Chapter 32

Azure’s heart racing and his mind reeling. He had just had the most confusing conversation with Francine, the woman he knew was his fated mate. She had confessed her love for him, and although he felt the same way, he couldn't bring himself to admit it. Not yet, anyway.

And then there was Fiona, his teammate. But tonight, she had crossed a line. She had kissed him, and worst of all, Francine had seen it. Azure was furious, and he had no qualms about letting Fiona know.

"What were you thinking, Fiona?" he yelled as soon at her when he came back to his senses. "How could you do that?"

Fiona's face crumpled, and she burst into tears. "I'm sorry," she sobbed. "I… I just love you so much, Azure. I just got caught up in the moment."

Azure snorted. "Caught up in the moment? Is that supposed to be some kind of excuse? You have no right to steal my first kiss! That's something special, something that should be shared with the woman I love!”
