," she responded.I nodded my head a little. Her eyes showed otherwise. She had definitely seen us. I kept quiet, waiting for her to talk about what she saw.But instead, she looked at us for some seconds and finally stepped out.I blinked rapidly. She was a weirdo. I stared back at James. He was busy on his phone now."The review has been cancelled," James voiced out, his gaze still on his phone. Why was he behaving like nothing just happened?I blinked. Whatever. At least now I know that I'm not the only one feeling this way.It feels like a hu
His phone rang. My gaze fell on the caller: Sandra. That was a girl calling him. I shifted my gaze away from his phone before he noticed.I blinked rapidly as he stared at the caller briefly and shifted his gaze away.I swallowed. Wasn't he going to pick the call?I bit my bottom lip the minute the call ended.I focused my gaze back on the equipment when the phone rang again.I looked at him this time. He did the same again, stared at the screen for a few seconds, and looked away."Aren't you going to pick your call?" I asked, looking at him."No, don't worry about that," he muttered. The phone call came to an end again.I slightly nodded and looked back at the equipment the second time.Sooner than expected, the phone rang again.I took in a deep breath and released it. His phone's ringing tone was deafening, and I couldn't take it anymore."It's either you pick the call or I do, James," I said, trying to be serious. He looked up at me and burst into laughter.I knew he was laughing
My heart skipped a beat as I looked at Emile. "We don't need to get scared now. We can actually map this out but first we are going to take an oath." Emile said."Okay..okay." Ivy stammered, holding tight the hem of her pajamas.Suddenly I heard a faint voice calling my name.I gasped. Had they found out? I covered my ears with my two hands and shut my eyes.My breath hitched as I felt a tap on my shoulder.I snapped my eyes open. My gaze fell on Ivy. She was standing right next to me.I blinked. I was lying down on my bed. So it was all a dream.I heaved a sigh of relief and sat on the bed."What's wrong? You were talking and rolling on the bed." Ivy said."Did you go out yesterday's night?" I asked, ignoring her first question."You haven't answered my question, Clara." Ivy mouthed. My gaze fell on Emile, she was still sleeping."What's wrong with Emile? She’s still sleeping by this time." I said."I don't know. Ask her when she wakes up." Ivy said, with a smile."Hope we aren't ha
"What are you doing here!" The masculine voice vibrated through my system.I could even heat Ivy's heart best. "You guys can go." Emile said and turned back. What leave! How on earth was that going to be possible? We can't leave without her. I turned to ask her how we were going to survive leaving without her.My gaze landed on the guy. I froze. It was him.The rink guy I hit with a broken bottle at the party.I quickly turned back and ran alongside Ivy before he recognized me.I could hear Ivy running behind me. Faster than her also.I exhaled as I and Ivy got out of the male's dorm."We can't go back to the female's dorm now." I said."Why?" I heard Emile's voice.I breathed out a sigh of relief. Our strong and brave lady was finally back."We can't go in. The gate man shouted after he heard the stool collapse. Don't you remember." I said, gesturing with my hands."So what should we do now?" Emile asked."I don't know." I replied."You know what. Sometimes we just have to risk somet
My phone rang. I blinked rapidly as I struggled to keep my eyes open.My gaze landed on the alarm clock. 1:48am.That was still late in the night. Who on earth could be calling at such an hour.I stretched my hand backward and took my phone.I paused. Unknown number. I moved the call button to the right. "Hello." A thin feminine voice vibrated through my ear drum."Hello, who's this?" I asked."That's not necessary right now." I was reading outside my room when I saw Ivy walk out with something like a sharp object. Does she sleep walk?" The Lady explained."Nooo." I screamed out and dropped the phone on the bed.I quickly turned to the right to see whether Ivy was still on her bed.I froze, the lady was right. I rose up from my bed, fastened the buttons of my pajamas and walked towards Ivy's bed.Ivy wasn't there and the knife was....also gone.I ran towards Emile and tapped her."What is it, Clara?" She asked."Ivy and the knife is gone " I struggled to mutter. She quickly took the d
The knock came harder now than the previous ones.I stared at Ivy and Emile but they both gave me that look. They weren't expecting any one either.I summoned courage and walked up to the door. Even if it was James, it won't really be that bad.I took in a quick breath and released it. I flung op
I walked to the door of the mini hall, took in a deep breath and stepped in.James had earlier texted him to meet in the hall for preparation.Though I am still wondering how he got my number. Such a mysterious guy.My eyes landed on him but he wasn't alone, he was with his friends. They were a gro
Ethan's POVI slung my cross bag over my head and stood up.I needed to get to my room fast, really quick.Dad had sent me a text to call him when I got to my room.A smirk appeared on my face, I still wonder how Clara got to my bathroom a few days past. She was the worst stalker I'd ever seen. But
My legs ached as I hurried to the lecture room. I was back to school on Monday and I'd left home since Sunday.I took in a quick breath and walked into the class.Posters and fliers were everywhere about James Hunter, the celebrity king's birthday.Such a dumb ass, posting his upcoming birthday da
