Chapter 38
I hear my phone vibrate in my pocket. I ignore it and get back to making lecture notes. My phone vibrates again in succession. I frown, wondering who was it that was texting me at 8:30 in the morning.
Having your phone vibrate against your leg was a weird feeling. It made my legs tickle whenever it did so. I wanted to take my phone out of my pocket and check who it was that was texting me now. I resisted the urge to do so and continued with the class.

As soon as the class was over, I whipped out my phone and checked my phone.
Beautiful eyes: ‘ Are you free tonight?’
My eyebrows furrowed. Who was beautiful eyes? It took me a minute to remember that I had saved Gabrielle’s number as beautiful eyes. I quickly texted him back.
Me: ‘Yeah. What time?’
He replies back after a minute.
Beautiful eyes: ‘Around 7. ‘
I could feel my heart beating.

Usually, I would have done it, but I didn’t really know where to go, and a part of me was scared of what was out there.I move towards the door and grab the handle. I politely smile at the people while Gabrielle leads me further into the hall. The hall was so huge that it made even a crowd like this look small. I wanted to duck my head, but wherever we went, I could feel the stares in my back.The stares weren’t much directed at me but at Gabrielle. People looked at him as though he was the king of a large country. I guess he kind of was in a way in the world of business.
