LOGINEdward walked inside his villa with a smile after another night of smuggling at the club.
"Mom," he uttered in shock, seeing his mom sitting on the cushion, his life almost left him.
"What are you doing here, Mom, instead of being at your husband's mansion?"
"You look scared," Old Mrs Yates pointed out.
"You are funny, Mom," Edward gave out an awkward laugh. "You are in my house, so why should I be scared?" He stood his ground.
Mrs Yates stood and walked to him, touching his hair gently.
"You are really scaring me now, Mom," Edward fidgeted.
"I just missed you, and at the same time I really want to have a conversation with you," she said with a calm voice, retreating her hands.
"What do you want to talk about, Mom? Don't worry, if you need anything, you can always ask the maids and they will get it for you."
"Which maids are you talking about? Because right now I am not seeing any of them."
Yes, indeed, something really felt off. The maids are always lined up waiting for him to come back to make his selection as to who would accompany him to bed, but right now he wasn't seeing any of them. "Where are my girls, Mom?" He asked, alerted.
"Which girls, Edward? I didn't know you had a girl."
"Don't act as if you don't know what I am asking about, Mom. Why haven't I seen them around?"
"I sent them away," Old Mrs Yates said without apology. "You kept fifteen girls to warm your bed without giving me a grandson, huh? You claim that women are a whole lot, but yet you keep so many of them."
"If your father behaved like you, do you think you would be standing here today?
Get ready, your marriage alliance with the Hanthons will be holding during the weekend."
"I never said that I would be marrying the Hanthon's heiress, Mom," Edward refused immediately.
"There is no room for refusal, Edward. You are already thirty-three this year and you are still single. This type of atrocity has never been recorded in the Yates history and it can never start with you.
Your father must really be disappointed in me from wherever he is right now."
"I never said I wasn't going to give you a grandson. You are just being too impatient, and that is not good for your health," Edward stated.
"You are already crossing your limit by coming to my house and sending my workers away. Is that how it is done now, Mom?
I am being impatient, right? Since when did you promise me that? You haven't even gotten married yet, talk more of giving me a grandson anytime soon."
"Relax, Mom, who said I haven't found a wife yet?"
Mrs Yates scoffed.
"You don't believe me?" Edward continued.
"You can ask Donald or Christopher. I have really found one, just that she is still rejecting me. How is it my fault that the lady I truly want doesn't rate me? Trust me, Mom, once I have her agree to me, I will introduce her to you.
So you don't really have to go through all this stress for me, and since I already have someone in mind, I think it will be better to cancel any form of marriage alliance with the Hanthons."
"How do you want me to believe that there is a lady out there refusing to be the young mistress of the Yates? You are not just serious with your intentions.
And not yet. I won't call off the marriage alliance until I see your marriage certificate and you prove me otherwise," Mrs Yates stated.
"And note, you cannot fool me again with a fake marriage registration. I will make sure to call every court district in New York to make sure that the marriage certificate is valid. After then will I call off the engagement."
"Sure, Mom, trust me," Edward nodded in agreement. "But, Mom, when will you be going back to your husband's mansion? Keeping an elderly woman around isn't really my thing."
"You must have really lost it, Edy, but sorry to disappoint you, I won't be going back anytime soon," Elder Yates stated flatly before walking upstairs.

Emily walked into the shopping mall after getting her hair done, her curly hair bounced at every beat with every step she took inside the mall.
She had browsed the type of ladies Adrian loved and the internet had proven that all his exes had curly hair and always dressed in red.
She wasn't going to miss out on any detail as she ordered the waitress to pack up every red dress within her size and packaged them all for her.
She was really impressed and satisfied with herself. She wasn't sure of the last time she had spent so much on herself.
Ooh... Yeah... She remembered. That was when she had travelled to Singapore back then just to get an autograph from Adrian.
With a little tip, the waitress helped her carry her tons of packages inside her car trunk and she drove off.
The waitress stared at the huge amount of tip on her hands and happiness filled her face as she rushed back inside.
By the time Emily arrived home, there were already five workers waiting for her at home, and under her command and guidance, they began rearranging and arranging her stuff perfectly inside tons of standby boxes, and within an hour they were done and ready to set off.
She handed a stack of cash to each of them and they left happily. The next set of workers walked in together with the driver she hired and a house agent.
The workers quickly took all her belongings out.
"Are you sure you really want to sell this property, Miss Parker? Wouldn't it be much better if you place it on lease section rather?" Her lawyer asked.
Emily smiled. "I don't need it, Mr Smith. I am in for a new beginning and I won't bargain with my happiness."
"If you say so, Miss," Mr Smith took a step back to the house agent.
Emily sold her house immediately on the spot, leaving nothing out.
As the car moved, to her she was only leaving behind every negativity and old life behind while going to embrace something new.
A new life, just that this time around, it isn't going to be a life filled with loneliness but a life filled with sweetness and love with Adrian by her side.
She checked inside the plane and after a few minutes the plane took off to Singapore.
Edward sat among his friends, Donald and Christopher.
"Your face isn't so bright today, Edy, and you don't have a woman accompanying you today, I hope you are good?" Christopher noticed, grabbing the attention of Edward together with Donald.
"Of course he can't be okay," Donald laughed. "He is feeling depressed having his mom around. I really pity him, though. It is not more than a day and he is looking drained."
"Both of you should stop your stupid talks," Edward's annoyed voice came. "Must you guys make noise all the time?"
"Yeah, Christopher, we shouldn't be making noise. He really got mouth to speak but couldn't say a word when he was bathed with a glass of wine," Donald spoke with a serious face but ended up bursting into serious laughter.
"I can't believe that I almost forgot," Christopher laughed. "I should really play the video much often until every scene is embedded inside my memory."
"Are you guys done having fun?" Edward asked.
"Not yet," Donald answered and they burst into another laughter.
"I told my mom that I will be getting married soon," Edward said.
"You did what?" Donald turned serious.
"Yes, she threatened to form a marriage alliance for me and that is the last thing I want at this moment," Edward explained.
"So who are you intending on getting married to?" Christopher asked. "You really need an understanding lady."
"I know," Edward said. "And that is why I must marry that Emily girl.
She is in a proper fit and wouldn't want to destroy her body just to bore children for a man, and I believe that is the reason she has refused to get married."
Donald and Christopher burst into laughter.
"I am not joking, guys," Edward wasn't finding it funny.
"We are not also joking. It is kind of funny believing that Ms Parker will agree to marry you after the impression you left on her," Christopher said.
"And not only that, I heard that Ms Emily just left the city, blocking her old business account," Donald stated.
"Why?" Christopher and Edward's voices came at the same time.
"She left New York to which city?" Edward asked. "I mean, why would she be leaving New York?""I wouldn't know that," Christopher said immediately, raising his hands up.Edward turned to Donald."Me neither, but there is a rumor on the social media that she was travelling to Singapore, although the source isn't verified," Donald spoke."To Singapore?" Edward smirked.Donald and Christopher exchanged a glance."Don't tell me you are going to go after her to Singapore," Christopher voiced out in curiosity.

"I am never going to be Mr Yates' wife, Mom. Dad," Sandra was at the peak of tears."If I could really do it, I would have done it, but going into the Yates family is just like committing suicide.I am your daughter and heir to the company, my life is worth gold. Emily is really in the perfect fit to go into the marriage alliance with the Yates. She is bold and is familiar with different men, so I am sure she will know how to keep the dog in place.I am not trying to badmouth my sister, but I am really scared, Dad.""Calm down, Sandra, I won't be marrying you off to the Yates," Mr Hanthon spoke and then turned to his wife. "Why isn't Emily here yet? Didn't I ask you to go get her?If she refuses to come by herself, we will then hire street thugs to drag her here. She knows how to play around with men but doesn't know how to pay respect to her family.I really wonder if she is my daughter or a street rag picked from the hospital. She can't learn from her younger sister and be reserved
"I think it's her, what is she doing in a place like this" Christopher asked surprised."Who is that?" Edward lazily asked unbothered by whosoever that they were talking about."Emily Parker, you are so familiar with girls dude how come you haven't heard of her Edward? She is really a full package with a pretty face" Donald answered. She had dated a lot of men since her twenties, although they are so many rumors around it that she had always dated for money and ends up leaving her prey once she had sucked them dry.Edward finally opened his eyes giving the lady beside him a signal to stop. "Interesting" he said and what else?"Don't tell me you already have your eyes on her Edward, I don't think you would stand a chance. After hearing that she was into rich heirs who was ready to spend endlessly on her, I decided to give a shot but she didn't spare me a glance talk more of giving me a rejection " Donald explained.Edward scoffed. "So she rejected you ?" He asked to confirm."I am sure
The doorbell rang, jolting Emily off the couch."Who is that? So early in the morning, I have already retired. Can't I really have a moment of peace? I wasn't the one that asked you guys to cheat on your partners. What does that have to do with me, huh? I was only doing my job," she rolled on the floor, whining. She ran her hand roughly through her hair in frustration.Everyone thought that Miss Emily Parker really had the perfect life, but what they didn't know was that there was nothing like a perfect life. They envied her but never knew that there was always a price she had to pay.She stood and walked to the computer screen and, seeing those familiar faces standing outside her door, her hands hit her forehead, resetting her brain. She immediately turned to her room and rushed back, making sure to clear every trace of alcohol or junk at sight and re-arranging her couch, tossing the remaining fried chicken and popcorn under her couch in a hurry. She didn't forget to arrange her hair
"Emily Parker, I promise you, you won't get away with this," Tony swore furiously after Emily had broken up with him, ripping him dry out of his pocket.Days ago they were really cool and were literally the best couple in town. Going on different vacations and having so much fun.Tony had actually thought that he had found the love of his life this time around and was grateful he had broken up with his three-year girlfriend. How would he have known that he had only jumped into fire?He could only watch in pain and in vengeance as his empire built on years of hard work collapsed before him in debt. He was really foolish trying to impress a woman he didn't even know her origin or where she came from. The only thing he could remember was meeting her at a club that night. Her elegance was able to draw him in that he lost his mind. She looked so divinely beautiful, like an angel that God designed specially for him and gave to him.But now, not only had she left him in his crisis, she had c
