I dig into my food, the sounds of cutlery filling the silence. I had to say, although the price was too much, the taste was also exceptionally good. I normally didn’t like salads, why have salads when you can have the greasy goodness; but I didn’t mind this one.
It hadn’t even been 5 minutes since we started eating, and some guy in a suit walked towards our booth. I looked at him with confusion. He didn’t even bother giving me a look, but rather, went straight towards Gabrielle.
Gabrielle whispered something in his ears, and he nodded, his expression not giving anything away. He took the file from Gabrielle’s hand and walked away.
“He will get our contract ready in a few minutes.” Gabrielle filled me in. I gave him a slight nod. I was left wondering when he had called the guy.

I hear my phone vibrate in my pocket. I ignore it and get back to making lecture notes. My phone vibrates again in succession.
