Alpha kaden stood on the balcony of the big pack house, staring down at the playing children, their giggles and screams filled the air which made a light smile escape his lips.

This was what he always wanted__ a peaceful environment.

He felt light taps on his leg, looking down, he saw his little son looking up at him with those his big brown eyes. His face softened a bit as he crouched down to the little boy's height.

" Papa, I can't find mum" the boy said with his mouth pursed.

" Mummy's here" a lady's voice shrieked from behind taking the boy's little hand in hers before kaden could open his mouth to talk.

" Looking for me?" She grinned at the boy who nodded before snuggling into his mother's embrace.

She gave him a gentle pat on his head before forwarding her gaze at the man who just stood stoic watching them.

" Kaden?, I've been thinking." she paused." Why don't we hang out,,,hmm, I mean have a little family picnic?" she asked.

" Just us" she added. An awkward silence ensued for some minutes before the man opened his mouth.

" You know I have a lot of pending issues daria, I can't risk time just for a picnic." he said turning to look at the now quiet environment.

The playing pups seemed to have been taken by their parents.

" Are you done settling the issue between Lord Damien and his wife?" Kaden said quietly almost sounding like a whisper.

" Trying to change the topic again?, what's wrong with us kaden, can't we be a happy couple just for a day, huh?" Daria asked hurtfully.

The door opened and a tall, handsome man walked in.

" I'll take Genova away, you wouldn't want him to see you two quarreling in his presence." Cole, kaden's beta who was standing near the door side cut in, chuckling nervously as he took the boy in his arms.

" No, let him see, let him see the way his father's treating his mother." Daria half yelled.

" And how many times have I told you to stop butting in Cole, is there any other thing attached to it?" she asked glaring at cole with flaring nostrils.

" I'm sorry, I was just being concerned my lady" cole said bowing slightly.

" Mind your business and use the door" she scoffed rolling her eyes as cole walked out.

" Know the way you speak to Cole, he's still my beta, treat him the same way you treat me, let's get ready for the picnic" Kaden said earning a slight glare from Daria

" Picnic? Really?, After successfully ruining my mood, go ahead with the picnic all by yourself" Daria sneered, storming out angrily.

*Later in the day*

In Daria's suite, Kaden stood beside daria's bed as he watched her back.

" I know you aren't sleeping daria, stop behaving childishly and let's get on with..." He paused as he saw daria standing up from the bed.

" Leave me alone, Alpha kaden" she said folding her arms.

" And why would I leave you alone, Luna daria." Kaden said teasingly.

Daria grinned, this was the other side of this man she always loved.

She giggled again remembering the way he referred to her as his luna even though she...she immediately removed that thought from her mind.

Yes! She was his Luna, of course.

She spared him a loving glance again before rushing into the bathroom to fix herself up.

" I'll be right back, don't you dare take your words back alpha" she yelled from the bathroom.

A CLINIC IN AMERICA

" Aunt umbrie!!" A little blue eyed girl squealed as she rushed into the arms of a lady.

" How's my crystal doing?" The lady, umbrie asked.

" Very fine" The little girl replied happily as she swung her long blonde hair.

" Where's mummy, doll?" Umbrie asked the little girl who cocked her head to the side like she was thinking.

" Umm, she said she'd be right back, but I think she's stayed away for more than an hour now" Crystal said checking the little wristwatch on her wrist.

Umbrie watched her amusingly before pecking her lightly on the cheeks.

" I know I'm too pretty to ignore Aunt" Crystal said rather smugly.

" You don't need a DNA to prove you're your mother's daughter, huhn?" The girl giggled, while umbrie smiled watching the little girl who looked just exactly like her friend.

" This is beautiful Mummy" Genova said fascinated at the beautiful flowers scenery.

" I know right?" Daria turned to look at the alpha who walked behind them carefully like he was counting his footsteps.

" Common alpha, you look just like a guard behind us now" Daria said walking to kaden as she took his hands in hers.

" What else?... Since you insisted about not bringing the guards along" Kaden said.

Daria giggled, as she caressed his hands.

Silence ensued them for some minutes before daria broke the silence.

" The air's so cool" daria said with a blissful smile.

" Where's Genova?" Kaden asked looking around them.

"Huhn?" Daria gasped, the smile disappearing from her face.

" Where's the alpha and his fiancee?" Gamma Xander asked as he walked in taking his steps carefully with his usual trademark cold face.

The guards bowed respectfully as they saw him.

" They left since sunrise, my lord" the head guard, Tyron said bowing lightly.

" They left?" Xander growled, making the other guards step backward.

" They left so what are you punks doing here?" Xander continued his voice getting deeper. Tyron knew the gemma was getting vexed already.

" He...I mean, they...we were told to stay back my lord, but I actually sent a guard without their knowledge gemma" Tyron explained.

Xander gave them a long hard stare

turning to leave before hesitating again.

" Have you seen Beta Cole?" Xander asked.

" No my lord" Tyron replied.

" I'll be out to inspect some things in the pack, make sure to inform me when the alpha arrives, got it?

" Noted, my Lord" Tyron said.

" Mummy's back!" Crystal screamed excitedly as she flung herself into the arms of a woman with a similar blue eye and hair color.

" I thought you said you wouldn't stay long mum" crystal quizzed.

" Did I?" The woman asked lowering herself on a couch.

" Of course, you did stay long mum, very long. Aunt umbrie left not quite long" the girl shrugged returning to the picture book on a little pink table.

" She was here?" the woman, leilani murmured.

" Have you seen uncle Logan since you came back from school?" Leilani asked taking off her medical coat.

" Yeah, he even came to pick me up from school" the little girl explained her eyes not leaving her book.

" By the way mum, where exactly did you go that you couldn't even remember you had a child to pick from school?" Crystal frowned, pursing her little pink lips.

"Stop scolding me, little lady!" Leilani said smiling lightly.

Her little angel had always been like that, scolding her over every little mistakes.

She looked around her spacious office, sighing.

" Oh goodness, where had you been for christ's sake?" Umbrie yelled dramatically as she entered the office.

" I really need my own personal space, I can't take it anymore" the little girl murmured to the amusement of the ladies.

" Just ignore her as you've always done" Leilani smiled.

" Now, answer my question" umbrie commanded throwing herself on the large couch in the office.

" Just went for my usual rounds in the clinic" Leilani replied, scrolling through files.

"Wow, I never knew you had a different clinic aside this one here, I searched everywhere for you when your damn phone wasn't going through" umbrie yelled.

"Quit yelling brie" Leilani frowned glaring at her friend who looked unconcerned.

" Stop diverting from the question!"

" How persistent, well, cryst..." A knock sounded on the door before a young looking nurse walked in.

" Your attention is needed, Miss Miller" the nurse said gently, while leilani patted her daughter's head before going out.

" Mum's always too busy!" Crystal groaned arranging her books in her bag.

" Aunt, leggo" she grinned pulling umbrie's hand.

" Leggo where?"

" How do we go about it ma'am?" The nurse who came to call Leilani earlier asked, staring at the bed before returning her gaze to the latter who wasn't moving or saying a word.

"Ma'am?" The nurse said again trying to gain Leilani's attention.

" Don't worry about it, I'll have it done myself...and remember.." Leilani cut herself off, giving the nurse a warning glare, like she was communicating with her eyes.

" I understand ma" the nurse replied.

" Good, leave.." Leilani said.

The nurse bowed and walked away closing the door gently.

Giving the bed a last glance, Leilani walked out of the ward.

" Tyron!" A guard called.

" Anything the matter?" Tyron asked, looking like he was fustrated about something.

" It's getting dark Tyron, don't you think the alpha's stayed too long?"
