Luke’s POV

I was later woken up by Alex, bringing in some dinner. He placed the food on the bed tray and moved to wake Luke up, but I stopped him. I want to let Luke get as much sleep as he can. Alex helped me sit up, placing pillows on my back to support me. Luke was still lying beside me, hugging a pillow.

"I'll come back for the dishes later," Alex said before leaving the room.

I started eating the food in front of me, looking over at Luke once in a while. He looked peaceful while sleeping. He then woke up and quickly sat up beside me.

"You should've woken me up. I could've helped you eat." He said as he takes the fork from my hand.

"You looked like you needed the rest," I told him, and he replied with a shrug.

He stabbed the food with the fork and brought it up to my mouth. I took the food and kissed his cheek as a thank you. Luke's face turned beet red, and he diverted his attention to the food, cutting up the already-cut pieces.
