Prologue
In love many people marry for love, fame, money or because they were forced to marry by their families, like in Rosalie and Roman’s case.
Roman’s phone began ringing waking Rosalie from her slumber, she tried to turn only to find herself wrapped in Roman’s arms, she had fallen asleep in Roman’s bed!!
How did she end up here?
She slowly rose from his bed and walked out of the room before Roman woke.
Rosalie couldn’t stop the memory of the previous night from coming, she blushed when she remembered what happened the night before. It had been her first time.
Roman and her had been married for four months and this was the first time they’ve been intimate. And she fled to her room before he could wake up and tell her off.
Rosalie’ actions and his phone ringing woke Roman.
His head was throbbing, and his mouth was dry.
As he opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was Rosalie slipping out of his room. Even though it was just a snippet her could clearly see her naked skin. She’d sneaked out of his room, stark naked, he could see love marks, from his fingers digging into her backside as he made love to her more than once the night before.
Anger rose from deep within him. someone could have been in the damn hall as she slipped out of the room.
Snippets from the night before started returning to his mind. He remembered his meeting with his right-hand man and then drinking too much at the club where Selena once again tried to seduce him, he came home and his wife after spending the day with his sister had rushed to kiss him as he entered the door. She practically jumped into his arms, she was kissing him, her hands were peeling his shirt off before he could register what his sweet innocent wife was up to.
Roman couldn’t focus only anything else but pleasing his wife and that’s exactly what he did.
His brows furrowed. His eyes scanning his bedroom, he took in the mess on the bed, discarded underwear at the foot of his bed, knocked over lamp shattered on the floor from when he knocked it over as he tried to throw Rosalie on the bed.
Roman couldn’t blame the alcohol the night before, he couldn’t blame Rosalie, she was a virgin, well until last night. He couldn’t even remember if he was gentle with her. He’d been thinking about bedding his wife for months. The throbbing in his head prevented him from thinking about anything else but how much he’d enjoyed last night. Finally bedding his wife. From the moment he brought her into his house he wanted to bed her.
God how long has he been dreaming about this? For it to finally happen? He didn’t know how he felt about their first time to be while he was too drunk to control himself.
Roman’s eyes darkened as he clenched the blanket. Did he hurt her?
Fuck he didn’t scare her, did he?
The next second, he yanked it open and he got out of bed and grabbed a robe before he made his way to his wife’s bedroom, throwing open her bedroom door, his face passive he took her in, she was standing in front of her bedroom mirror looking at the marks from their love making. Marks he left on her skin.
Roman’s breath hitched. He couldn’t believe this was what Rosalie has been hiding behind the overalls she’s always sporting.
Rosalie stunned him by turning to him not trying to cover herself from him.
Both Rosalie and Roman have been married for about four months. However, it was not a marriage of love, while the public knew they married because their families wanted more power. Rosalie knew her sister manipulated not only Roman but her parents into believing this marriage was the best for everyone, while it benefitted no one but Elena.
For the first month of their marriage, Rosalie and Roman had been avoiding one another. They were practically roommates and not a married couple. Until Selena came into their lives and Rosalie began to play the role as a doting wife and keeping her husband’s mistress in her place where she belonged.
Something about Rosalie called to Roman, something about how she tortured Selena resonated with something deep within him.
“Want to talk about what happened last night wife?” Roman asks in a low voice, trying to keep the lust out of his voice.
He worried about hurting her, if he grabbed her and had his way with her after she lost her virginity last night.
A sweet smile played on Rosalie’s lips; her face marred with the sweet innocent look she’d given him a hundred times before. But something about her giving it now turned him on more than it did before. Was it because she was butt naked in front of him?
Rosalie walked up to Roman and pulled at the strings of his robe.
Roman’s hands twitched but he stopped himself from lifting her into his arms.
Rosalie’s eyes went down to his length; he was rock hard.
Her smile wasn’t sweet anymore. “I can see why it was so easy for Selena to seduce you.” She says before walking away from him.
Roman angrily grabbed her arm and yanked her back. He pushed her against the bedroom wall. His fingers around her neck. After a long while.
“Don’t ever speak to me like that again…” Roman warned.
A dark smile played on Rosalie’s lips. “Harder…” she purred.
Startled by her request Roman tightened his fingers around her throat.
“God you’re playing with fire Rosie…” he groaned.
“Let me burn then…” she says softly.
Roman shakes his head a lazy smile on his face. “You truly are just for, aren’t you?” he asked no one in particular.
Sometimes he wondered how Rosalie could be cute and innocent one second and match his freak the next second.
God, both turned him on.
Refer to prologue...Roman shakes his head a lazy smile on his face. “You truly are just you, aren’t you?” he asked no one in particular. She was so unapologetically her all the time. She didn’t care if no one liked her. He liked that about her.Sometimes he wondered how Rosalie could be cute and innocent one second and match his freak the next second.God, both turned him on. Before her cute side used to annoy him. But after seeing her threaten and nearly killed his former lover. Rosalie was crawled deep under his skin. She affected him in ways he couldn’t quite explain. In a way no other woman has ever affected him.His wife was batshit crazy and it’s what he liked about her.Just then, Roman seemed to have remembered something. His eyes lowered slightly. Exerting more strength, he pulled Rosalie’s chin upwards. Lifting her face, he stared into her eyes. “Rosalie you’re playing with fire...” he warns. He wanted to kill and kiss her all together. Rosalie was the most infuriating wom
Chapter 22Charlotte spent the last few days meticulously observing Ezra, Volkan’s supposed wife, a woman who radiated an unsettling aura of fragility and controlled fury. She couldn't control her anger when it came to this woman either. She wasn't sure if she was angry for her or with her. Ezra’s story, of a love-struck naive girl, swept off her feet by a charismatic mafia boss, was riddled with inconsistencies, tiny cracks in the carefully constructed façade. It started with a seemingly insignificant detail: a faint, almost imperceptible smudge of dried blood on the collar of Ezra's silk blouse during their first meeting. Blood that didn't match Ezra's own type, a fact Charlotte had discreetly confirmed through a sample obtained during a seemingly accidental brush of her hand against Ezra's arm. Then there were the inconsistencies in Ezra’s side of the story. The dates of her supposed relationship with Volkan, didn’t align with Volkan’s known whereabouts during that time. Photogra
Chapter 21Selena wondered if anyone would be sad if their dear princess was killed by food poisoning? She laughed at the mere thought of how perfect her plan was. Fion Rossi told her about Nightshade. No one knew who she was and if she belonged to a family. Her plan was perfect she kept her phone on to hear about the news of Rosalie Bianchi’s death. Chapter 20Charlotte followed Alessandro into the bathroom when she heard the water running. Watching him fuss and the confused look his gaze held as he threw bubble bath, essential oils and bath salts into the water. She couldn’t help but smile. She’d never seen him so out of his element. He turns and sees her, he frowns at her smile, but pulls her to him, he helps her out of the shirt she was wearing. He picks her up off the floor and gently drops her into the tub, he takes off his own shirt and sits behind her in the bath.“I’ve never had a warm bath before. It’s oddly soothing. Is this why women love baths?” he asks.Charlotte scoffs. “Baths are nice yes, but baths are dangerous because you could fall asleep in it...” she comments. This bath was feeling more romantic than sexy like he’d mentioned before. She was seeing a softer side of her husband. She couldn’t figure out if it was her who brought it out in him or if he had always been like this. Before they got married Alessandro

Chapter 18Roman was growing impatient as he listened to the bastard who stole from him rattle on and on about how he didn’t steal from him. How he was framed. Roman didn’t believe a word out of the fools mouth. Nothing he said was worth listening to. He deserved a bullet in the head for his troubles. Rosalie was set to return to Chicago today, he didn’t want to be stuck here when she returned.Roman sends the bastard a bored look. He didn’t want to be here longer than he needed to. Rosalie would return any minute now, he wanted the blood off the walls before his wife returned. He wasn’t sure how she’d react to blood on the walls.“Roman you’ve got to believe me. I didn’t steal from you. Warner did. He has been around the warehouse for months, running his mouth about how he just got a big pay day. You have to believe me. I didn’t do this...” Roman pauses. He looks past the man tied to the metal chair in front of him. there’s a double knock on the wall. Roman nods. He looks back
