Pero mas nagulantang ako nang maramdaman kong may mali—like, something felt seriously off..
Wait lang…
Parangg may mali...
Bakit ang bigat-bigat ng katawan ko? And why does it feel so sore… down there?
Napakurap ako, then I looked around the room. Putcha, this isn’t my room. Minimalist setup, all neutral tones, with a faint smell of expensive cologne and alcohol. Shit. Shit. Shit.
Napalunok ako as a realization slowly started creeping in—one that I seriously didn’t want to accept.
Mabilis kong hinablot ang kumot, covering my body. Please lang, huwag naman sana. Please tell me this isn’t what I think it is.
Slowly, I turned to my left.
Oh. My. Freaking. God.
Napako ako sa akingg pwesto, staring at him like my brain just blue-screened.
The real issue was… I KNEW HIM.
Well, technically, hindi naman kami personally magkakilala, pero he's definitely not just some random guy.
Drew Veltrano!
OH. MY. GOD.
Napapikit ako, sabay sapo sa noo—like that would magically erase everything. Pero hindi.
Out of all the guys I could’ve had a one-night stand with…
He’s the literal black sheep of the Spiridakou family. His name is always tied to women, scandals, and nonstop drama. Never siyang nag-alala sa reputasyon ng pamilya nila—kaya nga halos weekly siyang nasa front page ng mga tabloid, always spotted with models, socialites, and sometimes, may chismis pang pati mga married women tinatarget niya.
The last thing I heard, he was in Okada Casino, gambling, partying, and basically living his best bachelor life.
And yet, here we were.
And I just made the biggest mistake of my life.
Wala nang silbi ang pagsisisi. What’s done is done.
Ang pinakaimportante ngayon? Makaalis bago siya magising.
I had no idea he was the Drew I was talking to last night. Of all freaking people?! Usually, the women he dates are the high-society type—super classy, modelesque, and practically living on magazine covers. Meanwhile, me? Let’s be real, our paths would’ve never crossed if not for last night’s wedding.
agad kong ini-scan ang kwarto, desperately looking for my clothes—pero nung makita kong nagkalat ‘yon sa sahig, kasama ng wedding suit niya...
Oh my God. Were we that wild?!
Napalunok ako, feeling the heat creep up my cheeks habang dahan-dahang binaba ang paa ko mula sa kama. No way in hell na magbibihis ako sa harap niya—kahit pa tulog na tulog siya.
Never in my wildest dreams ko gagawin yun no!
Kaya maingat kong pinulot ang gown ko, but then I froze.
Asan na yung panty ko?!
Ginalugad ko ‘yung sahig, hinawi ‘yung nakatambak niyang damit, but still… nothing. What the hell?!
Tangina. Wala na akong oras. I need to get the hell out of here… kahit walang underwear!
Pero kahit naka bihis na ako, I still felt half-naked.
Napatingin ako sa salamin…
Oh. My. God.
I looked exactly like someone who just had a wild night—which, let’s be real, happened.
Putangina.
And the worst part?
"Trying to escape, sweetheart?" He whispered, with a lazy yet amused smirk.
I swallowed hard, instantly feeling my face heat up all the way to my ears. I couldn’t even look at him directly.
"Uh… good morning?"
Napatawa siya, iniiling ang ulo."So this is what it feels like to be one of the women I leave sleeping in bed."
Wait, anong ibig niyang sabihin?
"You almost got away, huh? If I hadn’t woken up."
I swallowed again.
Oh shit. This is not how I planned my escape.
"Again, sorry for waking you up. Hindi ko naman sinadya." I forced myself to keep my tone cool. kahit na hindi ko magawang tumingin sa kanya nang diretso."Just go back to sleep if you want. I’ll just grab my purse and heels, then I’m out of here."
Putanginang yan.
"I don't know if it's intentional, but you're hurting my ego, Babe."
"Lexie," I corrected quickly, still unable to look at him.
"I wanna call you babe," he interjected, frowning. "But if you don’t like it, I’ll just call you 'Lex' instead."
Napataas ang kilay ko. "Ha?
"Good," he said smugly. "Then it would be my pet name for you."
I winced. Pet name?!
"But—" Before I could even finish my sentence, I glanced at him and—shit.
I quickly looked away again.
"What’s the point of covering up? You already saw everything last night."
"That was different! I was drunk! I didn’t care about your naked body then! But now, I’m sober, and it’s embarrassing, okay?!"
…but he wasn’t exactly decent—like, bro, his dick was literally outlined in his boxers.
Focus, Lexie. Huwag kang tumingin. Focus!
"Uh… did you see my underwear?"
Bigla siyang umiwas ng tingin. "Hmm? Maybe it’s just around here. Did you check properly?"
"Are you sure you even wore one last night?"
Napataas ang kilay ko. "Excuse me?!"
"Well," pinagkrus niya ang mga braso sa dibdib, nagkukunwaring seryoso, "some girls just don’t bother wearing—"
"Drew!!" Napairap ako. "Anong klaseng tanong 'yan?
Napakagat ako sa labi, trying not to freak out. Then my eyes landed on the bed—specifically, on the faint bloodstains on the sheets.
Oh. My. God.
"Uh… sorry about your bed."
The moment our eyes met, I caught the subtle shift in his expression. But instead of saying anything, he just gave me that knowing smirk before replying—
"Don't worry. I'm more than happy to be your first."
My entire face heated up again.
He glanced over his shoulder, his gaze landing on the bloodstains I was referring to. Instead of reacting with discomfort, he simply shrugged.
"Don't mind it. I'll just throw the sheets later."
Napakunot ang noo ko. "You can do that?"
"Yeah. I own this place. I can throw out whatever I want."
"Oh." Siyempre. Muntik ko nang makalimutan. Their family owned this entire island. Hindi na dapat ako magtaka. I should’ve realized this last night—especially with the way he moved in the dark like he knew every inch of this place.
He ran a hand through his already-messy hair before smirking. "You know what? I'll just check if my younger sister has some extra underwear in her closet."
"You can't be serious!"
DREW VELTRANO"Please, sir," I almost begged, my voice shaky. "I’ll do anything. Just give me a chance to prove myself, to show you that I’m serious about Cass. I can leave my photography career and work full-time in the business—just like Loukas. Please, just let me prove my love for her."He looked at me, his expression serious. "In another time, Drew, I would’ve gladly accepted you as a son. But the truth is, things are more complicated than you think. The past always has a way of catching up with us, and it’s better to let it stay where it belongs. The Vitalis and Spiridakous families are too intertwined."My brows furrowed. "What do you mean by that?"He shook his head dismissively. "It’s not something worth discussing. But listen to me, Drew. I’ll give you time to break things off with Cassie. But know that when the time comes, I will introduce her to a man who is more... suitable for her future."Hearing those words felt like a punch to the gut. The idea that the man I loved an
DREW VELTRANOThe next morning, all I could think about was meeting Lexie's father before his flight back to Greece. I knew how busy he was, and I was grateful that he agreed to meet me in his hotel room before his flight. But things didn’t go as I expected. I thought our announcement would be met with support from both of our families, but I guess I was too optimistic. We got the same reaction from my mom and Lexie's dad—both against it. It was a hard pill to swallow, but I was determined to talk to Spiro Vitalis, to show him that my intentions toward his daughter were genuine.I might not have been the kind of man he’d envisioned for his only child, considering my past, but I promised him that Lexie was the only woman I’ve ever loved. No one could love her more than I did.The thought of that beautiful woman I left behind in my apartment this morning made my chest ache. I needed to reassure her that everything would be fine. We just had to make our parents understand that we were se
LEXIEThe day of my birthday had finally arrived. The celebration was going to be intimate, just a few close people at my penthouse later that night. At first, my dad—who flew all the way from Greece—wanted the venue to be in a fancy hotel ballroom, with a large crowd like the one we had for my last birthday. But I insisted I wanted this year to be different, just a cozy gathering with family and friends. As usual, he gave in. It’s always been that way—since I was little, it was common knowledge that my dad, Theo, couldn’t say no to his only daughter. Some people thought I was a spoiled princess, especially since my widower father always gave me whatever I wanted. For a while, I probably was that girl. But as I started working, standing on my own, I learned that happiness doesn’t always come from buying the latest shoes or handbags. It was Calix who made me realize that. I watched him cook breakfast for us that morning while I sat at the kitchen island, just staring at him. He wasn’t
This year, I decided to keep it simple and intimate—gagawin sa penthouse ko mamayang gabi with just family and a few close friends. The man who changed me without even trying.
DREW"Drew!" Lexie hissed, squirming slightly in my arms. Her cheeks were flushed pink with embarrassment. "Ano ka ba? Nakatingin sila!"I glanced down at her worried eyes and smirked. "Hayaan mo silang tumingin." I tightened my hold around her waist possessively. Wala akong balak itago ka."She sucked in a sharp breath, clearly conscious of the looks we were getting from the other guests. Her fingers lightly gripped my chest, silently begging me to behave."Gets ko naman," she mumbled. Exhibit mo ’to, Drew. Hindi date night."I chuckled lowly before leaning down to whisper in her ear, my lips barely brushing her skin. "Too bad…" I purred huskily. And right now…" I bit her earlobe teasingly, making her shiver slightly. "I'm so damn tempted to ditch this event and take you home."Her ey
DREWBigla siyang umiwas ng tingin, halatang nag-aalangan. "U-Uh... wala. Kalimutan mo na ‘yung sinabi ko," she mumbled nervously. Then, with a sudden shift, she cupped my cheek and forced a smile. Her eyes softened. "…I just want to say how proud I am of this exhibit."Bago pa ako makasagot, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving me staring after her. Napakunot-noo ako, replaying her cryptic words in my head. Ano bang ibig sabihin niya?I was about to follow her, but bago pa ako makagalaw, napapalibutan na ako ng mga guests na sabik makipag-usap sa’kin. I was stuck with these people, forced to entertain them even when my mind was elsewhere.I grabbed a flute of champagne from a passing waiter and downed it in one go, hoping the bubbles would ease my irritation. This exhibit wasn’t turning out the way I imagined.Napatigi
DREW’S POVI pressed my lips against hers again, stealing another kiss like a man starved. *God, I could never get enough of her.* *"Yes,"* I rasped against her mouth, my voice low and rough. *"And just so you know… that’s impossible."* Her brows furrowed slightly. *"What do you mean?"* she
DREW’S POVI took a long swig of my drink, the burn of the alcohol barely registering anymore. No fucking way am I letting that happen. She was mine now.And I’d be damned if I let some other bastard take her away from me—especially my cousin.Luke will have to step over my dead body first before h
Lexie’s POVIt had been a week since I started avoiding Drew.Yeah, call me stupid, pero wala akong pakialam. The moment I realized I was slowly falling for him, takot ang nauna. Takot na baka bumagsak na naman ako sa parehong bangin na pinaglaglagan ko noon.I had to remind myself: You’ve been her
Drew's Pint of View"Oh? What a coincidence. You know, my daughter, Lexie, is also staying in New York now for her first job. Though I miss her, I know she wants to pursue a career in Manhattan, and that’s why I let her do the things she likes.""Is that so?" I pretended to be surprised, knowing he
